Me Before You was a really quick, light-hearted slightly cheesy but sweet love story. You can pretty much predict exactly what’s going to happen as soon as you pick up the book, but that didn’t really stop me from loving it. This book brings up important issues like the quality of life and it’s interesting to see how the characters react to Will’s accident. I thought a lot about how Will’s relationships changed with his family and friends. It makes you think about what’s important in life and whether or not “death with dignity” is ethical. Is Will just giving up? Is what he wants rational? I always love a good book that makes me sympathize and feel for the characters. Lou and Will didn’t feel forced…their relationship was understandable and beautiful and I really enjoyed reading their story.
The ordinary heroine is refreshing in her averageness. We can all relate. We feel her emotions, identify with her reactions as she strives to deal with the diminished man she is caring for—and in doing so, moves from frustration to love.
The in-depth look into his psyche is disturbingly fascinating too and will help us to understand a fraction of his situation. Difficult to put down.
WOW, great book, and a learned a lot about quads that I ever thought possible.
As everyone else said; this was an excellent book.
One of the best books I have ever read.
This is THE ONE you will never forget !!!!
A great story with great characters.
Not a happy ever after story.
A realistic story, as this happens in the U.K.
Beautiful, timeless and very well written. I’m still reflecting on it. I would highly recommend this book!
I loved it!
I loved this book in every way, didn’t want it to end! I’m reading the 2nd one now…
Loved the book with the main character being quirky and alive. Ending certainly not expected.
I loved this book. It was a wonderful, heartbreaking love story.
Some books make you stop and think, compel you to examine your own take on life or your position or stand on an issue. Jojo Moyes’s Me Before You will surprise you—it is impossible not to put yourself in the characters’ shoes and you will find yourself thinking about the choices you might make if life changed in an instant. I loved it.
I am very careful with my provision of five-star ratings. The story and the characters need to move me in some profound and meaningful way to merit the highest appraisal. This book certainly fits that bill. At the core, this is a love story and a beautiful one at that. Full of twists and turns, ups and downs, along an emotional roller coaster that tugs at your heart in every way possible, you are carried through moments of joy, anger, anguish, sorrow, compassion, and true empathy. The way Ms. Moyes is able to capture pure emotion through her prose is both powerful and intoxicating.
Beneath the love story, however, lies a much deeper and subtle message about living your life on your own terms with conviction and purpose. Sometimes it is in the unexpected occurrences of our life that we finally learn to do exactly this. Another book on my very short list that I will be reading again very soon, it could not be more highly recommended.
I loved it.
Definitely chick lit. A tear jerker
Love the main character. Very poignant.
I read this as an audio book. It was a wonderful read but an emotional rollercoaster towards the end. Loved it.

“You only get one life. It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible.”
Review:
I knew this book would be emotional. I bawled my eyes out watching the movie. So I was prepared for that. What I wasn’t prepared for that even though I knew where this would go that it would still smack me in the face as hard as it did.
This is a very emotional, real, raw, stunning read. It really puts certain things into perspective.
For the people wondering if they should read this book after seeing the movie, my answer would be yes. The movie stayed very close to the book. The book just had more detail and more a few more events that weren’t in the movie. If you loved the movie and would like to see a bit more about the characters then I suggest you read this book.
What is this book about:
This book is about Louisa Clark. She has lived in the same town her entire live. She hasn’t been anywhere besides her little town and she likes it like that. Or so she things.
She lives with her parents, sister and her kid and her grandfather. They don’t have the most money in the world. Her family relies on Lou’s and her fathers income. After Lou loses her job she has to find some place else to work.
She ends up getting a job for the wealthy Will Treynor. After an accident a few years ago he is left unable to move anything below his chest. He’s a quadriplegic. She is to work for him for 6 months and basically be his companion during the day. Making sure he has the help he needs.
As they grow closer and closer Lou learns that there was a reason her contract was limited to six months….
What did I like about this book:
I liked the banter between Will and Lou. They are both very funny. Will is so sarcastic and I like that. It really made me laugh.
What I liked about this book is that it makes you question your own morals. It will make you think about what you would do when put in a situation like that, either will’s situation, Lou’s or Will’s parents.
It was hard because I supported his decision, i understood why he choose what he did. It still hurt because I grew attached.
I am glad that I finally read this book. I wouldn’t have picked it if I didn’t pick it blindly from my to read jar. I’m glad that I did because it made me read something I wouldn’t pick up as quickly compared to other books. And it helped me cross of a book that has been on my TBR for a while

5 Amazing Stars
I read this awhile ago, and so I’m not sure that I can remember all the details. An interesting book which points out how much it means to someone to forget themselves in favor of another person.
