This story was a really interesting read, and I enjoyed all the glimpses into the other stories in the series as Briska worked behind the scenes to see the various couples get together safely. It took a few chapters for me to get into the story but then it was really enjoyable.
Here are a few examples of the many stories connected and mentioned in this one:
The next tale in this series will be Spin: Rumpelstiltskin Retold (Romance a Medieval Fairytale series, #13)
Maram and Aladdin find their happily-ever-after (and Amani is freed) in Wish: Aladdin Retold (Romance a Medieval Fairytale series, #11)
Tale of Hansel and Gretel (who lied about being siblings) is in Return: Hansel and Gretel Retold (Romance a Medieval Fairytale series, #10)
Tale of Melitta, George and the dragon is in Embellish
I really enjoyed this very different rendition of the Snow Queen. The author’s vision of the origins of the woman stuck in the icy north and the man seeking her really twisted my understanding of the fairy tale (particularly since Kay and Gerta are not central to the story at all). This inventiveness is the author’s trademark and why I keep reading this series.
A fairy tale for adults. Very entertaining but with a couple of R rated sections.
Awesome story
Melt: Snow Queen Retold (Romance a Medieval Fairytale series Book 12)
Is a magical tale of an enslaved enchantress, a magic mirror, and whose match will be made next. This is the continuation of Princess Maryam’s mother Queen Briska who is accused of treason and married to the Sultan, Maryam’s father, but she is head over heals in love with Armani the man she cannot be with. Character’s from previous books are intertwined through out this magical tale. The synopsis is intriguing and the well crafted tale keeps you captivated until the end. With some sweet moments and not so sweet moments this tale will take you on spellbinding roller coaster ride. A unrivaled writing style that fits the fantasy exquisitely and creates a unparalleled enchanting read.
Another storyland retold in the way the author has the knack for. Wonderful descriptive characters. A Queen, Briska, is taken from her lover Amani and made to endure life as servitude to a concubine witch. But along comes Amani, her lover, trying to find his Queen. Wonderful storyline, good book. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved that lots of the characters from earlier books in this series are woven through the storyline. I really liked how their stories are connected yet at the same time not connected. There are lots of sweet moments, and some not so sweet moments. Briska and Armani are torn apart and after a lengthy separation while they are both imprisoned they are finally reunited, and get their happy ever after.
Maram’s (from Wish) mother, Briska and her mother’s lover, Amani, were turned into djinn for their sins. Forced to serve as slaves to their masters: a punishment much more severe than their crime. Both Briska and Amani paid a terrible price for their forbidden love. This story weaves together snippets of many, if not all, of the series stories.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily posted an honest review.
