In the classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis, the most important writer of the 20th century, explores the common ground upon which all of those of Christian faith stand together. Bringing together Lewis’ legendary broadcast talks during World War Two from his three previous books The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity provides an unequaled … Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith.

Lewis reveals that the Christian faith is not only reasonable, but the only way to understand man and God correctly. Every Christian should read this book. It’s aimed at the common radio listener of his day, so almost anyone will understand his discussion.
thought provoking
Hard to find a book more “in reality” than this one. Fits right in with the rest of our Bible.
This is C. S. Lewis at his best. When people speak of classics, this is on the top tier of that list. Get it, read it, and you will be glad you did.
It is a classic work on Christianity – both for those who believe and those who do not.
One of — if not — THE best apologetics book on Christianity written in the 20th Century.
I well written, rather scholarly understanding of Christianity and even better of the foundation for belief in God and Jesus Christ. Well thought out and argued, with excellent imagery and understanding. One of my all time favorites.
This is a book that one can go back to and read over again for new insights into what it means to follow Jesus Christ. Profound thoughts that deepen one’s understanding of God and the Bible.
Can be a bit difficult to read, but worth it. Makes you think!
Lewis offers the best explanation of Christianity for those who want a clear and reasoned approach. Timeless.
Great book of conversion.
A good read.
Another great book by C S Lewis.
A timeless classic of value to all who read it.
A must read for skeptics and believers alike..
Everyone should read this book a couple of times and almost immediately.
One of the best books ever written. Every page is food for thought… great thoughts, deep thoughts. Amazing writer.
Mere Christianity is life-changing. With logic and clear illustrations to support his premise that Christianity is true, he presents the arguments that caused him to move from atheism to a follower of Jesus. It is well written and thought provoking without being preachy.
I greatly appreciate some of the points Lewis makes in this book, as well as some of the wording and imagery he uses when making those points. I also completely disagree with him on some things, but even in those areas this book still ends up challenging me to think about what I believe and why I believe it, which is beneficial in the long run. I’d say it’s a staple of Christian reading for a good reason.
Classic-enough said.
