Mayhem. I bring it. I own that shit. Then I walk away and leave you to clean up the mess. That’s the way I’ve always lived. For me, there is no other way. This is who I am. With all of this world comes death. I’ve experienced it first hand and it ruined me. The Taylor was thrust into my world. She was everything I should have stayed away from. Too bad I don’t follow directions. Taylor: Rich snob. … directions.
Taylor: Rich snob. That’s what everyone thought I was. They didn’t know me. Not the real me. My dad may have thrown me away but I still held onto the idea of family. I wanted to prove myself but when my dad’s threats are directed at me, I’m tossed into the arms of a long dirty blond-haired rebel. I wasn’t supposed to fall for someone like him. So, I fought my attraction. Let’s see how well I do at that.

Mayhem and Taylor seems like oil and water, but are really gas and a match. They are so good for each other but take the long way to find it.
My heart went out to these wounded souls. Tays father was an ass and had hidden agendas she knew nothing about and Mayhem is messed up in the head with the death of Becca, although it wasn’t his fault and choice she made. So they get messed up in each others agenda and try to find their way to each other. I like Tays charactor, she was a pistol and didn’t take anything from anyone. Including Mayhem. There was one place that was funny when he was with one of the club girls and he called her Crayola Face, I cracked up. There is danger, heartbreak, steamy sex. Great book Erin.
I can definitely say that I need more Mayhem! At first i didn’t really like Taylor. I thought she was immature and a bit of a cry baby. Meeting Mayhem was the thing she needed to grow up.
Mayhem is all alpha male and it’s hot!
This is a fast pace book that kept me interested from the very beginning. Love it!!
I can’t wait to read Tic’s story!
I loved this story, Mayhem is one kick a$$ biker who doesn’t bow down to anyone, his only problem is the loss he suffered and still has yet to get over and forgive himself. Then he gets to protection job of protecting the mayor’s daughter Taylor and they are like oil and water. Taylor has been hurt by her father emotionally most of her life and was blamed for something she couldn’t control. Now she is back in town and trying to find her way but it seems every direction there is a roadblock and the biggest one’s name is Mayhem. So when she truly starts to see the real man behind the mask he puts on for others she finds that there is more to this biker than meets the eye. I loved Taylor and Mayhem they both had issues from their pasts that they are struggling to overcome. This is one series that I am just loving so much. I have fallen in love with these characters so much that their pain feels like mine. Amazing story and I can’t wait for more.
This was another great book by Erin Trejo. I do enjoy her books.
Mayham and Taylor were great! I love when they have to work at liking each other. What starts as a job for Mayhem becomes so much more. Can he trust his heart to anyone? Can Taylor break free from her father that never wanted her around?
Book Two of the Soulless Bastards MC.
First, we had Declan; let me just remind you #gunsex.
Then we have Mayhem; refusing to admit that loving Taylor was saving him, not killing his spirit further. An alpha male to the extreme; arrogant, then kind; prickly then soft.
Taylor; reminds Mayhem of the woman he lost 4 years ago, at every turn. Can she show him how to love again, and that it is worth the risk to try?
The emotional rollercoaster that Erin takes us on is on hell of a ride. I could not put this book down.
Screaming at my kindle to make things come out the way I wanted; when truly, Erin, once again, did exactly what was needed in a book.
If you want a page turner, this is the series for you; but, be sure you have time to read each of the books in this series in one sitting. You will not want to put them down.
Once again Erin has written a 10-star book; her characters are well thought out and not only original, but believable.
Having read numerous Erin Trejo books, she has given us another well written fast paced MC storyline with lots of Hot Alpha males. But true to her style, she lets us see that these tough guys have a softer side, granted it’s often hidden from the world, but not to their brothers and especially not the women in their lives. These tough guys also have real-life problems that Ms. Trejo portrays in a unique and compassionate fashion. Personally I think that’s why her storylines seem to come to life to the point you feel like you are riding right along with them.
