Levi is her family’s longtime enemy. He is also her mate…In times where rebellions are on the rise and power is slipping through his fingers, Carlyle Tallant arranges his only daughter, Eden, to marry his strongest warrior. Darian is a fierce fighter with the drive of a stallion, the charm of a politician, and the looks of a model. It was everything a dragon shifter woman could want—but not … want—but not Eden.
Something feels off to Eden. She wants nothing at all to do with him, but knows that rebelling against the marriage will only bring trouble.
Eden’s life takes an unexpected turn when she comes across a dragon, wounded and unconscious in the forest.
Eden takes the dragon back to her home and heals him. When the dragon morphs back into his human state and wakes up, Eden is stunned. It’s Levi, the first dragon to deny the crown and go into exile. If having a rogue dragon in her bedroom of the palace wasn’t enough, it soon becomes apparent that this man is her soulmate.
Danger and complicated emotions follow. Eden has a role to play in the Kingdom, and that means following her father’s orders. This means marrying Darian. However, she can’t stop how she feels about Levi, nor can she accept Darian. She feels out of control of her own life. In Eden’s world, nothing is certain but her love for Levi.
Can their love survive the wrath of Carlyle, the Dragon King?

This is a good story. Eden and Levi are soulmates but she doesn’t want to believe it. How can he prove it to her? Her father wants her to marry someone else. They are likeable characters leaving the reader invested in the outcome. There is some sex and some adventure and a good story to hold it all together. This is a good afternoon read.

Eden had managed to put her father off from forcing her to marry for a few centuries. But since no true mate seemed to appear for her, and he wanted to strengthen his kingdom, he insisted she wed once of his most skilled warriors.
Naturally Darian is an egotistic man, hungry for power and favor, eager to wed more for prestige than affection. As Eden put it, had it won him the power he was so hungry for, Darian would just as likely have wed any of her brothers.
Naturally, as soon as she was forced to spend time with icky Darian, she met her true mate – Levi. A strong warrior, he had been exiled from the kingdom after he refused to keep fighting after the war was won. Levi had no stomach for destruction for the sake of destruction.
Dastardly Darian is determined to gain the hand of Eden, nearly as determined as Levi and Eden are to be together.
Fair maiden hand goes to the true of heart – and exciting steamy shifter romance / adventure!

The king promises his daughter to someone. She finds someone else out in the forest hurt and needing help. They hit it off and belong together. But you have the bumps in the road. The hot times and sweet times. I really enjoyed reading it and recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I don’t know. It’s a good story and exciting. It is just hard to see some one forced into doing something that they could not see themselves doing. How can a father do that? Her brothers would not even fight for her ether. Crazy thing that her soulmate is the only one to do that. I wounder if her father ever found his soulmate. If he had would he have tried forcing her into this marriage? I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
