Big, sexy men who don’t relate well to kids need not apply… attraction to Stewart Island’s hot school teacher.
Kezia Murphy plays her widow card well. When you don’t trust people not to let you down, you don’t get involved. Though Ben makes her skin sizzle just by looking at him, he’s counting the days until he’s once again a single man. But no matter how much Kezia yearns for his touch, and her daughter Zoe longs for a daddy, can Ben ever be the right man for the job?

“It’s official…I’m hooked on this series! I want to jump on a plane and fly to this island, because apparently they grow them big and HOT in New Zealand…men that is!!!” ~ Swept Away By Romance
“Perfection comes in many shapes and forms, and Ms Alvarez delivers in her contemporary voice and quirky character traits that make a distinctive difference between average and stellar storytelling.” ~ InD’Tale Magazine
“Just as the must-read series of Donna Kauffman (The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove), Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor), Terri Osburn (Anchor Island), Marie Force (The McCarthys of Gansett Island), Sherryl Woods (Chesapeake Shores) have entranced me with their seaside settings and caring communities – so has Tracey Alvarez – and I’m adding her series to my must-read shelf too.”~ Fab Fantasy Fiction

I love stories about New Zealand and Tracey hit the mark with this romance.
Book 2 in the Due South series involving two characters that were introduced in In Too Deep. I didn’t connect with this one as well as I did book 1. There really isn’t anything wrong, it’s just I didn’t feel the chemistry between Ben and Kezia like I did West and Piper.
Kezia is a young widow who has taken a third-grade teaching position in Oban …
Ben’s whole world is rocked when the eight year old daughter he never knew he’d fathered arrives on his doorstep. Luckily as well as support from his family, his neighbour Kezia Murphy and her daughter Zoe help him connect with Jade. Ben has lusted after Kezia since she arrived on the island but her keep off signals have till now kept the men …
Another wonderful
Story in the series. This time Ben is front and center, he finds out he has 8 year old daughter from a weekend hook up that left the island, but he might have actually found love. Kezie moved to the island with her daughter, she is a teacher & a widow, but relationships haven’t been her strong suit. Can they work.
Ben, the hulk of a manly man gets schooled by the hot teacher, Kezia, in this enchanting story of two people trying so very hard not to fall in love. Zoe and Jade are delightful scene stealers. Sexual tension you can cut with a knife.
Ben and Kezia are an unlikely pair. There is no way these two can get together because Ben does not like kids. Or is there still a way? It is such a small town that everyone knows everything about each other. Yet, Ben still finds himself falling for Kezia. I liked Kezia. I thought she was a very strong woman who had lost so much. Ben took …
Ben has a eight years old daughter he didn’t know about. When her mother drops her in Stewart Island to spend two weeks with him. He doesn’t know what to do with her. Kazie, her neighbour down the street, mother of an eight year girl too and teacher in Stewart Island school will try to help him. But can she protect her heart from falling in love …
4.5.stars
This was the first book I read in the Due South series. The one that got me hooked. I liked Ben and Kezia’s buildup and the way their relationship developed. I also liked the way Ben mellowed, and matured as he became more of a dad to Jade.
One of the best parts of the Due South series is the relationship relationships between family …
This is my absolute favorite of Tracey ALvarez’s Stewart Island series, which is really saying something because I love them all. The growing relationship with the children was sweet and the adult relationship was heartwarming.
Absolutely adorable! A great read that will make you laugh, cry, and capture your heart! Two amazing little girls and a couple that everyone will want the happily ever after for!
Loved this storyline and the ending was great!!!
Love all of the stores set on Stewrt’s island. Real people with real problems and satisfying conclusions. The stories are laced with romance and spiced with emotions so you begin to care about the characters almost right away. Can’t wait to explore more of this series.
Enjoyed the whole series
This story starts with a good idea, but it takes way too long to tell the story because too much time is spent developing unimportant details. If you’re out of books to read, this is find, but I have so many others to read that are better.
Excellent!
Fabulous fun read! Love the characters and setting. Will read again!
Loved it…..couldnt put it down.
Loved the variety of characters, their personalities and inter connections.
Really enjoyed this book. The main characters were regular working class folks, neither of them were rich with money but blessed with morals and character. A great read!!!!
Enjoyed it very much now reading book 2
