Meanwhile, in Australia… a feisty chick in her red ballgown is jumping off the Pyrmont Bridge in Darling Harbour to escape dingo shifters. She’s saved by five guys with mixed feelings over whether to kill her or use her to form the mate bond that will move their lives from ‘fight and run’ into ‘safety and belonging’… if only one of them wasn’t keeping a secret that completely changes the game. … game.
An ambush, and the realisation that mate magic runs deeper than they thought, leads them to hide in a cabin in the Blue Mountains – where Jager bombs are drunk and things get out of control in the hot and naked kind of way.
This is not a parody of Australian life and is definitely a genuine shifter RH paranormal romance. Our Harper gets to keep all 5 of her men, after they earn her trust and her heart.
This is a fast burn, with m/f, m/m, and m/m/f (threesomes, foursomes, and moresomes) and a trigger notice for not-entirely-consensual anal (dubcon) and an instance of self-harm which may be triggering for some people – but which is not part of the main plot or an ongoing recurrence.
If you like fast burn RH, from 0-100 in about 10 chapters, this is for you. If you like slow-medium burn with lots of tension and lead up, then go into this one with your eyes wide open for something different. The premise for this book actually started as a dare on facebook… and out of that the author was supposed to write a short story but couldn’t help herself, she’s a sucker for world building and character development and that takes time. So here it is. For anyone who would love a second book please head over to the facebook group ‘Amanda Cashures Keepers’ and share your desires.
As it stands this is a stand-alone, book 2 won’t exist unless readers really want it. It has a Happily For Now ending where Harper gets to keep her five guys and they get all their hopes and dreams answered. Its a full-length novel at 100k and there’s plenty of bonus materials over on ‘Amanda Cashures Keepers’ facebook group.

What a ripper!
I had my doubts about this one, that a book written to be “Australian” could suffer from too many forced ockerisms. Fears unfounded, it is great fun!
I don’t read a lot of paranormal fiction but this felt like a fresh new take on shifter mythology and I’d love to see more in this world – no cliffhangers here, the book wraps things up nicely but there is definitely scope for it to continue.
“That’s why there are five of us, so when one makes a stupid decision the others can make it right.”
Every time I read an Amanda Cashure book, it’s a new adventure. This book is one I could read a million times and still laugh like it was the first time. It has it all. The shifters in the mob, or RH, are not average and not all the same. The laughs are plentiful as Harper is determined to claim the “most” alpha in the group. It’s hard though in a group where alphas are plentiful, but one is other world scary. She’s going to have to go through Flynn though if she wants to make this work, but the real question might be if that’s what she wants after all. She’s been on her own and hunted for a long time. Does she have what it takes to be part of a group? To form individual bonds? Get ready for laughs, a little bit of rough love, mate magic, and M/M… There’s never a shortage of fun times and craziness when you enter a world of Amanda’s imagination!
This is a fast pace story that is hard to put down. The romance gets pretty heated pretty quick. This is an interesting take on shifter society and a look into life in Australia. I’m from the USA and found the story still easy to follow even though it is written from an Aussie’s perspective. I loved this story and hope there is more to come.
Harper (the MFC) has been on the run for a long time. Since her mother was killed by diseased dingo shifters who now have their sights set on her for reasons im that im not letting out now (no spoilers!) When they finally catch up with her she ends up jumping off of a bridge & slap bang into the clutches of a group of various shifters – Flynn, Steve, Puss, Tas & Lochy. They need another shifter to join their group in order to go down under (pun intended as this is set in Australia lol). Whether she can trust them or not remains to be seen? Still in order to complete the mob (their group) she has to have sex with them. All of them! Hardly a hardship as all of them are smoking hot. The sex & the sexual scenarios in this book are flaming hot!!! Really good. Love Harper and the guys theyre great characters. A lot of fun and funny as hell. This is brilliant book and i loved reading it
his story is amazing! I fell in love with the characters easily. The variety of shifters is refreshing. I have never read another book with platypus shifters before.
This is a hot and steamy book filled with unique shifters and a unique plot. I really liked the world building and the character development. I thought that the multiple POV was nicely done and really enjoyed this book.
I had read and loved Cashure’s other books and for some reason just hadn’t read this book, but I decided to jump in and boy is it a steamy, fun ride. I like Harper and liked that she challenged the guys, although I thought she did let a few things slide, like with Flynn. Initially the guys are kind of jerks to Harper, and I do wish the guys had worked for some forgiveness. There are some real world references that were kind of fun to read. I also wished in the end we got to see what came after – or maybe this mob gets another story 🙂
