Levi is her family’s longtime enemy. He is also her mate…In times where rebellions are on the rise and power is slipping through his fingers, Carlyle Tallant arranges his only daughter, Eden, to marry his strongest warrior. Darian is a fierce fighter with the drive of a stallion, the charm of a politician, and the looks of a model. It was everything a dragon shifter woman could want—but not … want—but not Eden.
Something feels off to Eden. She wants nothing at all to do with him, but knows that rebelling against the marriage will only bring trouble.
Eden’s life takes an unexpected turn when she comes across a dragon, wounded and unconscious in the forest.
Eden takes the dragon back to her home and heals him. When the dragon morphs back into his human state and wakes up, Eden is stunned. It’s Levi, the first dragon to deny the crown and go into exile. If having a rogue dragon in her bedroom of the palace wasn’t enough, it soon becomes apparent that this man is her soulmate.
Danger and complicated emotions follow. Eden has a role to play in the Kingdom, and that means following her father’s orders. This means marrying Darian. However, she can’t stop how she feels about Levi, nor can she accept Darian. She feels out of control of her own life. In Eden’s world, nothing is certain but her love for Levi.
Can their love survive the wrath of Carlyle, the Dragon King?

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with the good storyline and well detailed characters that I ended up reading this book in one sitting!
Eden is a princess and a fire dragonborne. She is a Healer and has made herself get over a phobia of water. She meditates in the water and that helps her calm herself inside and gets rid of her anger that most dragons have. Her father wants her to marry Darian who is the top Warrior, but she feels something off about him. She doesn’t want to marry him, but her father is demanding she do it. So on her one date with Darian he already ordered her drink and food and she hated both. Then he took her back to the estate. She went for a walk to cool her anger and she finds an injured dragon in the woods. She drags it home and heals him. Late he changes to a human and it is Levi who is wanted by the whole kingdom as a criminal. They realize that they are soulmates. The rest of the story is about all the problems and solutions so that they can be together There is a happy ending.

A fantastic paranormal romance story about Eden a young woman being forced into an arranged, advantageous marriage and Levi a young man exiled by the dragon king, Eden and Levi are destined soulmates but due to Levi’s exile and her intended marriage will they both be able to find happiness with the one person who understands them? Filled with danger, suspense, impossible happiness, steamy passion, understanding, and love. I absolutely love the paranormal romances Lola Gabriel creates. Each one is different and filled with so much action and danger but with happy endings. Her books keep readers entertained and captivated from start to finish. Reader’s won’t want to put Mate’s Kiss down.

An interesting shifter romance.
Eden and Levi are both in bad spots because of her father, Carlyle, who is the leader of the dragons and know by the name of the “Mad King”. Carlyle is adamant that Eden marry Darian to strengthen the clan but there has always been something about Darian that makes her nervous. When she meets Levi, she realizes he is her mate and that just makes everything more intense.

Second book of the series. I loved it.
Eden has been rejecting his father’s pressure to marry one of his subordinates for years. She has no feelings for Darian. She does not want to be forced to marry, as her father does not force her siblings. And she notices that there is something strange about him. But she ends up agreeing. Everything changes when she finds Levi, her mate, although she knows she won’t be able to be with him.
Levi left the community because he didn’t want to be the leader of the warriors. Every time he killed, a part of his soul died inside him. He became a renegade, persecuted by everyone. What hurt most was that his mother couldn’t get the attention she needed because of who he is. One night, badly wounded, his way crossed with Eden’s, who cured him, and discovered that she was his mate.
I loved Eden. She wants the same thing that her brothers have, to be able to live her life, that nobody decides for her. She wants to marry for love. She wants to heal, she wants to help, and she fears losing it when she is forced to marry. She finds it difficult to accept her relationship with Levi, but she ends up doing it.
I loved Levi. He is the first to notice their bond, the first to accept it. She is his mate, which he never thought he would have. He would do anything for her, for her family, even submit to Carlyle’s authority again.
I loved them together. First they were mates, next they were also friends, and finally they were in love.
I would have liked to see Asher and Olive, and Sebastian.
I recommend it.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

