The Talon Pack continues with an outcast witch and a wolf who can see past the darkness.
As Heir to the Talon Pack, Ryder Brentwood carries the responsibility of not only protecting his Pack, but ensuring its future. Only no one knows that as he does this, he must also shield his people from their past. When a witch with no ties bursts into his life, he must decide if he can overcome the … the depravity of his secrets and trust the one person who could break the fragile hold on his control.
Grieving over the loss of her twin and on the run from the unknown, Leah Helm knows she is far more alone than she thought possible. Her coven shunned her before she was born and the wolves she sought protection with are in a war of their own. When a wolf with a whisper of secrets is forced to work with her in order to protect their people, she finds she might not be so alone after all.
The world knows more than they ever have before about those shrouded in darkness, while Ryder and Leah are thrust into the center of a conflict they never should have been part of to begin with. On their journey they must not only fight those against them, but the burning temptation that is flaring between them. Fate might have paved their path, but that doesn’t mean they have to follow.
more
Frustrating wolf. Holding back secrets. Not trusting anybody. But so deliciously alpha and protective you can’t help but love him.
And then there’s the witch. On the run. Stronger than even she knows. Unwanted, alone, and grieving.
Sexy, broody, powerful, magical… their story was all that and more!
Book 3 in Talon Pack by Carrie Ann Ryan
Ryder is the Talon pack heir but this has come from violence and pain and he’s holding back awful secrets that some in his brothers know something isn’t write but they don’t know what.
Leah is a witch without a Covent but she had her twin brother and that was enough but humans found out about witches and tried to kill them but the Talon Pack found them.
Great book and loved the continuation in the growth of the talon pack.
This book feel a bit slow for me put I didn’t stop reading it at any point.
Looking forward to Charlotte story and the new mystery that is Shane.
While strictly a standalone read with its own HEA, this book is very much better served by at least being familiar with the series and it’s premise. I’m not really that into books that are heavy into ‘magic’ and I was afraid that this would be. However, apart from sections where magic is essential to the story, it was much more about the relationships. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
Talon Pack continues to be a favorite, Each story has characters with depth and interest, emotions and desires. I love her writing.
Love her books, love her style of writing. Good job!
Loved this book, keep writing more waiting for your next book.
loved it
Good start with action at the beginning but then got repetitive. To much mate talk with same content over and over. Same basic event repeated itself over and over. Built good magically identities but the did not really use the ability. Love sense not passionate enough. I almost stopped reading and it is a quick read.
If anyone is looking for an entertaining book to read this fills the bill. It’s predictable but well written.
Great series
An entertaining blended story of shifters and witches.
The overarching story line and interwoven characters are so rich, it feels as though you can reach out and join them in their tales.
Love this author but this is not my favorite book she has written. It is a great story line and I will be reading the next book in the series.
Great read
While I am not a huge fan of witch stories. This one was so interesting that I couldn’t help but become invested. I really felt sorry for Leah. But I would love to have her power. Ryder as well has this crazy secret. How he functions day to day is incredible. That that Brentwood family endured I just can’t comprehend. I ended up loving this as well as coming to love the series. I am looking forward to the next one
I did listen to this on audio. Gregory Salinas does a wonderful job with these pack members. I love his voice when their wolf comes to the surface.
The continuing story of the Talon Pack slowly reveals the secrets of their past. In this book Ryder, the Heir to the Talon Pack, comes to terms with the demons in his past. He also finds his mate in Leah, a water witch with her own problems. Their story is action packed and steamy, with each needing to be rescued, and their bond growing stronger.
I love the Talon Pack series, each installment adds more to the complexity of the pack.
With the outing of the wolves to humans, the wolves now find they have another problem. Finding Leah wounded and her brother dead, they need to know what happened to have them on the run from the humans.
Without a coven to turn to, Leah has no choice but to accept the offer of sanctuary from the Talons. She can only hope she doesn’t further incur the wrath of the coven that shunned her.
From the moment Ryder held Leah as she grieved for her brother, he knew the women curled into him was his mate. He doesn’t have time for mating there are too many unknowns going on, regarding both the witches and humans.
A favorite scene is when Ryder tells her he can’t mate with her after growling at his brother.
Between losing her brother and confronted the coven that shunned her and then this not mating thing with Ryder, Leah is a confused bundle of emotion.
Talk about a man who refuses to accept his fate. Ryder’s secret will be revealed and their will be further growth and change for the Talon Pack.
Lots of surprises in this book, we have love, angst, dishonor, betrayal, sex that starts at a simmer and then bursts into flame, and so much more.
Have loved every book in this paranormal series, The Talon Pack.
