MATTHIAS’S MIRACLE is the sequel to BREN’S BLESSING (Book One of the Quasar Lineage).
You don’t have to read Bren’s Blessing in order to understand the plot, but the story will be more well rounded if you do!
PLEASE NOTE: This SciFi Romance alien book contains Adult Language and Steamy Adult Bedroom Scenes. It is intended for 18+ Readers & Adults Only.
It’s part of a science fiction romance series but can be read as a standalone story with no cliffhangers!

The story continues, but this time with a new couple and so much more. I really enjoyed listening to this story and am looking forward to the next couple and seeing how these men will find their perfect mates.
Saved in the nick of time!
Matthias’s Miracle is book 2 in The Quasar Lineage science fiction romance series by Pearl Tate. The book centers around Susan, one of a group of women abducted by aliens from college who is rescued from alien rape by Matthias. Both Susan and Matthias have personal histories which make them nervous about their mating.
I liked this story better than the first book, Bren’s Blessing. There was more character development and you learn more about their matriarchal society. The aliens haven’t had mates in thousands of years, so don’t realize exactly what is happening to them. They start having dreams, develop enough of a bond that they know where to find them, and start developing mating marks even before meeting their female. They also have other physical and psychological changes. The female aliens see finding mates as a threat to their rule and do not allow access to the histories which talk about those matings laws revolving around them. This creates some great action and suspense.
The story includes insta-lust, but don’t let that stop you picking up this book. You do not need to have read/listened to book 1 to follow Matthias’s Miracle, though the characters from book 1 do show up. I really liked the fact that there was both a male and female narrator – normally there is only one or the other. Having both really pulls me into the story more than one gender trying to portray both. Randi Johnson and Kelsey Navarro were both GREAT and I hope they also narrate the next book. If you like alien abduction and science fiction romance, I recommend picking up this book.
This was a little bit more serious than the first book. Due to background stories of Susan and Matthias, they had a bit more obstacles to cross. But through it all, they found strength, love and insane attraction in eachother.
I am so excited to see what will become of the other men and women.
I will be rushing to purchase them so I wont have to wait.
I would highly recommend this book and this series.
Happy reading!
Rating 5 stars
Definitely a good read. The main characters are perfect for each other and the chemistry is spot on. I’m glad the series is continuing and I hope a future book has Matthias’s ex gets a dose of karma. I’m excited to see who’s story is next. Enjoy.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
I listened to this book as a set of the first 3.
These books were very good. The world building was unique and I would like to continue to explore it. The characters were believable. The narration was done well with multiple voices. I would recommend reading this series.

While technically a standalone I would highly recommend reading Book 1: Bren’s Blessing first. In Bren’s Blessing you find out more about this world and their society’s makeup. Matthias’s Miracle was a lot of fun and sets up at least three sequels, leaves some questions unanswered and sets up some possible significant societal changes in the future. I look forward to reading more of this series.
I received this audiobook for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I was looking forward to this book and loveed every minute of it, I was hooked from the beginning and was entranced all the way through, the plot was dramatic and the characters enthralling all brought to life by narrators Randi Johnson, Kelsey Navarro. I really enjoyed Matthias’s and Susans story and can’t wait to see who finds their mate next.
This being the second book in this series, everything is still new to the men from Quasar. The women didn’t have much of a choice. This is Matthias’ and Susan’s story. This has the Discovery en route to Quasar and in need of a vaccine. The Council wants two couples to stay and be part of a breeding study and Susan is collecting the medicine and leaving. The Council is not being honest and poses a danger to everyone. Matthias knows something’s wrong and goes berserk to find Susan. I love this series.
I liked the sci-fi Romance. Though some of the language was a little too rough at times. I felt the hero was an original. Refreshing even. I got the book through storyorigins and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I liked this story a lot. It was nice getting to check in with Bren and Hannah as well as get a new couple in Matthias and Susan.
Susan is one of eight young women that are abducted by aliens from college, She starts to wake up as she is separated from her friends. The next thing that Susan realizes is that she is now tied to a bed. She fights and fights and then hears a roar of rage. Her rescuer is Matthias and even though he scares her, she realizes that he is trying to help her. He quickly becomes the one person that she wants to hold onto.
Matthias is Bren’s brother, so he knows what it means when his mating marks start to show up. He also starts dreaming about his mate and knows that he has to get to her. When he finds her tied to a bed, he wants to hurt those that attacked her, but more importantly, he wants to release her and let her know she doesn’t need to be afraid anymore. Matthias is nervous about having a mate because of how he was treated on Quasar.
The way Matthias and Susan become a team and work together is wonderful considering what they had been through. Matthias became so protective of Susan and it was super sweet. I recommend reading this book.
