This book was so enjoyable. It made me laugh, and smile. I love it when you read the last page of a book and it leaves you with a smile feeling warm and happy.
At the beginning of this book, there was so much tension and anxiety between Isaac and Natalie. Tracey Alvarez was once again able to work her magic and weave a tale that would keep a reader engaged to the very last paragraph.
This is a tale of love, loyalty, friendship and family. No worries, all of the steamy bits are also included. Read and enjoy yourself in Bounty Bay.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.
Each book I read in this series is my favorite, but I really mean it this time! I loved Glenn, understood Nate, but Isaac…oh boy, Isaac beat them both. He is my favorite male character by far. What’s not to love about a muscular teddy bear who would do anything for the woman he loves even if it means destroying his reputation?
As a writer trying to break into the romance genre, I just want to travel to New Zealand and have Tracey Alvarez mentor me. Her writing is beautiful, witty, and pulls me into believing I am the character as I read. Well done. As always.
Tracey Alvarez writes living dialogue for fantastic characters you’d love to meet. You get to know everyone in the Far North and you enjoy coming back to see what they’ve been up to. While you can read her books in any order, you’ll enjoy them so much more to go in sequence. Ms. Alvarez must be New Zealand tourism’s secret weapon. You want to visit, after you read this series or the Due South books. Absolutely phenomenal books!
Every book this author writes is solid gold. The characters are people I would love to call friends. The locations are gorgeous. The stories allow me to step into communities in New Zealand and make me want to be there. And, I can’t wait for the next book from this author once I put the one I am reading down.
In this book two wonderful people, once friends, eventually find their way to something more than friendship but not easily. Natalie lost her husband, Jackson, five years before the story begins and she has been raising her teenage daughter, Olivia, on her own while running a business. She has friends in the community and believes she is content…except there is that niggling feeling that keeps her at a distance from Isaac. Who is Isaac? He was her husband’s mate and best friend on and off the rugby pitch. He was there for the major events in the lives of Jackson and his family. He was a good friend and like a brother to Natalie for years…until…an accident occurred that tore both of their lives apart.
When Olivia decides she wants to play rugby but there is no coach for the girl’s team she asks Isaac to volunteer – and he does. Natalie is there to support the team and as she spends time at practices and games the relationship between her and Isaac begins to change. There is definitely chemistry and caring and sharing but also truths that need to see the light before a true HEA can be achieved for Natalie and Isaac.
I loved this book and am looking forward to reading the next in the series. There are plenty of single men and women in Bounty By that still need to have their stories told and I am EAGER to read each and every one of them!
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