Mayhem is the clubs enforcer. He is a hard man that been through a lot in his life. He blames himself for a lot of things that honestly were out of his control. But his past seems to fuel the fire that burns within him, which on some days is a good thing and others not so much. When the Mayor starts getting threats, due to his personal shady deals, he wants the club to guard his daughter, Taylor. But when his father Blu, the club’s prez, puts Hayhem on the guard detail, his life gets turned inside out. Watching how this one tiny blonde, blue eyed, sexy woman, who has a sassy mouth and just wants to be noticed for once in her life, brings this alpha hardcore biker to his knees makes for one heck of a read.
This is an amazing storyline and an awesome addition to the Soulless Bastards MC series. I highly recommend both Declan (book #1) and Mayhem. If you like strong alpha males, sassy strong females, suspense, action and romance, You’ll LOVE this series. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars for a must read book/series.
I was looking forward to Mayhem’s story. He is dark and twisted, mixed with sexy arrogance and cockiness. I was hooked from when I first started this book and devoured it in one evening (thank you world cup football games)
When I first met Mayhem I thought he would need a strong sassy woman to knock him to his knees but I was wrong. Taylor is sweet, sexy and has this naive innocence about her thanks to her father sending her away for most of her life. Shes the soft to his hard, the light to his dark and they are so perfect together. I was happy to be wrong.
I’m not going to lie I do think Taylor let Mayhem get away with too much, especially when he went away to sort himself out and she was sent to bring him back. She should have had more fire in her with what she found when she arrived.
These two made me laugh, cry and I will admit more then a few choice words were sent my kindles way but luckily they were covered up with my husband shouting at the tv during a football match lol.
I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series and seeing the other tough alpha males fall to their knees.
Mayhem feels broken, blaming himself for his wife’s death and that everyone leaves. Taylor is tired of her father controlling her, living a sheltered life and wants to stop getting blamed for everything that has gone wrong in his life and just wants someone to want her.
Mayhem hates Tayler when he first sees her and even tries to get taken off the job, they try to deny it but they both know there’s an attraction there, Mayhem knows he’s not good enough for Taylor but she’s persistent, and he hasn’t felt about a woman this way since his wife died.
Mayhem can’t fight it anymore but doesn’t want Taylor to regret it, he’s never been so gentle in his life with a woman, until Taylor tells him he doesn’t have to. What he doesn’t expect after is that Taylor feels right.
Taylor learns that just has she has her own issues so does Mayhem, and she only reminds him of what he lost.
Mayhem knows he needs to work things out and he can’t do that with Taylor around him. Taylor realises when her dad wants to send her away again that she’s never been wanted. Mayhem lets Taylor know that he has to get away to find himself again just as Taylor cuts ties with her dad, but he doesn’t think she can handle the life he lives.
Will Mayhem be able to let go off the guilt he feels over he’s wife’s death, the fear of losing someone again, to give him and Taylor a chance, will Taylor walk away before he does.
I’ve rated Mayhem as a 4 Star but as I struggled in relating to him realistically if I could have I would of rated 3.5 stars. Erin has delivered a top notch story yet again, it’s rare to happen but I just couldn’t relate to either of the main characters, that is purely on me as a reader. If you love MC, action, danger, passion, twists and turns and love then Mayhem is for you. The second in her new MC series I look forward to the next in the series.
Great addition to the series. Mayhem has been spiraling for years now due to his love’s death. He has been blaming himself. His dad Blu who also is the President of the MC assigns him to watch over the mayor’s daughter. The first time they meet it goes to hell. Mayhem thinks she is a stuck up, prissy rich girl that has everything handed to her. That couldn’t be further from the truth but it is all about perception.
Taylor has had a hard time of it. Her mother dies when she is seven and her father blames her and then ships her off to Rome. To say she is stunned when he sends for her when she is almost graduating college is an understatement.
Mayhem and Taylor clash from the beginning. They don’t understand each other or the past traumas they have both endured. He isn’t looking for another woman but Taylor is sneaking her way under his skin. Will they be able to heal each other?
