Although I have purchased a couple of the previous books in this series, I have yet to read them. When I read the description of this book, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to review an Advanced Reader Copy.
There were some past situations that were brought up that left me feeling a bit in the dark. I’ll be reading all the previous books as soon as I can. Either way, this book was incredible! The things that Svetlana has suffered through! It broke my heart. But the thing that really drew me in and kept me reading well into the night was the tension and connection between Svetlana and Liam! I was starting to get anxious when my Kindle was showing 91% and things were just starting to really progress. I kept staring at my Kindle after reading the last words, hoping that more would appear. So now I’m itching for the next book!

This was an interesting story. Using a woman for a deal showing good faith. If I was in her shoes I would have tried to escape every opportunity that i was given. To hell with the consequences if I was caught. Svetland was caught and punished time and time again. Locked up by her uncle after her parents death, what a way to live. Going from one prison to another. Life was hard for Svetland. Liam was their to protect her and not let anything happen to her. Lock away in his home in the basement, I was sure if she traded one prison for another. Kidnapped, murder, mystery surrounds this story. I was intrigued with the story to see who was trying to kill Svetland, Liam brother wife, blow up Liam property and who was the leak to where Svetland was held. Great Story

This was my first Vi Carter book and I am seriously kicking myself for not finding this author sooner! This book was the perfect mix of dark and twisty that you need in a mafia story along with interesting characters that make you want to keep reading.
Svetlana has been her uncle’s prisoner for years and he has kept her locked away from the world, living in fear with the threat of punishment if she acts out. Her only true friend is her dog and she worries her uncle or his men would harm the dog to harm her. After she is punished from attempting to run away she is informed that she will be leaving their house and used for a good faith deal with the Irish. Liam doesn’t like anyone in his personal space, including his family, so he isn’t happy about having Svetlana around. He doesn’t know how long she will be there or why she is even there but he assumes that her uncle has ulterior motives and she is supposed to distract him while she’s there. The longer they are around each other the harder it is to deny their feelings, but she isn’t his and and some point he is going to have to give her back… or will he?
I can’t say enough amazing things about this book!! Liam was everything!! He’s a tortured soul that really doesn’t know how deal with emotions, I remember one scene he even thought something along the lines that he didn’t know how to react with someone seeking out comfort from him because he normally cause of the distress. He wants to keep his walls up, be the stone cold mafia man but yet he can’t help but want to protect Svetlana and claim her as his own. Watching his evolution over the story was so swoon worthy at times! Svetlana is definitely one of my favorite female leads, even though she is shifted from one impossible situation to another she keeps fighting. She’s quick on her toes, resourceful and I was continuously impressed by her character.
The chemistry between Svetlana and Liam was insane in a good way, even when she was terrified of him and he was annoyed by her. Once they started to give into their feelings I was pretty much done. I haven’t had the opportunity to read the other stories in this series but I plan to make sure I’m caught up for book 5! I highly recommend this book!

4 1/2 Stars
Svetlana made for a great heroine as she was both vulnerable and strong at the same time. Her appearance in Lia’s life threw his cold ruthless heart out of wack. Liam was the epitome of the cruel mob boss who cold bloodedly killed and manipulated others easily and without remorse. Svetlana’s gruesome and abusive life with her perverted Uncle, and his sadistic henchman semi prepared her for her temporary captivity with Liam.
I liked the way the author carefully set the stage for their forced relationship. Lots of suspense and drama with no one really in Svetlana’s corner to protect her.
This dark mafia drama was complex with a lot of moving parts with Liam trying to keep his brothers protected while trying to find out their threats.
Within the dealings of his violent, bloody and sinister life, their romance grows in spite of Liam trying to dehumanize his feelings for Svetlana.
Huge upsetting cliffy at the end!

I started this series on # 4 Merciless so it’s possible I’m missing some connections between characters. Even though I have, it still has good explication of what’s happening as it’s going along and I’m loving it!
I meet Svetlana, the future Queen Of Czech and her mafia uncle, Mr. Novak, with his heavy heartless soul, that seems to use his niece at his whim for his economy gain. If she doesn’t follow through, she gets whipped by her uncle righthand hitman, Holic.
She wishes to be free but each time they catch her and she’ll have to lie to stay alive!
Svetlana is bargained off for a time to Liam O’ Reagan, a hotelier and he’s mafia, in Ireland but this is the funny thing, she has to return safe and still a Virgin. She’s beautiful and I love how she acts like she doesn’t speak English and Liam knows she can speak because he did a back ground check on her! I love their enter action between each other and the growing chemistry.
I love how we are seeing a piece of the characters and the story behind them and how they rely on their big brother Liam to fix the family problems.
You’ll get to see how ruthless Liam can be and how Svetlana brings a softer side to him. It does end on a cliffhanger!
Can’t wait for the next book!

