I loved the idea of this story…slow burn, office type romance. Two flawed people looking for something just not sure what.
For me, the texting and emailing was too much. I think it is just not my cup of tea. That being said I enjoyed everything else about this book.
A swoon-worthy story between a virtual assistant and her CEO. There’s much more to this story than meets the eye. The format of this story makes it that much more intriguing. How can two people who never meet each other end up in a romance story? Well, you’ll have to read to find out! As is normal for Claudia Burgoa, both of these characters still have their flaws and many problems to work through, but it all takes place in such a fun way that it totally works. Definitely a romance with a different feel!
I’m still processing what I just finished. First, OMG, I FLOVED IT!! The H/h have their issues and their journey is a twisty, windy road filled with humor, sarcasm, snark, sweetness, heartbreak, love, friendship….all kinds of feels. It is a heartwarming love story. A slow burn. It sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go until I had read the final word. A must read that leaves you with that warm happy feeling inside. I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I absolutely loved this unique, and refreshing romance. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to this virtual rom-com. What I found was witty banter, intriguing story-line, engaging characters, and hot sexual tension that leaped off the page. Amy is Jackson’s new virtual assistant. She knows just how to handle the surly, demanding CEO. Jackson has never been challenged like this before and they soon begin discussing more than their daily tasks. Outside of work, they have each started dating someone new. But the virtual connection is just as intoxicating for them both as the physical. Their daily text messages have allowed them to form a bond that no one else has with them. But their new relationships are just as inviting, and captivating, confusing them both. If you think you’ve read this story before, trust me, you haven’t. This is a wonderful, witty, steamy story that will keep you turning the pages and capture your heart. I fell hard for these characters and so will you! , I promise!
Loved the chemistry with the characters in this book!
Take one sassy, spirited virtual assistant add one, grumpy, hard-nosed set in his way CEO and what do you get??
A fun, sexy uniquely original story with a small amount of angst. It’s got the feels, the smoldering looks, even through chat’s and phone calls it was hard to ignore the glaring attraction simmering between them. Jackson and Amy may think they hate each other, but there’s that fine line and these two didn’t just blur it, they eventually buried it. But there’s a twist. Both have been dateless for years, but suddenly they’re putting themselves out there and now the each have a significant other… but still wish for the greener pastures of their online relationship.
When reality and internet clash, how will they deal with the repercussions.? Nothing is really what it appears to be… except for their emotions. But is that enough?
Jackson and Amy were the perfect couple, even before they met, he’s a strong, sexy all alpha male and she a vibrant, but secluded woman, dying to break out of her self imposed prison.
I loved these two from start to finish, Jack turned out to be quite the romantic and his change of heart was wonderful to watch.
A billionaire CEO just got a temporary virtual new assistant until his assistant comes back from maternity leave. He’s private, a workaholic & doesn’t trust easily so this should work out perfectly for him. Until she asks personal questions. And sends over a questionnaire. And puts him in his place when he’s rude & demanding. Soon business messages & texts become more, showing glimpses of their private life. What happens when there is a new man she meets & is interested in?
Absolutely loved this story! From the first page it pulls you in. I love how it’s written, as well as both POVs. She’s fiesty, isn’t scared of him, & gives it right back to him. He doesn’t realize he relies on her & needs more of her until it might be too late. A page-turner & a great read!
Maybe Later is a unique, sexy and heartfelt romance that hits all the right spots. Jackson is a hardworking, reclusive and gruff CEO, who meets his match in his intelligent and feisty virtual assistant, Amy. They square off and argue from the moment he sends her his first list of tasks, but they quickly find themselves working well together and talking about more personal matters over emails and messenger chats. They’re both leery of love and surprised when they begin to feel strongly about someone they’ve never met. Of course, their relationship gets a lot more complicated when they meet outside their cozy virtual world without realizing they’re Jackson and Amy. You’ll feel everything while reading this gem of a romance.

Amazing beautiful intense love story.Excellent.ready for more
I am so confused about how to rate this book! The first 50% of this book I was not the biggest fan, I liked the story but it was almost only emails I was reading and I was getting maybe a little bored and needed more from the characters, I wanted to know them more. but then just as I was agreeing with my self that this book would probably only get 3 stars she ended the last 50% of the book with a 5 stars worthy story. So now I was like well what do I do know? So I ended up giving it 4 stars.
