Mate (Children of Ossiria #4) (2019 Revision) by Vivian Lane is a wonderful story to read. This is book number four in this wonderful series that I have read and loved. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about vampires, fantaasy and paranormal romances.

Ok so this fourth book in this series is every bit as good as the rest of them! This addition focuses on William and Carys although the rest of the characters are around! Drama, suspense, romance and passion this is just wonderful and I would recommend you read this series from the start or you are missing out!
Mate is Book 4 of the Children of Ossiria (2019 Revision) series. We continue with the story of Ossiria. This book is gentler than previous (no battle between good and evil) as we are focused on the relationship of Carys/Kalana and William as they become use to the merging of the Carys and Kalana and how it has affected Carys. Will William and Carys come out being able to survive the merge and move forward in their relationship? Will Carys start including William in decisions instead of just making them herself and then having to repair the repercussions after the fact? The story line is well written and the characters are developing nicely. I highly recommend this book and series but do stress starting with Book 1. Received a copy from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This is a great book. It is the 4th one in a series and I have loved watching the characters develop. I love reading about the relationships that are developing. I love that you can actually see in your mind where they are and how it looks by how descriptive the author is. I cannot wait to keep reading this series to see where all it is going to take me.

Oh Dear Lord, Roth a series like Vivian Lane’s Children of Ossiria it’s so hard to know where to even start describing things. Wonderfully imaginative? Check? Full of adventure and with just the right amount of romance? Check and check. Perfectly plotted and written? Double-check again. So now we get to Mate (Book 4) and Carys (Kalana) and William’s story just gets better and better. This is a series best started with book 1. It’s wonderful (and separately reviewed). By the time you get to this book 4 you’ll be fully primed and ready for a total treat. Highly recommended? Easy to check that one off.
This is the fourth book in the Children of Ossiria series and it continues the story of William and Carys. L:ike the other books, it is well written and has great, well developed characters. The pacing, for me, wasn’t quite as exciting as the other books, but that is probably because this story focuses more on the changes Carys is going through and how she and William cope with them. It is still an integral part of the series and I definitely recommend it for anyone that has read the other books. It is well worth the time!

This is the 4th part in a series. I have enjoyed all the previous books and I have read this one again with great pleasure.
The story of Carys and Will continues when she has discovered that she is a Goddess and has new powers such as teleportation. Her love for Will continues to grow and in an unguarded moment she declares him her eternal love when they are on Ossiria and this brings with it many unexpected events that are irreversible!
Great as the story goes in all directions. The roles of Carys and Will are further deepened and their physical response to each other becomes stronger and stronger and leads to intense love scenes.
However, I give this part 4 stars. This is mainly due to the fact that the writer regularly makes a “trip” to descriptions of people other than the main roles of Carys and William. Sometimes I could not make a link with the story why she described this (such as the step to Gwendolyn and her school party or story Antony and baby Elyse)
The question that stayed with me after reading the first part was; what happened to the black knight? In this part we meet him but his story doesn’t seem to be over yet ….. Enough to think about and look forward to new parts

Carys and William are back as we watch their relationship go and change this time after what happened in the last book. It was more relationship driven story then fighting the big bad this time but still a well written story. I felt like I was there and part of it all. I really spent time wishing I could slap both of them a few times but overall it was fun to read. And interesting to see Carys become more comfortable with the was her life ended up. Plus the other characters do show up from previous books.
Carys sets out to protect and restore Ossiria. Kalana and Carys had integrated perfectly, not separate entities but an expanded knowledge. The humans there had accepted her fully and she became their favorite of the deities. But when she finally returns home to Southern California, weeks have passed instead of days! William is unsure what this implies, whether she has come back evil or not — but they finally work it out and their relationship solidifies.
There is still adjustment needed to accommodate the changes Carys has experienced. Although she is still like herself, she now has the added knowledge and powers which she has to help William understand and accept. It is especially awkward when they enter into a mating claim on Ossiria, only to have Carys rescind the claim and release William. Things are unsure and it will take time for their love to stabilize. Will William be able to trust in their love and accept all that has happened to them?
I enjoyed the book which was well-written with a good story line and amazing characters. Her relationship with William is still resolving and they need to be patient as they adjust to all the changes. Are the two of them ready to face their future?
This is book number 4 in the Children of Ossiria series. This has been a great series so far with well developed characters and very well written. I enjoyed the storyline. I’ve been hooked throughout this series and really enjoyed. I highly recommend reading. (I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
Being a goddess with serious responsibilities and at the same time a protector with human desires and needs had Carys doubting. She and William had a long way to go to in their relationship with so many ups and downs. Still think that William had got the worst part in all this and he must be purging his past seedy deeds. Sometimes during the reading, I forgot that William was a vampire and I was reading paranormal. So much drama and entertaining common situations in here! Liked how the author included intriguing characters to this story, some familiar characters others new, adding more interest to the story. There was some suspense, friendship and camaraderie, romance and lot of passion. Good series that had me hooked. Can’t wait for the next book.
So, this book was a continuation of the series on Ossiria. It focused mostly on the relationship between William and Carys and how they adjust to the changes Carys has gone through. I thought it was a good story, though it was missing a little something that the previous books had, and I’m pretty sure it was the excitement of a good fight between good and evil. The threat William and Carys faced in this book was not a physical threat, it was emotional and mental and only existed between the two of them. The other characters in the story were more on the sidelines than they had been in previous books and I did get pretty irritated with Carys for not talking through her issues with William and always making decisions for the both of them and fixing it later, but overall I still enjoyed the story.

Gosh I love this series!!!! In this book Carys goes through a TON of changes both emotional and physical….not to mention she and her beloved William also go through growing pains. Our little group gains a newcomer…or not so new to one of the group. I can’t wait to see how this character grows over time. Thankfully in this book there’s no big bad to worry about. Instead Carys had to learn more about being the Empress and having two personas in her brain. I love seeing how this group works as a family, and look forward to seeing what happens next! I ESPECIALLY can’t wait for book five! I for one think it will be pivotal to Carys and william.
Will Carys get her happily ever after or will she give into her fears? After becoming the goddess Kalana and going to Ossiria to re-build, she returns to William thinking only a few days have passed. But instead weeks have elapsed and William is afraid she isn’t coming back, or will come back as an evil goddess with amazing powers. But after merging her two halves, Carys is still herself but with greater knowledge and powers. She must get William to understand her fears and accept her. William and Carys have declared their love for one another but what is next? Will Carys agree to a mating? And what about the child she is supposed to have in the future? Vampires can’t procreate, can they? This was a happier gentler story than the first ones. Nothing evil coming to harm Carys. All of the old gang are here, and a few new people added to their inner circle. One from William’s past, might just be someone to finally make Bethany happy.