Eden stood at the lake, enjoying the silence, the smells of the pines, and the beauty in front of her. She stepped into the cold water, then floated as she relaxed to meditate. Meditation for those who were dragonbornes required bravery and determination, since water was a natural enemy of a fire-breather, capable of disarming them of their greatest defense. Some couldn’t even tolerate a shower! Dragons were quick-tempered, but she wanted to be a healer and needed to be able to find inner peace. Being interrupted by her cousin Ivy brought the rage back as she went to see her father in his study.
Eden’s father, Carlyle Tallant, sat in his favorite chair as she joined him. When he actually looked nervous, she knew she would not be happy with this discussion. He told her it was time she married Darian. Darian may have been one of the top warriors, respected by many, but there was something “off” about him. Perhaps his political ambitions? Her father had made dinner reservations for them and she had to get ready immediately. Darian had ordered for her before she even got there, which aroused her anger at even that tiny piece of control being taken from her.
She went to the lake to calm down, only to have Darian show up and annoy her. He tried to beg her to give it a chance, even if they were not soulmates. But she wanted nothing to do with him. But how long can she put the marriage off?
Fate comes into Eden’s life when she finds a wounded dragon in the woods and takes him home to heal him. When he shifts to human form, he is recognized as Levi, a banished rogue who defied the king and would not continue to fight against innocents after the battle was won. There is a price on his head. Levi is Eden’s soulmate! But she is also the Dragon King’s daughter! With the pressure for Eden to marry Darian, and the danger of Levi’s presence there, what will the soulmates do? Does she obey her father or follow her Fate to be with the man destined to be hers?
This was a good story, well written, with well-defined characters. The story line has good pacing to keep the reader interested. Grab a copy and find out how this exciting story resolves.
Eden’s father is determined to make her marry his strongest warrior, problem is that Eden is not attracted to him. Eden is a healer she meets Levi when she comes across him hurt in the forest and takes him home so he can heal. This is a fast paced shifter romance that kept me turning the pages. The story is well written with wonderful characters and an interesting storyline. Eden and Levi were likable characters couple and had great chemistry. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

This is a well written fast paced action packed dragon shifter romance between Eden and Darian. She’s the King’s daughter , he’s been banished and has a price on his head. They’re soul mates but she’s been promised to another. One she doesn’t want. The author does a great job building the story and moving it quickly and smoothly. Her characters are well developed and perfectly described. It’s an entertaining story I enjoyed reading.

I cried so much. It wasn’t pretty – there was green stuff and everything
I also had a headache after it because of all the crying. Why? It’s just like a scaley version of Romeo and Juliet (without the suicidal ending).
I loved the characters and the fact that we are totally aware of Eden and Levi’s thoughts, hopes and dreams. And I particularly loved the glimpse we had of Matilda’s story and what she went through for Levi.
I thoroughly recommend this book – and if you get this book then I’d order in a new box of tissues. – they’re good tears (eventually)

Lola Gabriel’s Mates Kiss is a romance of a rich spoiled woman and a poor banished man. The moment they meet, the know they are fated mates, but can never be together.
Eden’s father is requiring her to marry his strongest Warrior, whom she has no attraction to.
Levi has been banished from the kingdom for his contrary political views plus a price on his head.
While this is a fast paced, page turning story it is still a romance story that you will enjoy.
I really enjoyed this can’t help but give five stars to this entertaining romance srory.
Lola Gabriel writes an excellent book. This one is about Eden, the daughter of the dragon king, and Levi, a rogue dragon living outside the Kingdom. She has been betrothed to further her father’s political gains when she meets an injured rogue dragon. With little chance of avoiding marriage to her hand-picked husband, she finds her mate. The trials and obstacles Eden and Levi encounter are the heart of the plot. This story is well-written and the characters have depth. The plot is not superficial and the sex scene is modestly handled. An enjoyable read with a HEA ending.
