Perfect for fans of Bella Andre, Susan Mallery, and Mary Kay Andrews, ‘Meant to Be’ is a gorgeously romantic feel-good beach read about a runaway bride searching for true love on Cape Cod…Poppy Somerville believes in happily-ever-after. It’s the reason her romance novels have won devoted readers all over the world – and why she’s broken off her engagement just weeks before the wedding instead … the wedding instead of settling for less than true love. Escaping to her aunt’s beach cottage in Sweetbriar Cove, Poppy is looking for inspiration to end her writer’s block and finish her new book. She just wasn’t counting on the handsome, gruff contractor making such a racket next door…
Cooper Nicholson doesn’t believe in soul-mates. He thought he’d found his forever once, and the world proved him wrong, so when the cute brunette comes storming over and demands he keep the noise down, romance is the last thing on his mind. But his new neighbor is full of surprises, and soon, their chemistry is too hot to ignore.
As they grow closer, they discover fiction has nothing on the plot twists life has in store. But will Cooper find a way to let go of the past and risk his heart again? And can Poppy find her happy ending – on and off the page?

I enjoyed this book
I really loved the characters and the storylines. Poppy a romance writer leaves New York City for the Cape after ending her engagement two weeks before the wedding. She wants to hide out at her aunts cottage and finish her book. Only the house next door is being redone from the bottom up and the noise sales her up after traveling all night to get there. Cooper the guy restoring the house is the boy who tortured her one summer when she stayed with her aunt as a young girl. They get off to rough start when they meet at the construction site. I am giving an honest review of an advanced copy of the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes small town romances.
Good easy reading
Poppy’s heartache is short-lived when she surprisingly gets close to Cooper, who, as a boy, loved tormenting her. Cooper being scared to try to make a go of a relationship was not very believable to me and was the least favorite part of the story, giving me a heavy heart. I prefer less self-doubt. Other than that, Melody Grace did a fine job with the characters, story, and emotions. I enjoyed the setting and plot.
Entertaining enough. They get their happy ending. I think he got off too easy. But still an ok book.
Entertaining story about two people – one who believes in happily ever after, the other does not. There is a happy for now ending. Strong characters propel the story. Heavy on sex but no foul language. Worth reading.
Quick, cute, uncomplicated, low drama, sort of childhood friends…all these things describe this book. The town of Sweetbriar Cove is a typical small town where everyone knows your name and your business. It’s filled with interesting and quirky characters. Cooper and Poppy both have baggage they’re dealing with. Poppy handles hers better than Cooper handles his. There are sweet moments and funny moments mixed together. All in all, this is an entertaining story if you’re looking for something light.
This book captured me right away and held my interest and then some the whole way. Loved this first book in the series and looking forward to getting the next book in line.
Loved the characters and storyline. Felt the ending was a little rushed.
I loved this book. Can’t wait to get more like it!
What a sweet book. I enjoyed the characters and the setting – it might help I vacation on Cape Cod and could picture the setting very well. Well written. I look forward to more Sweetbriar Cove .
Loved this book, however, don’t see the need to describe in detail the love making.
This book kept my attention. I loved the setting. I didn’t care that much for Cooper though. Found it hard to like him. He was kind of a jerk!
I not only enjoyed this one, but once you start, you can’t stop until you finished as many as in print. I swore I wouldn’t buy another one, but can’t help myself.
a nice beach read.
I have read the first 3 books, loved them all. 11 books in all to save many have to pace myself.
Loved this book. Couldn’t put down.
The distance/timeline in this book is way off. She’s from Brooklyn, going to cape cod. Its a 30 minute flight/ 4 hr drive between airport, but there are references to red eye flights, 1000 miles and thousands of miles. Its the wrong geography and it distracts from the story.
Loved it reading book 2 now
I liked the story, but felt it was stretched out too long.
