Meredith has rules. As a “professional cuddler” at Human Touch Companions, it’s a necessity. Her number one rule: Don’t get attached to clients and don’t let them get attached to her. She’s never had a problem with that until she meets Kieran. The adorable Irishman hires Meredith for emotional support in facing his estranged family, but he’s the one who ends up comforting her as she tries to come … tries to come to terms with her beloved mother’s slide into the heartbreaking abyss of Alzheimer’s. It’s only when Meredith sees how much she’s leaning on Kieran that she realizes she’s blurred the lines between professional and personal, but even worse? She’s broken her number one rule. She’s gotten attached to a client.
Meredith knows the best solution is to resume a strictly professional relationship. But Kieran makes her feel something she never thought she’d feel again. Surely that’s worth breaking her own rules for?

This is a very emotional story which is well written and has a great storyline. Meredith is a “professional cuddler” at Human Touch Companions and Irishman Kieran hires her to get through some family things he is going through. I enjoyed seeing how these two where there to help heal each other. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Easily my favourite read of 2019 so far! I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a book this much… Actually, I can, because it was Marie Landry’s last book, Only You! Since the moment I finished that wonderful read, I have been waiting for the release of Maybe You, and it was well worth the wait!
I loved this book so much that I don’t think I can write a coherent review. I knew I would love it from the moment I read the blurb – from a hot, sexy Irishman to the unique concept of Human Touch Companions. I couldn’t wait to read it.
I loved the idea of HTC, and of course, the gorgeously sexy Irishman, but mainly I loved Meredith, the main character. Meredith is struggling with unrecognised depression and coping with her mum’s decline into Alzheimer’s disease, which is something I related to so much, and something you rarely see mentioned in contemporary fiction, and it’s dealt with sensitively and admirably. The family issues that Kieran’s going through are also handled brilliantly, another thing you don’t see men struggling with in books very often, so kudos to Marie for breaking more boundaries.
You don’t need to have read Only You to read this book – it’s a standalone that gives us a chance to catch up with characters from the previous book, and I loved it even more for that. Hugh is still one of the most gorgeous fictional men ever written!
I loved the romance, and the deeper issues explored with so much sensitivity and grace and just the right touch of humour too, and really enjoyed spending time with Meredith and Kieran, and looked forward to picking up my Kindle every night. It made me laugh and cry. (And I do mean CRY. Full-on sobbing at 3am because I couldn’t put it down!) Highly recommended – never mind five stars, it deserves at least fifty stars! It’s only July but I can’t imagine another book beating this for my favourite read of 2019!
She is a human cuddler for those who needs a hug and someone they can confine in. She never blurred the lines between patient and professional before but she is finding that with him. She is getting closer and closer to him but she knows she needs to take a step back from it. Will she be able to step away? Will it be good for them to have some space? What if she does not want to be away from him? See just where it will all go

The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page! Really enjoyed the charters I got to know on this journey.

This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Marie Landry; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This book is sickly sweet… In a good way! It’s very romantic with little steam. The slow burn is nice but it does drag occasionally. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

This sweet story was very well written and the characters were very likable, believable and engaging! As I turned each and every page I felt like Meredith and Kieran pulled me right into their story as their relationship unfolded!
Meredith is a professional cuddler – she doesn’t get involved with her clients lives beyond the cuddling experience. Enter Kieran, as Irish as they come, and just so darn cute. He hires Meredith to help him when his family comes to visit. They develop an attraction, but she needs to keep it professional, and won’t get involved. A few months later, they run into each other socially, and figure it’s okay to begin a relationship. This is a very poignant story – Meredith is dealing with the loss of her mother (who’s alive but has late stage Alzheimer’s and doesn’t want Meredith to visit her) and doesn’t realize that she’s battling depression as a result. I loved this story – seeing Meredith and Kieran’s relationship grow, and how much they help each other with their issues. This is y first read from this author – certainly not the last.
