It’s a bit ironic that I found this book tragic AND funny. Very few books have made me laugh out loud and cry, this one is a must read.
Not an easy read in the end. But unforgettable characters and story. Loved the follow up books! Of course, better than the movie, but loved that too!
A tender, funny, authentic relational journey
I read this book twice and found the story to be unusual. I cared about and rooted for the characters to have happy endings but that wasn’t to be.
Loved this story. I’d like to read the sequel.
This was an emotional roller -coaster!! A great human interest story! It puts the reader in tune with the difficult decision of “choice”!! A wonderful human interest story!
I saw the movie first and was…meh. I didn’t expect to get swept up into the book and the characters. But I was. I loved Jojo Moyes’s writing, and I look forward to reading more by her!
Easy, entertaining read. Sad story but enjoyed it.
Very interesting plot. Kept me reading.
It’s a long and winding road, you begin to see each side as it goes along, feel their pain, squirm when they do, laugh when they do, or don’t try. Not every story can have a happy ending, although in the end their relationship led to a better life for both of them.
I am a fan of Ms. Moyes books and have enjoyed each one, this was a harder subject to love and yet she wove it around my heart and I was there, laughing or crying, that is her style.
Great love story
wonderful book
One of the best books I’ve read.
Encouraging story with a strange, non-conforming woman trying to inspire a man who sustained a severely disabling injury to enjoy life again. Ended differently than I expected. Second book was also good.
Will never forget this story.
A wonderful romance but very unusual?A must read really!
I love Jo Jo Moyes characters they are so real. I laugh and cry when I read her books.
Couldn’t put it down
I enjoyed the premise of this book and the characters were realistic. Thought provoking in the subject matter and makes me think future legislation should happen on this subject.
This was such a good book that I have no words. The story was real and sweet and emotional and very English. I loved that the movie did the book justice because they usually do not. The actors chosen for these characters were perfect but for the whole story and the full effect of the lives of these characters, you will have to read the book.