This book started out as I said almost only on emails and it was basically just emails between Jackson and Amy getting to know each other finding out what to do and building up a connection. You will get a little romance in between but not much and there isn’t any sexual tensions or anything but there is this killing slow burn connection you can feel building so it keeps you interested but it was just too long for me.
But then she started to write the book like every other book where I got to know them and feel what they feel and got to hear their thoughts. Then I started liking this book and now I wanted to know more. This storyline is hard to tell about without spoiling anything but I will tell you the twist you think is coming, think again. I sad choked after it and was thinking to my self…Yes, Claudia, I saw what you did there you clever woman.
The ending and epilog was definitely my favorite part of this book and was the part where I finally felt like I fell in love with them and not just liked them.
So even though this is one of my favorite trope’s boss/assistant/pa I will not sell it entirely as that kinda book because she is a virtual assistant and she has nothing at all to do with him other than over email. But are you into slow burn, sweet men with a twist of a little bossy, and some self-discovering characters then this is your book.
This story was so much fun to read. The author does a great job of engaging the reader with great characters and awesome storytelling. I started the book at bedtime, and ended up going to sleep really late. It totally captures you until the last sentence. Fabulous read.
Five soul-striking starts! Readers will love it instantly.
Oh my pounding heart! What a wild and beautiful journey I experienced while reading this book. Maybe Later by Claudia Burgoa is achingly emotional and exquisitely raw and funny. It was a roll coaster of emotions. So many good times. So many laughs. So many tears. It is a story that still dances in my heart and dreams. It is bubbly as champagne. It is a sweet piece of heaven wrapped with all the feels. Truly extraordinary. Unequivocally addictive. Unforgettable. An epic story with highs and lows that left me wanting more and more. A heartbreaker in the best way possible. A real love story. A journey to conquer fears. A tale where everything is real and not a simple fairy tale.
Maybe Later is a masterpiece with capital letters. A book gem that you should add to your bookshelf. Claudia Burgoa delivered a wonderful and consuming romance. Hilarious and heart-warming. Passionate and maddening. The pace is fast. The plot is beautifully developed and a punch to your heart. So intense. So amazing. So everything. I am obsessed with the enticing story inside the pages of this book. It still burns in my soul. This book is devilishly brilliant. It kept me prisoner to its wishes. Séduisant et magnifique. It is a predator and you will be its prey. I devoured it in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down because it was so damn good.
I fell in love with the characters. Jackson and Amy are too real and human. They can’t stand each other but they can’t resist each other either. Their journey is a slow-burn romance with an intense touch of forbidden attraction and a lot of my favourite trope: cyber assistant / CEO boss. They have been hurt in the past. They hardly trust anyone and that makes them quite vulnerable. Jackson is the epitome of a billionaire CEO. He is very demanding and very private. He is a broken knight and rough around the edges. He is bossy and perfectionist when it is about his job. He is quite the workaholic. Only an evil assistant will soft his edges with her witty and sassy attitude. He doesn’t impress her. She does not fear him, in fact, she challenges him. She scares the hell out of him!
Amy is the perfect heroine. She is clever and very professional. I found myself quite identified with her because she is as hard-working as me, she is strong and fierce and much determined. Nothing and nobody impressed her, not even her stubborn new boss. He a devilish knight and she should keep it professional for her peace of mind. But there is a stupid magic surrounding them, a spark that ignites between them and the desire floating forbiddingly.
Jackson and Amy’s story is the ultimate, steadiest and seducing employee-boss-romance. From the beginning they were exactly what the other needed. They fit like puzzle pieces. Their working relationship was epic and extraordinary with a lot of turns and downs, tempting and over everything else, wonderful.
I undoubtedly recommend you this book. It will touch your heart and soul. Romance like this is what readers crave and want. It is a cosmic experience nobody should miss. Maybe Later is a must read that has a lot of good things for you to experience.
I loved this book!!!! It made me laugh so hard I cried down my leg!!!!! Claudia Burgoa, you did it again!!!!!
Let me first say this book was great, I was hooked from the beginning. Not once did I want to put the book down and walk away. Now, I will say that at first I was a little unsure but loved the characters enough to want to see where the story was going.
Typically I love reading emails or text messages/chats in books, I think it just adds another layer to the story. This book is heavy on emails in the beginning, so if that’s not your thing, trust me and keep reading it will be worth it. Both Amy and Jackson had so many layers to them that I never felt like we really knew all there was to know about them. I loved watching Amy challenge Jackson and I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two.
