Maybe Later is a one of a kind read. It was quirky, and heartfelt, and I like hhe characters. I can’t express how much I enjoyed reading this entertaining story. Go an buy it an read it for yourself.
Finally I’m able to post my review, i had so much fun reading this story, even when my head was dealing with a family crisis.
Jack, Jackson was a great character, he was so easy to love even being a grumpy sometimes. This was a whole new experince to him, trying to be more like a human with manners. LOL
Amy, Emmaline was a bada$$, she was a strong woman but had some insecurities, she made me laught, cry and feel sympathetic.
Loved the online story between them, was pure and fun, they talked without any reservations.
I feel It was kind of fast forward after they meet in person but the eveything is worth it.
I’m sure you will enjoy this read if you are looking into a fun and light read.
This was a funny sexy read about Jackson and Amy. Loved their interaction and banter. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t stop reading until I finished this sexy intriguing hilarious story. Loved this romantic comedy and I can’t wait to read more by Claudia Burgoa.
Jackson is a demanding, overbearing grumpy boss. He has set standards that are impossible to meet and any relations with his staff are strictly professional and he doesn’t want anyone getting too close. When he needs to replace his assistant temporarily a virtual assistant is hired, and she is everything he doesn’t want in an employee.
Amy couldn’t be more different than Jackson. Where he doesn’t allow anyone close, she hasn’t met a person she hasn’t liked. She is the sun compared to his dark clouds and she gives as good as she gets when it comes to the interactions between them.
As they adjust to working together their relationship evolves into a friendship and even though they have never met the flirting begins. They both have secrets so will they be willing to take a chance on meeting each other and see what they could have or will they be afraid to take the leap and enjoy the relationship they already have?
These two couldn’t be more different or more perfect for each other and there is no denying the chemistry and connection between them.
Maybe Later, by Claudia Burgoa, is on of the most innovative approaches to a romance that I have ever read…and it works! Jackson Spearman, the CEO of EMC Technologies, is a cantankerous and demanding boss. For the next 3 months, his personal assistant, Carla Jones, is on maternity leave and has to find him a temporary personal assistant. He relies on his PA for everything from reminding him of appointments, getting his coffee, delivering his lunch, making sure he has the right kind of water…it never ends! She settled on Amy Walker, who just happens to be a computer! At this point, I was laughing so hard and it just kept getting better. The whole story is in conversation form by way of emails. Through their email, Jack and Amy actually start to flirt and they both become different people. Then comes the twist. They really are different people and it becomes complicated. Not for the reader, for them! You will love how their relationship flows and grows. A great idea that had me thinking about You’ve Got Mail, only sassier but just as delightful. Once I finished, the first thing I wanted to do was go back and read it again. It’s that good!
Maybe Later is a fantastic read, from the very start of the book it had me. I was laughing out loud with tears running down my eyes. OMG the characters were incredible they had such amazing dialogue. Claudia Burgos has one great talent she brings her book to life with her words. Once you start this great romantic comedy you will not want to put it down. Mr. Spearman CEO and Amy Walker virtual assistant are a real delightful pair you feel like you are really getting to know these two. I don’t want to give anything away about this great story, I will just leave you with this a must read and definitely a book I feel you will enjoy as much as I did. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
A virtual assistant….a difficult boss…..reading back and forth texts and emails….Maybe Later certainly wasn’t what I expected on so many levels, but it was one I enjoyed very much!
Two people each dealing with their own heartache, who have closed off their feelings to so many, begin a working relationship that helps each to open up, develop friendship, and trust again. He has shut himself off from the world, is a business-only man who has no real emotion or compassion for others, including his assistant who is going out on maternity leave. He is assigned a virtual assistant to help during his secretary’s maternity leave. Not happy, he “deals” with what he has. Each day through texts and emails, the virtual assistant starts to chisel away at the hard exterior and has him start to look forward to her daily messages, quotes, music, etc. He is falling for her.
She has her own issues. She never recovered from family losses. She hides her identity in her work. She helps others but can’t seem to help herself. She took on this job as no one else would be able to handle his personality. In breaking through his rough exterior, she comes to know herself as well. She shares things with him that she has not been able to share with others. He is breaking her down as well.
Who knew that friendship and love could develop just through virtual communication? Who would have expected each of these people to let the wall come down and learn to trust again?
This was a great story of friendship and love! Two thumbs up!!
I liked this book. The story is interesting and the characters are complex and compelling. They both need to learn to trust others and to be more honest with themselves.
I enjoyed how they meet each other and how they help each other with their various relationships. You know what is going to happen, but you don’t know when or even how it will take place. I enjoyed waiting for it.
This is a good story that you should take a chance and read.
I dont read very many office romance but this is a good one with a few surprisingly good twists will have you hooked from page one. I really could not put down and enjoyed these characters quite a bit.
OOOOMMMMGGGG!!!!! I’ve NEVER read a book like this one and I’m so glad that I did!!! The heroine and the hero were phenomenal!!!! This story started completely different from any story I’ve read and it was interesting and the plot pulled me in. They were many moments that I laughed so much but then it got better which I didn’t think would happen. I thought it would die down but nope it got wayyyy better and oh my so much emotions. These two had many things in common but in someway of another helped each other out without really knowing. It’s complicated to explain without spoiling which I won’t do because you need to capture the essence and slow build beautiful love story of these two. Oh my heart I loved these two and definitely I want more!!!!!

Maybe Later by Claudia Burgoa is interesting, to say the least. While it is very different from what I am used to reading by the author, I liked it.
