She’s just what he needs to mend his broken heart. Too bad they can’t stand each other.Jordan Thomas is only in Sweet Mountain, Montana to make amends with her brother, Ethan, but when she discovers that town bad guy Carter Pittman is pulling a fast one on the elderly proprietor of Pinecrest Lodge she vows to take action. After all, she is a private investigator and if the lame town sheriff isn’t … town sheriff isn’t going to do something she isn’t about to sit by and watch someone else be taken advantage of. She knows all too well how that feels.
Sheriff Jake Lincoln has been working long and hard to put away Carter Pittman, but getting the evidence against him requires time and patience. When newbie private investigator Jordan Thomas starts nosing around, he is not happy. It doesn’t help at all that Jordan is sister to his Ranger buddy Ethan. Or that she’s drop dead gorgeous.
He’s heard about the trouble between the two of them and knows she’s not to be trusted. Jake’s been burned before so he’s not letting Jordan in. Not to investigate the problem and certainly not with his heart.

This is the 3rd book of the Sweet Mountain Billionaires series. The premise of the series is that single guests who stay at Sweet Mountains’ Pinecrest Lodge do not stay single. Even if they aren’t looking for love! Although you can read this book as a standalone, I highly encourage you to read the first two, just because they are so darned good!
This book introduces us to Jordan Thomas, the sister of the hero of the first book, Ethan. Ethan and Jordan have been estranged for several years, and have recently put the past behind them in order to mend their relationship. This is why the town’s sheriff, Jake Lincoln, thinks Jordan is just like his cheating ex-wife. Of course, by the time Jake figures out that Jordan is a not that type of person, Jordan has doubts about Jake. The only thing better than watching them work through their misconceptions about each other is watching them work together to take down the town’s bad guy, Carter Pittman. Pittman has been sabotaging the owner of Pinecrest Lodge for reasons we have yet to determine in the first two books, and it is quite satisfying to see Jordan and Jake work to take him down.
I can’t wait until book 4 to see if Pittman ends up behind bars for a long time, or if he finds a way to weasel out of trouble! Overall, this was the best of the three books, which just keep getting better. I love the strong characters, the mystery and action of the storyline, but I especially love watching Pinecrest Lodge works it magic.
Billionaire Brother is Book 3 in the Sweet Mountain Billionaires Series. This is a stand alone book and one does not need to read the first two books to enjoy this book, but they are equally as great.
Jordan Thomas is in Sweet Mountain, Montana to make peace with her brother Ethan but when she discovers that town bad guy Carter Pittman is trying to take advantage of the elderly, she tries to but into Sheriff Jake’s investigation
This is a great romance with a hint of mystery. I loved the characters in this book and the setting is really fun. The plot is well thought out and flows very easily. If your looking for a sweet romance with an element of mystery, you will love this book as much as I did !
Romantic suspense. The campground works its magic once again.
The title of the book suggests a billionaire romance, but it’s not. It’s romantic suspense. And suspense, this author is good at! Really good.
Ruby, the owner of Pinecrest Lodge and the sweetest old lady Jordan had ever met, was in trouble. Sabotage. Jordan wants to help, but both her brother Ethan and Sheriff Jake tell her to leave it alone. Jordan and Jake are undeniably attracted to each other, but… Jordan’s ex taught her not to trust men. Jake’s ex taught him not to trust women. Jordan is determined to think the worst of Jake. Jake is determined to think the worst of Jordan. She must’ve known what her ex was up to, he reasons. He doesn’t want her interference in his investigation.
Dual POV Jordan and Jake.
I had expected more romance, less suspense. But I really liked it. Jordan was a bit of an enigma, with her being shy and unsure one moment, defiant and argumentative the next, but that only made her all the more real. No woman is one-sided after all. I grew to love both Jordan and Jake. <3
This is the third book in the Sweet Mountain Billionaires series.
Ethan Thomas is a billionaire who is living at Pinecrest Lodge in Greendale, Sweet Mountain territory. He does not want anyone to know he is a billionaire. His sister, Jordan Thomas is at Pine Crest trying to repair the relationship between her brother and herself. The relationship was severly damaged by Jordan’s previous boyfriend, Chris, who had been telling Jordan tales of woe and asking for money for Jordan. When Jordan found out she kicked Chris to the curb. Jordan is a Private Investigator and a Photographer. When she finds out that Carter Pittman has been causing damage to Ruby Burrows’ cabins. Ruby and her husband, Geoffrey, created Pine Crest Lodge 51 years ago. After Geoffrey passed away, Ruby has attempted to do everything to maintain the cabins.
Sheriff Jake Lincoln and his deputy, Brady Denton, have been trying to find something to put Carter in jail. Their previous raid only landed Carter’s son in prison.
Jake is still recovering from a nasty divorce and at Jordan’s first introduction to him, he thinks she is everything she is not.
When Jordan finds an aerial printout of Carter’s property, she takes it to Jake too show him what she thinks might be something on Carter’s land. Because of the bond between Jake and Ethan he doesn’t want anything to happen to Jordan so he decides to go with her to have a look.
This is a little bit mystery and a little bit romance. A must read for those cozy mystery readers.
I received an ARC. This is my voluntary review of this book.