This is a fresh twist on an office romance and one that I know I won’t forget. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I wish that I could say this book was phenomenal I wish that I could say this book was amazing. However even though I love the author Claudia burgoa. This book did not meet its match. I wish that I could say that everything this book was to my standards and it was not. This book was basically about a arrogant boss who is matched with a assistant who is virtual and everything didn’t work out. The entire book left me wanting for so much more. At some point. I thought that eventually one or the other would figure out who the guy Danny was but it didn’t happen. Considering that Jackson signed the paperwork for Amy or emmaline’s hospital paperwork. You would think that someone would have had to figure out that each other was not who they were supposed to be. I wish I could say that I love this book but I didn’t. I will say that in the past I have very much enjoyed the books of Claudia burgoa. But this one did not even measure up to the amount of emotion and standards that the previous ones did. I would only recommend this book as a three-star.
3.5 STARS
This book was great from the start. I loved the banter between the two characters. They both had been hurt in the past but will they be able to overcome their past to allow their feelings to grow?
Well, this is a departure from the Claudia Burgoa that ripped out my heart in My One Regret, which I willing let her do, of course and loved it! I may have previously referred to her as the queen of angst..maybe.
This is different, more romcom than heartwrenching but I am going to give her major kudos for the way the H and h met and began their relationship. I don’t know if I ever read anything else like it and the clever quirkiness of it pulled me into the story of Jackson Spearman, reclusive, wealthy CEO and his new virtual assistant, so obviously different from him..oil and water! You just know that Amy Walker is going to rock this man’s world! Boy, does she ever! With her daily inspirational quotes that he doesn’t ask for, the playlists she cultivates to whatever activity he is going to be involved with whether he wants them not, sending him the lunch that differs from what he likes. The fact that she tries to bring him out of the safe shell he’s been hiding in annoys the hell out of him, but somehow, slowly but surely, she gets to him, warms up his bruised heart and becomes a friend.
Amy is not what she seems, which brings thought provoking mystery to her character. Yes, she’s an amazing assistant but things from her past have changed her and now she is more comfortable with her cats, working from home and avoiding relationships, except for her virtual ones. Amy is really not who you think she is.
Claudia may not have killed me with angst this time, she killed me with curiosity instead and had my head spinning with the twists she spun into this story. Just when you really hope that Jackson and Amy will overcome their fears and meet in person, Amy meets someone that rocks HER world. What will happen now, you wonder? I did as well and I spend my time glued to these pages until the whole tale was revealed in this slow burn romance.
Who wins who’s heart in the end? Oh that ending was so sweet and perfect, I only wish it had been alittle longer. A very creatively written story with humor and heart and a big recommend from this reader.
An advanced copy was generously given, happily received and this is my honest and objective review of it.
A cute and funny story. I loved that the female was a sassy woman who knew exactly how to deal with a demanding, sometimes annoying Man. A virtual workplace romance full of snark and giggles. It was a nice change from the usual workplace romances. I enjoyed reading Maybe Later.
As I started reading this book I wasn’t sure I would be able to stick it out. I mean who wants to read a book written entirely as texts, and emails? I am glad I gave it time. Eventually it does actually start telling a beautiful story from both Emmeline and Jackson’s point of views. There was a period of time when I was confused as to who Emmeline was and why I was reading about her when it had been mainly Jackson’s interactions with Amy. But I am so glad I stuck it out. Eventually it captured my attention and I couldn’t put it down.
If you’re getting a little bored with the typical tropy romance, this is the book for you. With a fresh premise, a unique format and a fascinating twist, Maybe Later deserves a category of its own. Start with a cranky CEO forced to avail himself of a virtual assistant. Add in said assistant with her snappy, snarky, brilliant emails and messages, then a side potential romance for both characters, and let the fun begin.
Burgoa did a beautiful job with both character development and developing the virtual relationship between Amy and Jackson, making it impossible not to love both of these characters. Amy is both the bold, intelligent, uninhibited heroine we all love and the uncertain, timid, cautious person many of us strive to overcome. Jackson seems like the complete opposite of Amy, but as interactions with Amy reveal more of Jackson’s character, the similarities become more apparent. Through both of these characters, Burgoa shows the ease of courageous keyboarding while highlighting the importance of bravery and taking chances in real the real world. With endearing, relatable characters, a unique format and a fresh storyline, this engaging, heartfelt, humorous read is definitely worth a 1-Click.
