Billionaire Sutton Mayfair has nothing left to lose…My best friend is getting married to the woman I love. They say the nice guy finishes last. So what’s the point of being a goddamn gentleman?Maybe I should take what I want.Even that sexy little thing on the street corner. She needs a hot meal and a place to sleep. Instead I’m taking her home to soothe the savage beast inside me. I was born a … savage beast inside me. I was born a bastard, and for the first time in my life I act like one.
Except the more I use her, the more I need her.
I didn’t know I had someone left to lose.
But for a single heartbeat, I had her.

It was so easy to get caught up in this incredible story. Sutton and Ashleigh’s romance is a powerful and poignant tale that is sometimes painful but ultimately beautiful. I felt so terribly bad for Sutton. I found his situation relatively unique in the book world and that made it even more compelling. As for Ashleigh, I felt for her too. I loved her combination of spunkiness and sarcasm. I really couldn’t help but draw comparisons to one of my all time favorite movies, Pretty Woman and just like that movie this book and it’s characters simply captured my heart. So to somewhat steal a quote from said film; He saves her and you know what, she saves him right back. It is definitely going on my keeper shelf.
I was hooked on this mating theory! 4 stars
I couldn’t wait to read Sutton’s story since reading about him in the Trust Fund duet (you can read this as a standalone), and I was hooked from the beginning. In beginning of this book, we meet Sutton at his lowest point and broken hearted, and my heart broke for him. During this time, he meets Ashleigh who was also at her lowest point doing what she had to do to survive. I admired her for her strength and felt for her too. As they spent time together, they forged a deeper bond that was more than physical and begin to need each other. So can two people who find comfort in each other in a time of need also find love? Read this book in one sitting, get hooked like I did and find out!
*I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review.*
Warren pushes emotions to the edge. Mating Theory is not a fairytale. Sutton is no Prince Charming waiting to rescue a damsel in distress. Ashleigh refuses to play Cinderella waiting on her Prince to come. These are deeply flawed people with the weight of the world on their shoulders. Warren isn’t looking to the stars, she deals in reality. Neither love or life is always beautiful. It’s the ugly moments of teardrops and hopelessness that help us discover who we were meant to be. Hidden behind the bruises is the courage that leads us to find our way home. One heartache at a time.
Mating Theory
I have spent the last several hours totally enthralled and entranced in my favourite world with my all time favourite characters. I love everything about Tanglewood and it’s inhabitants and can never quite get enough. There are lots of appearances of familiar and much loved faces.
If, like me, you have been waiting (not so) patiently for the enigmatic, beautiful and utterly self destructive Sutton Mayfair to get his own story, you will not be disappointed! Mating theory is compelling and full of passion and intensity.
Sutton is brooding and broken, lost in his own personal pit of despair at having to live without the people whom he wants most when he meets Ashleigh, equally broken and desperately in need of a saviour.
The chemistry is unparalleled between them, both finding solace in the unique relationship that they have stumbled into.
Both must make sacrifices in order to get what they most desire. Their journey is deliciously painful, full of angst and entirely perfect.
Skye Warren has delivered another devastatingly wonderful and truly satisfying read. Bravo!
This is a beautifully sad book that transforms into a magical, fairytale ending much like a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, Ashleigh is transformed from a prostitute into the capable smart young woman she always should have been. Sutton enables the transformation and in so doing is able to move past Christopher and Harper. Loving Ashleigh and setting her free brings her back to him forever. So many of the other Tanglewood favourites make cameo appearances adding even more to the story. I am glad Sutton got his own story and although it made me cry, I can’t say enough good things about this extraordinary story.
