This is a great start to Memory ranch. As Ellie starts to remember things after her accident there are things she is not too happy about. As she falls in love with life on the ranch and with Landon who is helping with her therapy she is confused. When she remembers everything she will have to decide between her old life and the new one.
Sweet and Clean Romance with some Twists and Turns and a Great Horse or Two!
I just finished reading Memories of Home (The Memory Ranch Romances Book 1) by Melissa Storm and Kay P. Dawson. What an enjoyable read! A sweet and clean romance with some twist and turns. This is a page turner for sure. And I love that the story is blended with kindness to animals and rescue horses. I totally enjoyed this book and will read a LOT more by this author!
Really enjoyed this book. Surprise ending you don’t see coming.
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily giving my review.
Ellie goes to Memory Ranch to help her remember after her accident. Will she remember who the man is in her dream? I love the idea of using horses to help in recovery. Landon was such a sweet and kind guy. A really sweet romance but also a story of learning about yourself, others, reconciliation and forgiveness. A great start to this series. I also like the tie in with The Sled Dog Series.
This is a great book set in Alaska for the most part. Well written and very interesting. I did not want to put the book down.
Ellie is a beautiful girl with a modeling career. She is involved in a car accident which puts her into a coma. She leaves the hospital to go to Memory Ranch. there she meets Liz the owner and 2 ranch hands. One is Landon the young cute one and Howard an older man. She keeps having a dream about a man but who is this mystery man?
Not only is Ellie hurting but on the ranch is a horse named Penny. Can anyone help Penny like they think they can help Ellie?
Ellie has not had any contact with her father since childhood and she reconnects with him after her accident. I felt like she wanted to disconnect with her mother but did not. she showed both parents respect.

What an entertaining read! I like Ellie so much! My heart went out to her and how she was hurting to get her memory back. This story was fantastic, just when I thought It was coming to an end there was a major twist in the story that had me blown away. I can’t tell you enough how great of a book this is! I also loved that this story had a horse named Penny who was abused and was taken in to give her a chance at life. I feel in love with Penny and it was like reading two stories. I kept turning pages at record speed to find out more about Ellie’s and Penny’s story! This story should be rated 10 stars!
Enjoyed this book. Especially liked the outcome of the book, did not see it coming.
Ellie is starting her life over. She’s flying blind with no safety net to break the fall. Memories of Home is one woman’s inspiring quest to rebuild her life after her world falls apart. A stranger haunted by images she can’t remember and a life her heart won’t let her forget. She decides to find her own happiness. Within the present. Storm and Dawson cram a big message in a tiny bundle. Past mistakes are not the totality of who we are. They’re only a stepping stone that guides us to become who we are meant to be.
This is a wonderful story, a clean, sweet romance that includes horses. What more could you ask for
This series is proving to be one you won’t want to miss!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from Storm Super Readers
Very descriptive story, it actually reminds me of the type of movies on TV. It’s attention-grabbing, interesting and the mystery of her memories is very gripping. I couldn’t stop until the end because I just had to know…..enjoyed reading this.
Beautiful Beginnings
Ellie had done everything her mom wanted with pageants, modeling, losing a man she care about. Dating didn’t feel right then she had her accident and lost her memory. He dad came to help and suggested Memory Ranch near Anchorage. Between the fresh air, the staff and Landon the wonderful guy who works there it’s a start.
Head Trauma
We are learning more and more that the delicate brain in its hard case is still subject to shock and concussion when traumatized. What make the mind and memories work is far from known although science is trying to find out. More and more research points to the roles of animals in securing tenuous holds on memory and self for dementia and Alzheimer patients. Our heroine has been in an accident and has lost not her mind, but her memories. Great story line and character development. The writing draws you in and you’ll find yourself flipping pages (virtual or real) as fast as you can read!
Ellie had just left a date with a horrible man and was dating to get over losing the love of her life while dealing with a modeling career that she didn’t enjoy anymore when she got into the car accident and lost her memory. After recovering physically enough to leave the hospital, she goes to Memory Ranch in Alaska to emotionally heal and remember her past. Ellie connects with broken previously abused horse Penny and ranch hand Landon. But how can she have romantic feelings about Landon when she dreams about the mystery man love of her life? I loved reading more about Liz from the Sled Dog Series and her horse therapy ranch. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I couldn’t read this story fast enough but was crushed when it ended all too soon. I was completely invested in Ellie’s story from the beginning and couldn’t wait to discover if her memories would return, which of her parents she would choose, if Penny could be tamed and who her mystery man was. All of these questions were answered in ways that far exceeded my expectations.
Memories of Home is a wonderful, sweet romance set in a beautiful location. This is the first book in a new series from two very talented authors. The Memory Ranch is an incredible place and I am looking forward to my next visit. I definitely recommend this book.
Memories of Home by Melissa Storm and Kay P. Dawson is a sweet, emotional story about a woman – a supermodel – whose mother is living her life through her daughter. Ellie is looking for a lasting relationship with a man, unable to find “him”, when she is involved in a car accident that almost takes her life, but takes her memory. She moves into the Memory Ranch in hope of finding her lost memories while her body heals.
This is a wonderful story that will keep you turning pages. You will want Ellie to regain her memory and find the love of her life. Is it possible?
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and I love the way everything unfolds while turning pages. I highly recommend this book.
MEMORIES OF HOME is the first in the Memory Ranch series. Memory Ranch is a spin-off of the Sled Dog series. Specifically, LET THERE BE LIFE, featuring Elizabeth Jane and Dorian. There is no need to have read that story to enjoy this one, but I do recommend it and the entire Sled Dog series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this clean romance full of inspiring views and thoughts. I could just picture the beautiful vistas in California and Alaska (not to mention the beautiful people).
From the first time she saw him, I knew that Landon would be meaningful in her life. I just didn’t know how important! Their story was sweet, inspiring, uplifting, and romantic. It made me laugh, growl, and sigh!
I’m always amazed that two authors can tell one story seamlessly, but Kay P. Dawson and Melissa Storm have done it. Beautifully.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This was a sweet story. Ellie was in an accident and she was lucky to survive. She has lost her memories, and in an effort to recover she books a stay at a healing horse ranch in Alaska. A handsome ranch hand seems to be falling for her, but she keeps waking up with dreams of a faceless, nameless man she is sure is somewhere in her past, if she could just remember. I enjoyed this book and would read others by this author.
This book is a wonderful and entertaining story of Ellie Hawkins and Landon Hayes. The characters make you feel as if you know them and the plot keeps you wondering how it will all work out in the end. This is a real page turner. I enjoyed this collaboration between Melissa Storm and Kay P. Dawson and I hope to see more from them as a team. I am also looking forward to the next book in this series.
I found this book to be beautiful and thought provoking! What would you do if you woke up after an accident and had no memory of your life before that moment? You have dreams of people without faces, especially a man that must mean a great deal to you but he keeps running away from you. You have parents that come to the hospital and they apparently hate each other so there is constant bickering and yelling (they are divorced, of course) but you are just trying to make sense of things! You find out you are a fashion model but your body and brain are broken. Your father tells you that you used to love horses, although you don’t remember, so you decide to go to Alaska to a ranch that specializes in memory care. You come to find yourself there and although memories don’t come back quickly, you come to find a “new you”. You also might find a new love. This book is so touching and made me think about myself so many times! I was very glad I read it!
