Read the book NYT bestselling author Whitney G called “a sexy, fast paced read that’ll leave you hot, panting, and completely captivated!”Fire captain and bar owner Becker Thomas usually spends his nights alone, trying to escape painful memories from his past. When he meets a sexy, free-spirited brunette outside his bar, he knows he’s found the perfect way to forget for one night. But when he … one night. The brooding man who gave her the best sex ever is an unexpected surprise. The problem is, he’s her brother’s friend…and a fireman. She knows she’s going to get burned, but keeping their hands off each other is easier said than done.

nice read
Realistic portrayal of all the worries and problems getting involved with a fireman.
This was a quick and steamy read. Megan, a freelance artist and photographer, meets Becker, a bar owner and fire chief, at his bar Sparks fly instantly and they spend the night together. The next day, secrets are revealed that they weren’t expecting and makes them put a stop to their relationship. They can’t keep away from each other though and eventually learn to work things out.
This was a steamy, quick read that hit the spot. I liked both of them, the romance between them, and their relationship. Overall, a good book.
Wow I just love Lauren’s books and this one is right there at the top. Wow Becker is hot, sweet, honest and oh so loving, yum. Megan is so lucky to have went back home and down that alley. She finally woke up and takes a chance with hotty Becker, yeah. Thank you for the wonderful story, I couldn’t put it down.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the novel Melt for Me: A Fighting Fire Novella book 2 by Lauren Blakely and this review was given freely.
A steamy story filled with irony, healing, and a happy ending. A steamy chance encounter with Jamie’s boss the owner of the Panting Dog microbrewery, Megan’s brother Travis, and Smith’s Fire Captain brings Becker and Jamie’s gunshy best friend the multifaceted freelance artist and photographer Megan more than a reprieve from bag memories. 18+ novel
I loved this emotional, and sexy forbidden romance! It has a little of everything that I look for, wonderful characters, moving story line, great banter, and steamy passion! Megan and Becker have a tantalizing meet cute behind the bar that Becker owns. They have an instant connection and chemistry. They act on that chemistry with a night of explosive passion. They didn’t open up completely about who they were, since Megan was only in town for a short time. Unfortunately, a repeat night is out of the question, when they discovered the next day, that each is a hard limit they both try to avoid. For Becker, he avoids relationships, especially with the sister of his friend and colleague. Megan avoids relationships with firemen because of the tragic loss of her firefighter father, and seeing how devastated her mom was afterward. But Megan and Becker can’t avoid their magnetic pull, no matter how hard they try and fight it. I really liked Megan and Becker as they helped each other break down their walls and open their hearts. Megan was strong and independent while Becker was so sweet and swoony. Ms. Blakely weaved a beautiful and seductive love story with genuine characters, witty banter and explosive chemistry. It didn’t have over the top angst, or drama, but still had the emotional ardor that I love. I really loved Erin Mallon, and Joe Arden together. Their voices really complimented each other and they were each absolutely perfect for Megan and Becker. Their comedic timing and heartfelt performances were amazing and they made this romance even better.
I love that there’s not a lot of drama and angst to these books, just some little hiccups that are able to be worked out. Great characters, great interactions, major hot factor. I think Lauren Blakely is becoming one of my go-to authors! (I have to laugh, I wrote this review in 2014,a nd yes, Ms, Blakely is definitely one of my go-to authors to this day!)
Becker is definitely swoon-worthy, and Megan was someone you could be friends with- they were sweet together, and there was some major hot factor happening! I’m glad they found each other, they were just what the other needed! Can’t wait for more in this series!
