I loved this as an Ebook but as an audio it blew me away
Wow this book is a complex read but what a great read !!!!
Jackson is a successful CEO but he is a recluse he doesn’t handle change well so when his secretary goes on maternity leave he is lost and it doesn’t help that he finds it hard to trust so his secretary comes up with the idea of a virtual assistant maybe this will solve the issues Jackson has.
Amy Walker is the virtual assistant hired to be the person behind the chats and emails and she is perfect for Jackson, if anyone can bring this man out she can because she’s not afraid to tell it as it is.
This pair don’t seem to hit it off, he thinks she is unprofessional she thinks he’s prickly but they both look forward to the banter they share in their daily emails and chats could there be more for this couple that on the face of it seem so very opposite…….
This book has a lot going on and it intrigued and captivated me from the first chapter to the very last page, it’s a slow burn about building trust and friendships as well as learning to love, it’s about secrets and learning it’s ok to open up once you trust someone, characters with plenty of witty banter helped make this a great read.
I really enjoyed this book. It was hard to put down once I got started. I liked the style of writing after I figured out how she was writing it. I looked forward to each message. Thanks for a great read, characters and good satisfying ending. Looking forward to more of this author’s books.
When I started reading this book I wasn’t sure if I would finish it. Let’s say that the unique telling of the story was original and made me laugh many times. Opposites in so many ways but the characters kept everything real. Loved it
excellent ! loved it !
Very entertaining with wonderful characters.
I was on edge as to what would happen. Couldn’t put it down
This was a most unique way of writing … and I loved it. It was a great story and quite clever. A stretch about the mixed identities not being revealed sooner, but worth it. Maybe strung out just a tad bit too long. That and the early jack-off language detracted from the rest of the high quality. Made the 5th star debateable, but you can easily skip it.
Loved the characters. The back and forth on the internet was definitely different. I could feel the pain Amy and Jackson were handling.
Great job Claudia Burgoa.
It took a while to adjust to the format of all the texting. Overall, I enjoyed the book. The premise of Jack/Jackson knowing, eventually, he was dealing with the same woman and Amy/Emmilee not knowing she was dealing with the same man was clever and kept me reading.
Love this author and this series!!
To predictable
Loved it and was LOL!
Really enjoyed the way a lot of the book was written as in their virtual communication back and forth. Great character building and definitely a page-turner. Routing for them to get together as they seemed to be such a good match. Great word-building.
This book was so much fun to read! I haven’t read a book where the dialogue was designed like this. The story cute and a joy to read!
This is the first book about the Spearman Brothers. It isn’t really a series in the normal sense. Each book is written as a stand-alone story, but characters are intertwined. I read Then He Happened before Maybe Later so I already knew some of Jackson and Amy’s story. I was confused, though. Don’t worry. It’s a little complicated, but it all makes sense when you get into the story. Of course, this is only an issue if you read Then He Happened first.
Maybe Later doesn’t fit into a traditional romance trope, nope…it’s way more fun. It’s engaging, witty, funny, and very entertaining. The format is written mostly through text/chat messages. If you’re looking for something just a little different, don’t be afraid to pick this one up! It’s worth it!!!
Good banter, great concept of fist few chapters are a series of texts. Thought it’d be more cathartic or eventful at the climax the story, but still, not bad. An easy read with all the warm feelings.
This was definitely an intriguing story in the format of the telling. It was witty and comedic as well as romantic. Emiline used a fake persona (Amy) for work to protect herself. She was a smart cookie, having built up her own business successfully and managed a great number of tasks. Her past held her back from living. Then her life intersected with grumpy Jackson, and the fireworks went off. He was so set in his ways that he had trouble accepting the changes Amy/Emiline made. I loved how they helped each other move forward with their lives, even had moments of tears and smiles. These two were a fun couple. I also enjoyed the combination of Sebastian York and Grace Grant as they gave voice to Jack and Emiline.
I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Great story line and characters – keeping track of the characters identities is a challenge at times. I loved the story. Only negative comment is that there were many typos and wrong words used, as well as missing pages. But I prevailed and finished the story and so glad I did.
This is like a modern version of “You’ve got mail” from the 90s. Only the first half you only see the chat messages exchanged and the last half is from both perspectives. I actually was surprises to find i really enjoyed the first half of this book. Then finding out how they actually get together in the second half was ideal.
Definitely a slow burn. But worth it. The story takes you on a journey of healing and learning self love and worth and being able to be you without exception before opening yourself up to someone else. There were many points where I wanted to shake either Jack or Em. As where they seemed to be their own worst enemy and get in their own ways a lot. But their story was beautiful and awesome in a serendipitous way. That only happens once in a life time. Loved it. So cute.
