I gave it 4 stars becuz it a series / never ending book
It’s not complete
This is part of a great series. The series needs to be read in order to understand the actions of the characters. I highly recommend this series.
I love the Steel Brothers. Can’t wait for book 10 to come
Can’t say why high about this series and Helen Hardt!
Jonah and Melanie are embarking on their journey falling helplessly while wading the mirky mystery filled waters. Melanie prides herself on her skills as a talented and caring therapist. Helping Talon Steel make such progress has been so rewarding – if only all her cases could be such “success stories”. Losing Gina Cates, not seeing the signs, eats at Melanie. Jonah has been carrying a heavy burden since the day he let Talon down 25 years ago. He is the older brother and it was his responsibility to protect his brother and he failed him horribly. Still he carries that cross and it weighs heavy on his soul. When he crosses paths with Dr Melaine Carmichael, he is overcome with a yearning to make her his, even though he knows he has no business wanting her. Trading in guilt, secrets, and mystery this Steel installment sizzles.
Well, I need to talk about author, Helen Hardt. She has just blown my mind! I received “Craving” for free and it was fantastic, so I bought the remaining 8 books in the Steele Brothers Series. Then, I bought all 9 audiobooks because I love to listen to the voices. The narrators were perfect! The storyline was amazing; not what I was expecting at all. I love how a male narrator and female narrator took turns, back and forth. Each book tells part of the overall story, and it will keep you reading/listening till the end. No laggy parts. I highly recommend this brilliant series!
Jonah Steel and Melanie Carmichael are two people being eaten alive by guilt. They are also two people who are inextricably drawn to one another. Things get hot and heavy with them but there’s more than either one is willing to admit. Jonah discoverers information that may lead to the third suspect in Talon’s kidnapping and molestation but he is reluctant to act on that information in case he’s wrong. While they continue to get more answers to questions, the questions keep a rising. Melanie has problems of her own when a complaint is filed against her by a grieving father of one of her patients who commited suicide.
Puzzle pieces are fitting together and things aren’t adding up. Even though the crime againt Talon occured 25 years ago now that the Steels are searching for clues strang things start to happen. Danger seems to be lurking. Be prepared, this book ends in a cliffhanger.
Even after the love for talon steel you cannot help falling for his older brother Jonah. He is smart, strong, and cares for his family. But there is a dark side to him that will make you want to reach out to.
Jonah Is amazing. I just have to have more of him!!!!
