New York Times and USA Today Best Seller, L Wilder:Maverick is a man scarred by a past full of deceit. He was forced to make a choice… a choice that now keeps him held in the darkness — a prisoner of his own doubt and regret. The Satan’s Fury MC is the only thing he lives for. Being their new Sergeant of Arms gives him the distraction he desperately needs to endure. He knows that he will never … will never forget, but with the help of his brothers, he’ll try to move forward.
Henley’s life was just as she’d always planned. All of her hard work and studying had finally paid off with a full-ride to college. Everything seemed to be right on track… until the night she witnesses a crime that puts her in danger. She suddenly finds herself needing the protection of Satan’s Fury and an enigmatic biker named Maverick.
Henley is immediately drawn to Maverick. The pain and anger in his eyes hides something. Despite the walls he keeps throwing up, she knows there is more to him than just the brooding biker who makes her body crave his touch. She will stop at nothing until she makes all of those walls come crashing down.
When the lies of Maverick’s past unfold, will Henley be the light that pulls him from the darkness?
Warning: This book is intended for readers 18 years or older due to bad language, violence, and explicit sex scenes. Maverick is a standalone romance, but you may be interested in reading Summer Storm, the first book in this series.

This is the first book in the Satan’s Fury MC series, and i cant wait to see what comes next!! Loved it!! Full of action, suspence, thrills, and MC danger. Excellent character buildup!! Love the chemistry between Henley and Maverick!!
A great read! And Maverick’s story starts with a little heartbreak but he feels no matter what, that he is doing the right thing. Spring forward 6 months and Henley finds herself in need of help from Satan’s Fury when she witnesses something that puts her in danger. She and Maverick clash at the start but she proves to be much more than he realises!
On to book two!
Maverick knows he is making the right decision about focusing on his club and keeping distance from those he cares about. Danger is rampant and until they figure out who is behind the threats to the club it will stay that way.
Henley happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnesses a member of the Satan’s Fury murdered. Henley finds herself in danger and ends up under the protective watch of Maverick. Maverick tries his best to stay as just a protector to Henley, but she has a way of getting under his skin. When a moment comes that Maverick needs someone to lean on, he finds himself leaning on Henley who has nestled her way into his heart. The only problem coming his way is if he has to let her go, his mind says he has to but his heart is a different matter altogether.
Wonderful story. This is a bit of a slow burn romance and the first chapter is heartbreaking. Terrific start to new series.
Good read just very abrupt ending.
*WARNING* contains explicit adult situations, crude language, and violence
Maverick is a member of Satan’s Fury MC and he broods. Maverick holds into everything thing wrong he feels he’s done and makes himself miserable with it.
Henley is a smart college student who isn’t really into the biker scene. When Henley gets into some serious trouble the first person she calls is her sister who is the bartender for the MC.
I enjoyed this story. It is set up perfectly for an ongoing series with an enemy for the MC. These 2 are the perfect “opposites attract” couple. There were some unexpected twists in here. The storyline was entertaining and had lots of action. Likeable characters . Well edited.
A fun read. So glad Maverick got his HEA. They are good together. As a avid MC book reader, this was a great start to a new series for me.
I loved this book about Henley and Logan’s story. There was a lot of drama and I loved Dusty’s story. Would recommend this book to anyone.
I couldn’t wait to read about Maverick. This was a wild, emotional journey. Maverick and Henley are perfect one another. They did have some bumps in the road but their chemistry was amazing.
Leslie Wilder just took her MC stories to a whole new level! I’ve enjoyed all of her Devil Chaser’s MC books but she has stepped up her game with Maverick from her new Satan’s Fury MC series. We meet Maverick through his associations with the Devil Chasers. In the final book of that series, he has dropped off his son, John Warren, to be adopted by Lily And Goliath believing that he was doing the right thing. Maverick heads back to Washington because there are all kinds of ominous things swirling around that need to be sorted out. This is where the difference lies between the two clubs. Life in Tennessee with the Devil Chaser’s is a picnic compared to the more hard core, darker world that Maverick belongs to.
Enter Henley, college student, cute but a bit dorky, she’s the sister of Cassidy, who bartends at the club. Needing Maverick’s protection as she witnessed a murder, Henley stays at the club. I was expecting her to get on my nerves; I don’t get how stupid she could be to try to escape Maverick’s protection when she was clearly warned that she was in grave danger. As the story moved along, I actually loved how she tried to ease the burden of a man who has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Maverick has got to be my favorite MC boyfriend. He is everything that I’ve longed for in this genre. He is a true badass. He doesn’t compromise in his actions ~ he stays true to his character thought out the book and doesn’t apologize for it. He is as good a man (strong, sexy as all, alpha, menacing badass) as someone living that lifestyle of kill or be killed can be. Maverick melted my heart with Dusty, a little boy from their club, with Downs Syndrome, as he had him sitting up on the kitchen counter making him ice cream. Little did Dusty know what Maverick was capable of as they hunted for the men who killed his dad and served one of them his sentence. Uh yeah, remember the name Stitch …
At the end of the day, Satan’s Fury MC are brothers. They live for each other ~ they die for each other. There is no stronger bond. I loved the darker, more intense edge of this book. I’ve a feeling that Stitch is gonna have one hella story! The writing was flawless ~ grammar, sentence structure spot on ~ an amazing read by a truly talented author.
Anyone who follows my reviews knows I love MC romance, and am always on the look out for new series and authors. Well, this is an author that I’ve read one of her later books, and decided to go back to the beginning of the series. And I’m beyond glad I did! This story was fantastic! I knew, from reading her later series, that I would enjoy this book, but I loved Maverick and Henley so hard!
Maverick is a man with a past that could break almost anyone. The things that he went through in this book made my heart hurt! I’m not ashamed to admit I cried a few tears for him. His strength of character, determination to do the right thing, and selflessness really stood out to me.
Henley is a girl in the wrong place, at the wrong time. But, luckily, she has the Satan’s Fury MC behind her! She was such a fun character, and I really enjoyed her antics, her zest for life, and her sunny outlook on life. She is exactly what Maverick needs to push past the funk he was in.
This book was at times sad, and at other times LOL funny. There were times when I had to stop reading, just because I couldn’t believe what had just happened. There were lots of surprises around every corner, and plenty of action to keep it interesting! I enjoyed this story, and can only hope the rest of the Satan’s Fury MC series is just as amazing!
What a great start to the Satan’s Fury MC series. I was already a fan of Maverick’s from the Devil’s Chasers series. This just made me love him more!!! And Henley is a great addition. She is smart, funny, & has the perfect amount of sass to keep Maverick on his toes!!!
I am going to enjoy this series just as much as I did the Devil’s Chasers MC series!!!
Leslie Wilder does it again!!! Loved Loved Loved this book. Couldn’t wait for Maverick’s story and was definitely not disappointed.
