Good read. Explains why Nameless exists.
I really liked this series. It was fast moving. Books are stand alone, but also a series.
Great series
An unpredictable ending to a short series I enjoyed thoroughly.
There are six novellas in the series. Each is a great story in itself, and leads to this unexpected ending that you don’t want to see end. If you enjoy a fast-paced thriller with a character you root for, this is it.
Characters I find memorable and who I find myself trying to figure out what makes them tick are those like Nameless. Albeit unlawful at times, he tries to find some sort of justice and/or retribution for those wronged. Perhaps it’s insane to root for someone who takes justice into his own hands, but I did root for Nameless. And this ending wasn’t what I expected. Loved it.
Bring NAMELESS back. Don’t end here.
Good book quick stories. Total of 6 in the Nameless series. Entertaining.
A nice ending to the short story series. By far the best of them as well since we finally get to know Nameless a lot better. He is a man I’d root for.
Saving Lives, Thwarting Evil
For Mature Readers
Limited strong language
No sex
Violence, but not in horrible, horrible detail
Suspenseful!
Nameless is sent by the entity he only knows as Ace to rescue a young boy from the man who has abducted him. Complicating the mission are flashes of intense and horrifying premonition, or are they memories?
Highly recommended
( I’m copying and pasting this same review for all 6 of the series of Nameless) I have been a fan of Mr. Koontz FOREVER!!! He is a master story-teller and one that can hold your attention whether it’s for a ‘short story’ or a full length novel. This first short story in the series of Nameless: In the Heart of Fire was indeed up to par with the usual Koontz suspense and intrigue.
I’m glad I was able to have the next 5 (Photographing the Dead; The Praying Mantis Bride; Red Rain; The Mercy of Snakes ; and Memories of Tomorrow (my favorite) waiting in line to continue the saga of Nameless and his ‘justice’ he served in each one. I can see Nameless becoming a full length novel or if he wanted to keep them short stories, to continue into the next 6 books. 🙂 All in all, they are something that is easy to read, quick to read, and a joy to read.
Great read with an interesting ending to an interesting short series by author Dean Koontz. Questions are answered in this last chapter of Nameless about who Nameless is/was and so on. Recommend checking out this entire Nameless series.
Fantastic series fantastic book. I hope there are more to this series. Plenty of twist and turns.

Genre: Thriller
This is the final installment in the Nameless series. Nameless’s mission is to rescue a young boy (Jamie) who is held captive in a cave by his stepfather who has murdered the boy’s mother. This book has more tension than the previous ones as more details are revealed about the main character’s past.
I liked this story more than all the previous ones due to the hard situation. However, I still feel the ending was not as big as I wanted it to be. I really wished for more when it came to the past of the main character that we had just glimpses about in the previous books. More elaboration would have made a bigger difference. Overall, the series is good though. Short and easy to read.
This was the best in the series yet because it finally gave some back story details to who Nameless was and what his visions meant. He rescued another in need, eliminated another monster and found out more about what he’s forgotten. Great series!
