So, I’m the daughter of Merlin.
No surprises there… girl, wants to be best friends with me now, and my pixie roommate is forever fighting with her demon boyfriend.
Then there’s the tiny problem of beating my ex Matthew Humphrey the IV after he unleashed the White Dragon last summer.
Nice going, Mattie…
We are still destined to fight after all as former enemies turned lovers/enemies again. Yet I can’t deny that I am still in love with the beautiful bastard. A boy I am prophesied to defeat in battle. Fantastic.
What more could go wrong?
Oh, yeah, right. The Red Dragon happens to hate me too and refuses to cooperate. If I disturb his slumber, he will burn me to a crisp. Simple.
But not to worry, I have a magical sword!
This is an upper YA book, enemies to lovers romance that contains swearing and scenes of a mature nature, so it is
best suited for ages 16 and up. British characters speak in UK English, but the rest of the book is written in US English from the perspective of Bryn — an American student studying at a UK university.

Merlin’s Supernatural Academy: Waking the Dragon by Kaylee Rymer is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and young teens like 16+.

Loved this second book in the series, you have everything you could want and more packed into this book from action, adventure and a twist you didn’t see coming, can’t wait to read the next book in the series to find out what happens next
I received this book as an Arc from the author and I’m writing a review because I honestly loved it! I’m not generally a fantasy or sci—fi reader. But this book is a witty, hilarious, and unpredictable can’t put down book. A girl is Merlin’s daughter and it’s her turn to release a flag waving dragon. She and her classmates are frenemies so there’s a lot of backstabbing. Highly recommended.
I thought this was a fun story. There is language and sex so I would not recommend it for children. Mattie has his white dragon so Bryn must get her red dragon. The dragons are interesting characters and I really felt bad for Bryn’s dragon. There is a good relationship between Bryn and her dragon since they are soulmates, not in a romantic way. Bryn still wants Mattie even though the prophecy says they must fight to the death. I look forward to the next in the series.
This book has dragons, MERLIN, pixies, devils, wizards and a host of other paranormal beings. There is a prophecy. Not all are in the know about the prophecy. Who will save the world? The half humans are grouped together and may be more than others think. The dragon is the dragon on the Wales flag and not so eager to wake up. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next in the series.

It seems that every school has its bullies and clics, especially when you are the outsider. Bryn has to deal with both, but her house mates remain her friends through all the trials and tribulations even after finding out she is the “chosen one” and is headmaster, Merlin’s daughter. They assist her in her mission to wake the Red Dragon. And, when they lose the battle, they join her and the dragon in hiding.
I can’t wait to see what they do when they return from hiding.

Bryn is again in the middle of everything. She is part of the prophecy. This book has so many twists and turns that you have your head spinning. You laugh, you cry and you want to kick some arse. Friends become deceitful enemies and unpredictable enemies become friends. The dragons are more humanized and likeable than most. Language has some vulgar moments. I personally find the c word reprehensible. That’s just me. I received ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
K L Rymer has surpassed herself with this sequel.
It’s an absolutely fantastic sequel, that see the Mendacious House taking on the White Dragon and Matthew Humphrey, and waking up the infamous Red Dragon to help save the world.
Enemies become friend’s, lover’s become enemies. There is so much action it’s out of this world, you won’t be able to put it down until you’ve consumed every word. I can’t wait for the next instalment
If I could give it more than 5 star’s I would
