Perfect for fans of Bella Andre, Susan Mallery, and Mary Kay Andrews, ‘Meant to Be’ is a gorgeously romantic feel-good beach read about a runaway bride searching for true love on Cape Cod…Poppy Somerville believes in happily-ever-after. It’s the reason her romance novels have won devoted readers all over the world – and why she’s broken off her engagement just weeks before the wedding instead … the wedding instead of settling for less than true love. Escaping to her aunt’s beach cottage in Sweetbriar Cove, Poppy is looking for inspiration to end her writer’s block and finish her new book. She just wasn’t counting on the handsome, gruff contractor making such a racket next door…
Cooper Nicholson doesn’t believe in soul-mates. He thought he’d found his forever once, and the world proved him wrong, so when the cute brunette comes storming over and demands he keep the noise down, romance is the last thing on his mind. But his new neighbor is full of surprises, and soon, their chemistry is too hot to ignore.
As they grow closer, they discover fiction has nothing on the plot twists life has in store. But will Cooper find a way to let go of the past and risk his heart again? And can Poppy find her happy ending – on and off the page?

A new twist on romance novels, especially because the main character was an author of romantic stories. 85% of romance novels end in happily-ever-after, but the premise of the story is what keeps me interested. This book certainly did hold my interest to the very end.
Favorite Quotes:
Quinn was a force of nature who let nothing stand in her way. It made her a great agent, but her love life was more like a crime scene: full of bad accidents and tape reading ‘do not pass.’
God, don’t ma’am me. I’ve got another ten years of ‘miss,’ I swear.
There are seven stages to grief. First, sweatpants.
It reminds me of the time my second husband was cheating… I took everything he owned and hurled it out the second-floor window… When he came back from that hussy’s place, it was all right there on the sidewalk in ruins.
My Review:
I was thoroughly entertained with Meant To Be, Poppy and Cooper’s sweet and sexy tale. I was delighted when I noticed the #1 in the title, and am already looking forward to numerous repeat trips to Sweetbriar Cove to witness the pairing off of a town full of “scruffy and gorgeous” men. Written from a third person POV, the storyline was relevant and relatable while stocked with appealing and interesting characters. Ms. Grace’s writing style was relaxing and easy to follow, yet also emotive, heart squeezing, and engaging. I was quickly drawn in by the well-detailed storytelling and enjoyed these sweet and clever characters, although there was a period when I wanted to give Cooper a few swift kicks to his back pockets. My favorite character was the lovely Aunt June, and of course, it has nothing to do with the fact that she could be my clone. I am hoping Ms. Grace will bestow Aunt June with her own book or at least feature the witty and clever cougar prominently in all future installments.
Loved the characters. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
This was perfect for what I read it for – to help me relax before bed. Not too much drama, just enough sweetness – I’m sure I will pick up the rest of the series periodically when I need an escape.
Great storyline!!
First book in a new series and the first book I have read by this author. What a great start to a new series in this book we get to meet all the residents of the small harbour town of Sweetbriar Cove but the story is mainly centred around Poppy Somerville and Cooper Nicholson.
Poppy is a romance writer and she is suffering badly from writers block so she escapes to her aunts beach cottage in Sweetbriar Cove, all she wants to do is write not get involved with anyone after all it wasn’t that long ago she broke her engagement off…..
Cooper is working on the cottage next door and Poppy’s first meeting with him is to yell at him to keep the noise down. Cooper is not into relationships he doesn’t believe in soul-mates or HEA but will that change now he has met the cute brunette living next door……
A sweet book that’s a great start to a new series. Looking forward to reading more from Melody Grace
I loved this book. I am going to read more books by this writer!
Relaxing before I go to sleep. About 1/3 of the way through. So far a fun read. I wish I had more time to spend reading it.
LOVED THIS BOOK! HAD ME FROM START TO FINISH. CANT WAIT TO READ MORE FROM MELODY GRACE!
Waiting for the next one
True Love
What is a romance writer, Poppy to do when she breaks her engagement before the wedding. She goes and stays at her aunts place in the Cape to write. Cooper is working on the house next door & doesn’t believe in true love. He knows her from when they were kids.
very enjoyable read
Okay so I was hooked on Cooper and Poppy’s story everything seemed so right and then it goes so wrong. Thank goodness for happy endings and enjoy this page turner!
A sweet romance between Poppy, the romance writer who believes in happy ever afters, and Connor, the grumpy construction guy who doesn’t believe in love. These two have some fun run ins before they discover that they fit really well together. Throw in a few exes to make life interesting and you have a recipe for miscommunication and heartbreak. Good thing they eventually figure out they are meant to be together.
Loved the story. Too much explicit sex.

A wonderful book with great characters. Read it and enjoy.
Cute.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were real people. The story was engaging. It made me smile and cry. I was sad when it was finished.
