In the classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis, the most important writer of the 20th century, explores the common ground upon which all of those of Christian faith stand together. Bringing together Lewis’ legendary broadcast talks during World War Two from his three previous books The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity provides an unequaled … Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith.

A Christan classic — a must-read for believers who are serious about understanding what they believe and being able to explain their faith to others.
Mere Christianity portrays the essence of the spiritual journey in a factual, logical, theological, and philosophical approach enlisting literary and imagery devices to clearly explain an expansive aspect of our lives with God. It’s a well thought out and well done book by a masterful writer and thinker.
A classic. Must read. Started as a series of radio addresses.
Great book by a great author!
The best explanation of Christianity that I’ve read.
This is not just a great, informative summary of Christianity. It is a peep into the mind and soul of every human who has ever lived. It reads as easily as any of your favorite crime or adventure stories.
C.S. speaks the direct truth in this book. Anyone can CHOOSE not to accept it, but no one can say it is not true and logical.
Best description ever of Christianity at it’s most basic.
Wonderful insights!
This is one of those books that has stayed with me for years. I have read it more than once and recommended it to many. Its most astonishing merit is that it can speak so personally to such a wide audience. Like Saint Augustine, Lewis thinks aloud for all the world to hear. He ponders important issues deeply and asks us questions that we too want answers to but rarely take the time to address. Why am I here? Who am I? What matters in my life? What is worth living for? What is worth dying for?
Whether the reader is a Christian or simply someone who wants to understand him or herself better, this is a great starting place to travel toward meaningful answers to life’s most important questions.
No one teaches quite as wonderfully and effectively as C.S. Lewis!
This is a book everyone should read. Its not light and fluffy. You are going to have to really think through every little bit of this, but if you are going to believe something you should do that anyway. Happy Reading!
One of best book of the year!

This is probably my favorite non-fiction book of all time, other than the Bible. A must-read for any Christian, or any non-Christian who wants to understand what Christians believe, and why. It’s a relatively short read, and you won’t just read it once, so do yourself a favor and buy this book.
This is the best “apologetic” work that I have read! He assumes nothing and walks with you on a remarkable journey of thought and discovery!
Clastic. Wonderful.
A moralistic-type approach toward Christian Living. Fueled with basic extinct principals on what separates Christian living apart from non-believers, C.S. Lewis will bring to the front, knowledge and understanding that is deeper and more salivating. Being a mere Christian is more than a list of rules, it is a greater way into instinctive living.
It is no accident that Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis is counted among the classics. Lewis, a former athiest turned devout Christian, wrote a powerful defense of true Christianity (as opposed to that which is Christianity in name only or a sort of false “holier than thou” Christianity which is not sincere Christianity at all) in a delightfully engaging manner. The book is a stunning work of theology written in such a way that one need not have an advanced degree in theology to understand it, yet Lewis never talks down to his audience. Usually following up his major points with examples or correlations, Lewis makes some of the deepest theological thought easily accessible. His wry sense of humor shines through as well, making this book a true delight.
A very good portrayal of Christianity from a great writer
