My next-door neighbor is my fierce protector, my strong defender.
The man who promised to look after me.
He is off-limits. He is almost twice my age.
And he’s the only man I’ve ever wanted.
The man who lives next door is a down and dirty tatted-up mechanic with the grease-stained jeans and the tattered shirts to prove it.
Everyone say he’s too old for me. Everyone thinks he’s off-limits.
And … off-limits.
And they’re right.
He’s my rock. My support. A perfect gentleman.
He won’t look at me as the woman I’ve grown up to become, but I know he is the only man for me.
And when my desires become known, he gives me a stern, strict warning that’s crystal clear.
He says he would never cross that line with me…
And if he did, there would be no going back…
To that I say – once we cross that line, I want to stay there.
No matter how wrong it is…
Mechanic Next Door is a high-heat, possessive alpha and younger woman romance. Each book in The Older Man Next Door Series is a complete stand-alone and the books can be read in any order. No cheating, HEA guaranteed.

That was a pretty awesome read. I couldn’t put the book down. Its the story of Peach and Thomas. You see at 18 Peach lost her parents at the same time and went and lived with her grandfather. Within a year of loosing her parents she lost her grandfather as well. Thomas was the mechanic next door that promised her grandfather that he would take care of Peach. Things start getting hot and heavy between the 2 one morning. The rest you need to read for yourself.

Hottt!
I liked this story of the classic both parties are attracted to each other but one thinks it’s inappropriate and the other is just trying to let their feelings be known. The characters were interesting and relatable.
Peach is in love with her neighbor who is a mechanic and an older man. He’s been there for her the past few years and even promised her grandfather that he would look out for her. Peach has only ever been attracted to Thomas and has tried to let him know without actually saying it repeatedly. She wants him to look at her like a woman but he’s a gentleman. When she lets Thomas know about her desires he tells her they can’t be together because if they were, he’d want to keep her forever it wouldn’t be a one-time thing. Peach is completely ok with that.
The way Peach tried to get Thomas’s attention was funny. I felt like if she just pushed a little more, she would have been able to let him know how she felt sooner. Thomas trying to resist his feelings for her was gallant, but also kind of silly because he didn’t want her to be with someone else either. I was glad when they seemed to get over themselves and admit how they felt. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Peach cobbler and beer down by the river at night
Mechanic Next Door is the first book in The Older Man Next Door series by Lauren Milson. This is the story of Peach and Thomas. Peach is twenty-one years old and when she was eighteen both of her parents were killed in a car accident so she moved in with her grandfather. They got to know each other and it was a good relationship. Unfortunately the next year he died leaving her all alone. Well that is except for Thomas, the older next door neighbor. She inherited the old Victorian house that she continues to live in, not wanting to sell, and work on fixing up.
Thomas is thirty-six years old and owns an automotive repair garage. He helped Peach the first year she after her parents died by befriending her. When her grandfather died he made a promise to watch over her and take care of her, which he takes very seriously. Everyone in town, including the younger men who work for him at his garage, all know that she is off limits in regards to romantic relationships or to try anything with.
The last year things have changed in the way Peach and Thomas think of each other but they do not tell the other about it. However, Peach does tease Thomas to no end by wearing too short cut-offs and shorts and tight tops. But no matter what she wears or says he is determined not to act on his attraction because he knows that once he has a taste of Peach he will not stop, and he has some dirty fantasies about what he would do with her. But their simmering attraction is about to explode into a whole lot more and Thomas will finally lay claim to her once and for all…………forever.
This is an interesting story which is well written with very lovable characters. At the start I felt like I had jumped into the middle of a story but once I got a couple chapters in I was into the flow of the story. For the majority of the story there is a lot of fantasy, teasing, longing and looking without touching. But once Thomas and Peach do come together it is Sizzling Hot and a lot of fun.
When Peach’s parents died in a car accident she went to live with her grandfather. Thomas was her grandfather’s neighbor and friend when she saw him she immediately had a crush on him. After her grandfather passed Thomas stepped in to help her. Peach hasn’t wanted anyone but Thomas but he doesn’t act like he wants anything to do with her. When the guys at the shop tell him that she goes out with them in case he comes Thomas know he can’t hold back much longer. Will Peach finally get her happy ending with Thomas?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