So I thought Declan- book One in the Soulless Bastards No Cal series was HOT!!! Apparently I was wrong! There is just something about Mayhem that grabs at your heart while your brain is screaming “oh hell NO” You can’t help but fall for a broken man, a man who takes rather than give. Well that is until he meets his match Taylor! Damn that girl doesn’t know when to give up! So much sass and attitude- it may just be what the doctor ordered for Mayhem. I loved this book and truly couldn’t put it down!
Mayhem is a great name for the main character in Book 2 of Soulless Bastards NoCal. The definition of mayhem is: violent or damaging disorder; chaos. Mayhem definitely lives up to his name. He is not a nice guy. His line of work has no room for that. He has no room in his life for love. Taylor is the mayor’s daughter. Her dad is up to some shady dealings and Mayhem has been put in charge of being her live-in bodyguard. On the outside, she appears to be a spoiled/privileged rich kid but Taylor’s life has been anything but ideal. Mayhem and Taylor appear to be like water and vinegar but they don’t realize that they have more in common than they realize.
It was gritty, angsty, a lot of action, heartbreak, steamy scenes, and danger. I have read MC books from Erin Trejo before and absolutely loved them! However, this one felt like it was missing something. It was a good, entertaining, quick read but not on the same level as some of her other work.
After losing the woman he loved Mayhem has had to deal with the pain and anguish, even though he’s the indestructible Enforcer for the Soulless Bastards .
Taylor has had a hard life after her mom died , to her father she’s invisible . That is until he needs to use her for his business dealings.
When these two meet there is an explosion of emotions . Two broken souls colliding amidst a battlefield.
It’s Raw and full of Angst.
He’s apprehensive and pushes her away and she’s not taking no for an answer .
There is some mighty HOT, panty dropping chemistry between Mayhem & Taylor that Mrs. Trejo etched into these pages .
But for me the action , bloodshed and twisted storyline that keeps you flipping the pages until there are no more keeps me craving the next book in this series .
Title: Mayhem
Author: Erin Trejo
Publication Date: July 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance/MC/New
This is book two in author Erin Trejo’s newest MC Romance series. A lot of people, myself included, tend to say the leading man is the Hero and the leading lady the heroine. In these books by Trejo the MC guys are more your anti-hero. And Mayhem covered in blood almost daily is not a “hero”. Yet, he is a hero to his lady love Taylor. His assignment: bodyguard; and boy does he guard her body. Sorry to say, every girls worst nightmare might be true…who are you thinking of when you are with me?
Survivors guilt has taken hold of our antihero. He has it bad and it darkens his soul. Taylor. his new love, refuses to be pushed away but as she says, she isn’t “her”. I have to say there is one scene where our man is caught with his pants down. Were they really on a break? A Ross and Rachel moment.
Anyway, it true Trejo fashion this book is filled with angst, anger, passion and fire. In a few softer moments you even feel the sweetness and love not just the lust. I admire Taylor and her perseverance, compassion, and loyalty but I still wanted to smack her a time or two. And Mayhem. I always ask the same question: why can’t you see what is in front of you? Guess those darker emotions keep you blind.
Well written, good characters, enough angst grit and passion to keep you turning the page. Looking forward to book three.
OK I have to put this out there first then I will get into my review. First off I really am not into MC books but for some reason I read one from this author and became stuck. I mean really stuck. What makes her’s any different you may ask, I have to honestly answer I have no freaking clue. Her guys are rough and rowdy, cursing and screw anything with 2 legs and a hole so what is there to like. If you like men that are broken and hiding their hearts behind the rough tough biker image. Or men that will protect as fiercely as they love. Or how about the women that love them. They are fierce and strong. Even if they come to the club in pieces they always seem able to dig deep and find their strength.
With Taylor and Mayhem we get all of it. These two broken by their past. Caste aside like garbage by those that were supposed to love and protect them. This author makes us feel every punch as they come to terms with their own personal stuff and find each other. It helps that their biker family and yeah they are truly a family, they are there to support, to love, to cry, to protect. I bawl like a baby and come unglued when I read about them. Somehow some way each read becomes personal. Their pain becomes mine and I crumble and share it, can’t help it. These are great reads, go find out for yourself.
