Loved the movie and loved treading the book.
As usual Moyes does not disappoint. Loved it.
One of the best books!
You cannot allow one to read your book for free?
This book has stayed with me even though I read it years ago. I loved the characters and the plot! Louisa Clark is a most lovable character! The movie was also good but you really need to read the book! I also loved the sequel, Me After You. I am currently reading the next book in the series, Still Me. I think I will be looking for everything written by Jojo Moyes!
This is not at all the type of book I normally read so I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it so much I haven’t read any of the follow-up books because I just can’t imagine they’ll be as good. Highly recommend it.
I love this author’s writing style
Oh, my goodness. This story haunted me, broke my heart. Beautiful. Powerful.
Really great book.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes is the most beautiful contemporary novel about love and life. It made me laugh out loud and it made me cry. It is a book that will stay with me forever.
Love when it strikes, strikes hard. It consumes. It goes down deep and it is beautiful. With love comes choices, choices as to how we act, feel and live. We have to decide whether to hang on tight or whether we love enough to let go. However we love we need to do it well.
The novel is about two lives that seem poles apart – privilege versus poverty, health versus ill health, existing versus truly living. In Me Before You the reader sees a character bud, blossom and bloom as they learn how to really live life. A closed existence becomes a much more open one. We have one life and we need to live it.
Trauma changes lives – sometimes mentally, sometimes physically. The trauma of the past becomes the prison of the future. We need others to walk beside us to help us deal with our traumas.
Me Before You was such a beautiful novel. I never wanted it to end and yet I read on because I wanted to see what happened. I have been left with the feeling of serenity, having witnessed a great love, a great love that was oh so beautiful.
Jojo Moyes is a new author to me. I am so pleased to see there are two more books in this series (and I have them both out of the library and sitting on my desk) and to see that she has written many more. I want to read everything that Jojo Moyes has written. She has just been added to my (ever growing) list of favourite authors.
Love the quirky Lou and the realities of family. Laughed, cried and couldn’t wait to read the next.
Great book but Beware alot of language.
Predicable
I could not put this book down
This book clearly doesn’t need my review or endorsement with so many already. But I have feelings I need to get out. I don’t know if I loved or hated it, a little of both probably. So incredibly beautifully written, I so so slowly fell in love with Will, I honestly didn’t even realize it had happened. My heart ached for him, I wanted to scoop him up and fix everything. I was equally, maybe even more broken for Lou. I wished I could shout my suggestions to her, help her out a little. I can honestly see both sides of the argument, and hopefully, I will never never have to make that decision. I’m trying to gather the strength to read the second and possibly the third depending on how much more the second breaks me. If you want a happy fun book with an hea, this is NOT the book for you. I was not prepared for the devastation, I cried a good 40%, and I don’t mean a few tears. Despite the incredible tragedy, this book at its core is about true love and the lengths we go for the people we love.
One of my favourite books of all time!
My best descriptive words would be thought provoking. A sad story, but a good story that is well written.
Oh what a book!!! I enjoyed each word. Have read all the books in this series. Looking forward to reading more books by Ms. Moyes.
Moyes creates wonderful characters in deep and soul searching situations that make you think about your own beliefs and positions. I laughed. I cried. I couldn’t put it down.
Loved this book!!
