Great story! Tackling contemporary issues in a traditional setting
I just could not get into this book. I usually like this author’s work but not this one.
One of her first books. Not as good as her later ones, but worth reading. Lots of twists.
Jodi picoult once again makes you think. What would you do, how do you feel about this situation, there are people in this world who do love someone with every ounce of their being.
Great thought provoking read
Usually I love Jodi Piccoult but this one just took a while to engage.
As usual with a Picoult book, several different issues are addressed in this one. It is an easy read that is hard to put down.
Very interesting to see the two cousins stories play out.
Jodi continues with her brilliant writing about controversial topics.
Jod Picoult never ceases to amaze — original story line and great writing.
One of Jodi Picoult’s early novels, it “shows promise”. Certainly not one of her best, but is better than many first novels as it takes on serious topic .
This book really makes you think about a very controversial topic. A husband smothered his wife to death of her request because of a cancer that was terminal. Some say it was an act of love that drive Jamie to act out his wife’s request while others say it was an act of murder. Would you do anything for the one you love, even if it means ending their suffering? Watch the trial unfold as you read this book from beginning to end.
Thought provoking
The writing was good. The story itself was disjointed and disappointing.
By the end of the book, I didn’t care about any of the characters. They were very unlikeable.
3.5 stars for Picoult’s writing but not too keen on the subject matter.
Very thought provoking
The complex characters and novel plot make this book a fascinating read! The moral dilemna explored in this book will stay with you for a long time.
Can’t go wrong with any of jodi’s books
Not up to the author’s usual high standard