This book number 4 in the Wild Irish’ series and the books in this series can be read as standalones. Liam who is part of a crime family and he winds up having to hold Svetlana prisoner. Svetlana has a very brutal background but yet she is very grateful for Liam’s care. Svetlana can’t possible think of the idea of going back to her old life and what might happen to her. Can Liam keep her safe and his hands off of her ??? Will Liam be able to protect Svetlana?? Read this book to find out what happens with Svetlana and Liam.

Vi Carter has written an interesting book that deals with Svetlana being used as good faith for a deal. Svetlana has been locked up by Uncle Mr. Novak since her parents died. She escapes a few times but she is always caught and punished after she is returned. Now she is told that she is going to be staying with someone in Ireland for good faith. She knows she has no way out so she goes along with it. Liam is who she is going to be with and he is only doing this for a business deal. When Svetlana and her Uncle get to the meeting spot Mr. Novak tries to change the contract but Liam doesn’t let him. Liam takes Svetlana to his private quarter which is in the basement of his home and then locks her in. She is not a happy person and will wait to escape. Things do not go well for Svetlana when someone breaks in and kidnaps her and drives off in a van. Liam is able to follow them and he sees them wreck and go into the lake. Liam is able to get Svetlana out but not before she swallows water. When Liam gets her out he sees she is cut up and he takes her back home and has a doctor come and check her out. Liam wants to know how someone found out that she was there and how they got to her. Svetlana’s uncle calls Liam and tells him he heard that she had been hurt and tells him, he is coming to get her. Liam tells Mr. Novak that there is no reason to come to get her. Liam has other business that he needs to take care of but he doesn’t want to leave Svetlana alone. He needs to find out who killed his brother’s wife at their wedding. Someone blew up a building on his property and as he goes to see what is going on, he sees someone running away. He catches the person and it is the female he had been looking for. He has her strapped to the same chair that he put Svetlana in. When he goes back to his private quarters he looks for Svetlana but at first, he doesn’t see her, he thinks she has left. Svetlana comes up behind him. Liam starts to have feelings for Svetlana but can’t do anything about them.
Will Svetlana ever be free of her uncle or will she have to go back to him?
Can Liam find out who killed his brother’s wife and also save Svetlana from her uncle?
This book has a mystery that needs to be solved and it will keep you reading to the last page.

A story with several things going on at once. Liam seems heartless and cruel. Svetlana is being used as a pawn by her uncle, but to what purpose. They form some bond that neither can understand. This story is not for the faint of heart. I look forward to seeing where their bond takes them. The characters were well-developed.

This is the fourth book in the series and they really need to be read in order or you are going to end up lost, I think they just keep getting better and better and Liam and Svetlana’s book was definitely my favorite so far, it was a good read with lots going on to keep me hooked all the way until the end. I can’t wait for the next one.
I really enjoyed this story. The hero and heroine are very compelling. Your drawn into their story right away. This is a continuation of the first three books in the series. Not having read those did leave me at a loss at times. There is violence and torture in the book which maybe too much for some people. It is a cliffhanger which I wasn’t expecting.

I really liked this book. Liam seems like a really hard to like hero, but I felt it after a couple of chapters. He was legit scary though. Svetlana was doing the best she could. I liked their progression, but she went from not trusting him to trusting him slightly quickly, and I do mean slightly. There wasn’t a dull moment, but a couple of things bothered me. One was the lack of commas when speaking to a person. There were a lot of instances where a person was speaking to another person and it was written like “Thank you Danny” instead of “Thank you, Danny”. Silly I know, but more pleasing to my eyes.
The other thing was that this is not a stand alone. That’s totally fine, but there was nothing that let me know this was a serial book and would leave me hanging with their problems nowhere near being resolved. I thought it was a series and each person got a story that was told over the course of the book with a maybe HEA and while they were connected by the characters, some things wrapped up. But its more of a soap opera where sometimes they focus on one couple and then when it gets good they switch so you’re left screaming because you don’t know if someone died or who the baby’s father is or will she come out of that coma? But read these in order so they make more sense and you get a more full picture of the world she has built. Thanks to Booksprout for the chance to start a series I have had my eye on for awhile.
This is my favorite installment in the ‘Wild Irish’ series. Liam, part of a crime family, winds up having to hold Svetlana prisoner. With her brutal background, she is grateful for Liam’s care. She can’t bear to go back for fear of what might befall her. Will Liam be able to keep her safe (and his hands off her)? Will he be able to protect Svetlana?
An HEA is a requirement for me, and this story didn’t disappoint.

This is quite a series. Liam is a mafia boss and Svetlana was given to him. Her life is in danger but from who, him or his family. Ready to see what happens next in their story.
