When single mother Haley Renault’s boss, Nicholas Hunter, makes a bet that he’ll get married before his buddy does, Haley sees the perfect opportunity. While Haley is no romantic, she firmly believes her dating app can find anyone—even self-centered, maddening Nick—a perfect match. If she can show Nick the app actually works, then he might approve it, and Haley’s dreams of success could begin. … There’s only one hitch. The man Nick presents to the outside world is nothing like the caring, selfless one she’s getting to know—the one she’s starting to fall in love with.
Nick loves money and all the power and prestige that comes with it. With a cool million riding on a bet with his buddy, he’s determined to win, and Haley’s dating app is just the advantage he needs. But the app’s matches bore him—they’re only interested in his money. He can’t help but wish they were more like Haley—funny, sexy, intelligent, and a woman who sees the man behind the billions. But just as he realizes Haley just might be his perfect match, the app comes through with his “ideal” woman. It’s a chance—maybe the only chance—to show the world Haley’s app actually works.
All Nick wants is Haley, and all Haley wants is for her app to work. It’s a bind all the money in the world can’t fix, and Haley and Nick will have to unravel it before their perfect ‘match’ gets away.

Nick and Donovan had just returned from a beautiful trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, where their best friend Brian just got married. Wondering aloud which of them would marry next, they turned it into a bet. Haley Renault had joined Nick for a meeting, so he asked her how much to bet – she suggested a million! Donovan agreed to the bet. Then Nick told Haley to continue work on her matchmaking app that she had put aside to help him find a wife and win the bet! But she had to find his target within two months! And no employees allowed to participate!
To get started, Haley had to meet Nick at his mansion so she could get the data she needed to enter him into the app. He had to be completely honest with her for this to work. She made snarky comments that he didn’t know were jokes or real; and her mind used his responses to convince her why he was shallow and would never be good for her. He wanted pictures of himself with his fancy cars and huge mansion because he told her personality really didn’t matter! So she told him it truly did and they would somehow tease one out of him before she finished his profile. When he took her to the back of the mansion to show her his dogs and how lovingly he interacted – and admitted they were rescue animals he saved from abusers – her heart almost melted. He had been running his animal sanctuary for 7 years!
Haley was done with men, particularly billionaires. Her daughter’s father was a billionaire who couldn’t dump her fast enough and made her sign a NDA. The money he gave her was put in a trust fund for Amanda’s college when that day came. Never again with a billionaire, she told herself.
After a week, Nick had been on two dates – but both of them were horrible. Haley met with him and asked for lots of details so they could tweak his profile and avoid repeating the issues. The real truth that he didn’t tell her was that during both dates, he kept thinking about Haley and what she was doing, what she was wearing, what it would be like to kiss her. . . Then he turned it around and asked about HER preferences in a date! She said none are worth dating, and he told her to keep that secret or it would ruin his chances. She responded that okay, maybe he was the last decent guy – and she was speechless when he then suggested she match the two of them! He even offered to split the million dollar winnings with her! She responded that half a million wasn’t worth a lifetime commitment, and she would get him some additional dates by the end of the day. But his mind remained on her. It was going to be difficult to be open-minded to anyone else.
The next day, Haley’s daughter had a fever. She called Nick to see if she could work from home, only to find out he had no idea she even had a daughter! Would this end their flirty banter? She was hopeful of matching Nick which would mean they would promote her app. But the anxiety about losing Nick was becoming a real concern to her. When he talked to her later, he said he needed to meet briefly in person, and he offered to come to her home. He brought groceries, medicine for Amanda, and dinner for the three of them – it just so happened to include Haley’s favorite food. And when he was introduced to Amanda, he surprised her with a doll! He seemed so comfortable having dinner with Haley and Amanda. He was not at all like the man she had thought him to be. Then he kissed her and it was amazing. But they couldn’t go there – he was her boss. She needed this job. She told him she wasn’t dating. And this time, he agreed with her and walked away.
Haley tweaked his profile and finally found the “perfect” woman, Anna. He tried to tell her that she was the one he wanted, but she continued telling him how important this app was for both her and Amanda. If it worked, if they could market it, it would help her career. Would he date Anna, find she was a good candidate for his wife? Would he stop trying to change Haley’s mind and get her to choose to be his?
This was a cute story. Yes, it was predictable – but their banter kept it a fun read. Once the reader got to know them better, it helped move the story line along as the reader waited to see if they did get together. Grab your copy and see how it all turned out – would love win?
This was a very enjoyable romance. The plot was fun but offered a good level of emotion. I liked Nick and Haley and I thought they worked well as couple. I did have some issues with Haley though. Some of her actions seemed too immature or just plain stubbornness. I would have felt better about her if she had shown more growth and openness to what was happening with Nick. I felt there was a certain amount of cuteness to the story and it was a bit predictable but that really didn’t take away from the genuine likability of the book. I quickly found myself rooting for this couple and hoping that they would get that HEA that I felt they deserved.
Haley Ranalt wanted to launch her dating app and Nicholas Hunter wanted Haley to find him a wife via this same dating app. Little did they know they wanted the same thing. This is the second book in this series about three Billionaire friends. This story is a cute back and forth between the H*H until they find their happy ever after. A Fun story with a bit of sexy thrown in for good measure.
This was a cute story. I especially liked that the H admitted his romantic feelings first. I did feel like shaking some sense into h with her reluctance to admit her feelings. One thing that came out of left field…. the dog rescue. There was no back story as to Nicholas’ interest in dog rescue. Who looks after the dogs? Who does the adoptions? Where does he find them? A dog owner myself, I am interested in this information.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was something that I will read again. The love they both had was great. How they were able to over come problems together as a couple
This is the second book in this inside trilogy by this author. I have grown to really enjoy these trilogies lately. That being said these are three guys that are buddies from school that made themselves ultra successful in life and have kept in touch over the years. This story is about Nick and his adventure to find the perfect woman to win his million dollar bet with Donavon. Nick thinks he has this win hands down. He has volunteered to be a beta for one of his developer’s new dating app. What could go wrong, right?

