In the classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis, the most important writer of the 20th century, explores the common ground upon which all of those of Christian faith stand together. Bringing together Lewis’ legendary broadcast talks during World War Two from his three previous books The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity provides an unequaled … Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith.

Deep, insightful, and very practical
C.S. Lewis is not an easy to read author, but the writing is deep and meaningful. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Matter-of-fact, unemotional, logical look at the Christian faith.
Everyone, Christian or not, needs to read this book. And The Screwtape Letters.
Essential reading!
Thoughtful look at CS Lewis and his self-conversion to Christianity. Full of Wisdom and introspection.
This is an excellent and intelligent argument for belief in Christianity.
Superb
A Christian classic – I’ve read this book a few times and always want to go back for more of Lewis’ truth.
A classic that can and should be read again and again.
Where to begin at understanding? Start here and return here.
Probably the most influential apologetics book written in the 20th Century.
Informative and thought provoking as well as faith-building.
A description of Christianity using logic and faith.
Mere Christianity is a great look at what Christianity is from a layman’s perspective. Lewis takes a difficult subject and tackles it with the wisdom that God grants His people. The explanations are such as can be understood by Christians and non-Christians alike.
Though Lewis makes many excellent points, I found his apparent belief in the theory of evolution to be distasteful. Whether or not he actually held the belief of evolution is unclear, but besides that, the book is a clear and simple explanation of what the author calls ‘mere’ Christianity.
If you’ve ever had questions about what Christians believe, why they have reason to believe it, and how it affects their behavior, this is the book for you. Take your chance and see what the book has to say to you.
There isn’t a better writer on the subject.
I think this book is more technical that anticipated. For me, it required more thought and analysis than most of the books written by C S Lewis. Usually find him a more positive and uplifting author. This is a book worth reading but it is not a quick, easy process.
Thought Provoking.
A classic
I loved the clear view of all that every Christian believes; our unity.