In Maybe Later, we meet Jackson and Amy. Jackson is in dire need of a Personal Assistant as his PA goes on maternity leave leaving him in the hands of the Virtual Assistant, Amy. At first, through the emails, it seemed that they butted heads a lot. However, they are so much alike.
One thing that did throw me off a bit was when they met but didn’t actually “meet”. I did confuse myself a bit but as the story progressed my confusion started to fade. This is not your typical romance as there are no sexy times throughout the book. I loved that they did not just jump into a relationship, they actually got to know one another.
Overall, Maybe Later is definitely worth one clicking.
This is such a great and different romantic comedy. Jackson Spearman and his virtual assistant Amy first started off pretty rough. He didn’t want a virtual assistant but since his assistant is on maternity for the next 3 months, he has no choice. Amy somehow gets Jackson out of his own shell and the 2 of them get along as they work together. Amy and Jackson open up to each other online, they realize how much they enjoy each other’s company and can’t wait to get to communicate with each other everyday.
When Jack runs into Emmeline at a used/antique bookstore, there’s instant attraction but each are hesitant about a relationship. However, they decide to go out and get to know each other. Jackson (aka Jack) asks Amy for things to do with Emmeline and Amy is more than happy to help. Amy herself met someone herself and wants to get into a relationship since she hasn’t been in one in forever.
The journey for Jackson/Amy and Jack/Emmeline are filled with funny situation and romantic gestures. When Jackson finds out information about Amy, he can’t figure out what to do and if she knows what she has been doing! Their past makes them insecure about their current situations but each of them (Jackson/Amy and Jack/Emmeline) must work through their past issues in order to give each other a chance.
Maybe Later another wonderfully written story by the lovely Claudia . She has once again given us well written characters that you fall in love with and a clever original love story for the ages. Jackson and Amy have developed online persona’s that has hidden the real person. They each have a list of reasons why to hide the real them but for now what they put forward has to be enough. It is their security and saves them from hurt and disappointment .
Jackson is a smart, stoic, nose to the grindstone CEO that has recently lost his assistant and is forced into the virtual assistant world. He soon realizes that Amy is sassy, intelligent and can certainly give him a run for his money . What begins as a online work relationship soon has the possibility of becoming so much more. Maybe later is clever, funny, original and the witty banter between the characters is oh so entertaining and refreshing !!! Claudia certainly never disappoints me with her fantastic characters and wonderfully unique stories !!!
Loved it !!

So here’s the think about Burgoa’s books. They are normally so emotional that I have to prepare myself for them. I’m talking pulling hair, gut checks, etc. With Maybe Later, Burgoa gives us a witty romance that swept me off my feet. Its so different from what she normally does but it shows the wide range of creativity and story telling that she possesses.
Jackson’s assistant is leaving on maternity leave and she has hired him a virtual assistant. Everything is done via email and chat apps. He’s a hard client to please but this new assistant might just be exactly what he needs in his life.
The banter between Jackson and his assistant is to die for. They push each other’s boundaries and generally had me laughing the entire time. Give me some witty banter via email and I’m a sucker. No idea why but I love it!
While this is a softer side to Burgoa’s work, in true fashion, there are some twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. I’ve left this review generic for that reason. All I can say is that you don’t want to miss out on the gem.
I have read many of Claudia’s books, and prepared myself for a bit of a tear jerker. Well there were tears alright, tears of laughter! I found myself laughing out loud. A lot! Jackson Spearman, is a wealthy Tech Titan, and his assistant, Carla was going on maternity leave. Jackson and wasn’t happy losing her for four months! Carla hires him a “Virtual Assistant” named Amy. Amy is super-efficient, very smart and a little snarky, and they butt heads from the beginning. Jackson can be a bit of a tool! He’s demanding, very privet, and seems to be close to only his family. Jackson stays very resistant to her, and doesn’t trust her but slowly comes to appreciate her thoroughness. Amy is smart and quick witted, and has funny little quirks, but she keeps to herself, with the exception of her two close friends. We slowly learn both of their back stories. They are two people with painful things in their pasts. They only communicate by texts and emails. Amy doesn’t even know his last name. There are a couple of twists in their story that you won’t see coming. I loved this book! It is the epitome of a slow burn, but in a completely unexpected way. If you’re like me, you will love this book too
The wit, banter and dialogue between these characters was fantastic. I absolutely loved the tension and found myself laughing out loud at way too many points and eagerly changing pages.
Light and refreshing
What a great kinda office romance. I loved the story. The interaction between the 2 main characters was awesome. Loved that she didn’t take his attitude and domineering ways. She was able to give back as much as she took. I will be honest the beginning of the book was just text/email dialogue which I’m still confused if i liked or not. I love a lil dialogue here and there but the first few pages were like that and it didn’t help with connecting with the characters. Once the book picked up it was soo good. Although i did want a bigger climactic ending. But loved the way it ended. It sort of left me wanting more or to see what happens after. Great 4 star read! This author does not disappoint with her storytelling.
Ooh I loved this book. It was fun and delicious! I had so many ooh and aah moments reading it. It was so intense, I was on pins and needles waiting to see who Amy would pick!
If you love the movie You Got Mail, you will love this book. I loved these characters. They both were flawed and brillant and were everything together. The witty banter in the emails and text messages got me hooked from the beginning. The only thing is that this is a very slow burn. And then things get a bit rushed at the end. Still loved it!
Another great story by Claudia. Usually her story have me in tears from the first few words but this on was the opposite. I loved the texted form of this story. It was not your run of the mill romance story so to speak. It was quirky and funny, along with some fabulous chemistry from the characters. I recommend this story.