I loved the way Haley and Nick were with each other before they got together. Their banter was a great friendship. Haley was such a good mom and loved Amanda. I liked that Nick wanted to win the bet but he realized that he wanted to be with Haley above the bed. Haley needed the wakeup call that happened when she left Nick’s company. Nick using the app to meet with Haley made me so happy. I also really liked the epilogue.

Haley works for Nick. He realizes fairly early that he has very real feelings for her, but she won’t acknowledge her own feelings. She is so stubborn, and determined to prove that her dating/mating app works that she pushes him away, then realizes what she’s done, and it’s almost too late. I liked these two together, especially when he made a friend out of Haley’s daughter. And of course I love that I got the HEA that my heart desires. I read this book mostly because it was written by Leslie North, and she never disappoints.

Nick and Haley will grab your heart and take you on an emotional roller coaster. He’s her boss and not as the world sees him. She’s created a dating app that might be her ticket to success. He has a million dollar bet with his best friend. A great read that’s hard to put down once you begin. Chemistry galore and plenty of twists to keep your attention. An entertaining story that I read as an arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review.

Haley had already been burned by one billionaire and didn’t want anything to do with Nick. The story was interesting, attention holding, cute, romantic, and steamy. The characters were strongly portrayed and I was unable to not love Nick, Haley, and Amanda. Excellent read!

Nick and Haley will have your nose glued to the pages for this one. Nick is out to win a cool million on a bet that he would get married before his friend. Haley takes her app to Nick seeking investment for startup. As the two spend time together Nick begins to see Haley in a whole new light as possibly the woman he’s looking for. Haley sees the other side of Nick as well as opposed to the hard business one out to earn money and power. Will they have a meeting of the mind and form a partnership of the marrying kind?

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Cliche or fact? North is back to steal off with hearts all over again. Matchmaking the Billionaire is the sweetest of temptations. It’s obvious what’s going to happen next, but irresistible to the heart anyway. Haley was once a dreamer, but heartbreak has turned her into a realist. Nick was once a realist, but love is turning him into a dreamer. Will these two opposites ever be on the same page or is heartbreak destined to strike once again?
When this book opened, I was afraid I was about to dislike Nick as much as I didn’t like his best friend in the previous book. Turns out, the arrogant, entitled jerk persona is just a mask Nick wears to protect himself. It was Haley that got on my nerves for most of the book. I get that she’s been hurt. I get that she’s protecting herself. What I don’t get is why she kept blaming Nick for choices she made. And that inability to take responsibility for her own actions made her difficult for me to like. I also wasn’t a fan of the other woman drama. The other woman isn’t high drama, but I didn’t appreciate the way both Nick and Haley used the poor woman for their own ends. The ending is sweet and adorable and brings the whole thing full circle. Overall, I liked this book better than the first one in the series and I think it’s mostly because I liked Nick.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Leslie knows how to get you hooked and not be able to put a book down until you’re done. Haley and Nick were perfect! It just took them a little while to realize that. Their banter was hilarious and their scenes were scorching hot. Amanda was just the cutest! The story sort of lets you know that you shouldn’t put your own happiness for pre-conceived ideas you already had. Take the happiness or the bull by the horns right away and don’t let it slip away.
