A country music heartthrob and his long-lost love walk into a wedding…Will Truitt grew up living the saddest kind of country song. Now, though, as superstar Billy Brenton, his life is perfect. Or so people think. But he hasn’t been able to write a decent song in months. Crashing a wedding in a quirky little bridal-obsessed town is supposed to provide inspiration to get his career back on track. … career back on track. Instead, all he finds are regrets when he comes face-to-face with the woman who got away, taking his crushed heart with her.
Lindsey Castellano gave up on love a long time ago. As a cutthroat divorce attorney on the outskirts of a town devoted to brides, weddings, and happily ever after, she’s honed her skills at avoiding love, commitment, and inevitable heartbreak. Or so she thought until Will Truitt reappears in her life.
When Lindsey shattered Will’s heart fifteen years ago, she’d been a sorority girl on her way to the top. He’d been a lowly janitor with a dream. Now he’s on top of the world, and she’s the last person he should need or want.
But she’s the only person who has ever inspired his music. And he’s the only man she’s never been able to forget. Have the years made them wiser, stronger, and better able to love, or this time, will they simply crash and burn harder?

Lindsey, the baby-eating divorce attorney from the “marriedest town” had no clue her once upon a time, Will, had achieved his dream with her unknowing assistance until he shows up in her tiny town & reeks havoc on her black heart. Country music star, Billy Brenton turns out to be the same Will that Lindsey fell in love with but left 15 years ago & this time he’s not letting her go until she realizes they are a perfect match!!! I’m in love with this series!!!
This is the second book in the Misfit Brides Series, a contemporary romance. This Series has potential. Lindsey and Will’s second chance to love is fun, and sweet. Lindsey is gifted. She has the ability to know if two peoples are a good match. Her choice of career, as a divorce lawyer, couldn’t be more accurate. Will, a famous singer, is handsome. Fifteen years ago, Lindsey broke his heart, and they met again at Natalie and CJ’s wedding (the two main characters from Blissed, the first book in the Series). They share an undeniable chemistry, and they complement each other. Lindsey definitely is Will’s muse. Their push and pull relationship is a little frustrating, but I like how their story unfolds. The supporting characters are great. I liked to see again Natalie, CJ, and Noah’s. The storyline is interesting, and slow paced, filled with angst, drama, and romance. Some scenes are hilarious. I like the humor, the colorful characters, and the original story. Karen White did a good job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Mickey and Dahlia’s story, in Smittened.
Matching the matchmaker!! Definitely a sweet small-town vibe that was fun to read. Set in a crazy wedding obsessed town with a Aisle not a Main Street where Lindsey Castellano is the only divorce lawyer from the town. After a chance meeting of Will Truitt on the ski slopes of Colorado one brief weekend, there was never going to be more if Lindsey has her way. With wedding crazed town’s folk and true friends looking out for them, this was definitely an easy enjoyable read!
While Lindsey worked her way to becoming a second chance for those with bad marriages, Will became the country super star Billy Brenton. He was Will Truitt, a country boy from Georgia raised by his aunt, with only a handful of close friends still know him that way. Including the sorority girl who broke his heart years ago. With a reunion of sorts at her sister’s wedding, the sparks and smell of roses are still there but some storms there as well. But Lindsey refuses to use her “gift” to pair up the missed connections of Bliss, including possibly her own.
Can Will find his inspiration again? Will Lindsey keep pushing him away? Can she reconcile with herself the two sides of Will/Billy? Will this shark of an attorney use her gift for the good of her friends? I received an ARC for voluntary review.
I bought the ebook and the audiobook but primarily listened to the audiobook. First, the narrator, Karen White, did fantastic. Great ability to play multiple characters and overall, good comedic timing.
This book is the second book in the series but is standalone. In this book, a second chance romance, Will and Lindsey have a second chance at romance. Lindsey broke up with Will in a spectacular fashion years ago because she didn’t think they were well matched (and she has a paranormal gift to tell). And now, he’s a famous singer and back by chance. Can they reconcile even though there are so many obstacles? (including that she’s really really jaded- she is a divorce attorney!) There is a lot of push and pull, mostly because of Lindsey, and a lot of the reason for her hesitation made absolute sense but reading it sometimes became frustrating. There were some really funny sections, lines that made me laugh and such but overall, I felt like this was a very poignant look at how a woman overcomes the fears that is holding her down from achieving her HEA.
All the quirkiness and romance I was looking for in a Jamie Farrell book, with much less wedding craziness. It was made even better by the dash of supernatural power.
This time up is Lindsey and Will (Billy) 15 years is along time to carry the hurt. On spring break they met when the were young and restless. He fell hard and thought she did too until she didn’t. Fast forward he crashes a wedding a sees her again. This time he’s going to win her back.
This was a really good book. It is part of a series but can be read independently. The only thing that bothered me was the use of the main male characters name. There are a couple places in the story where the author shifts between his two names multiple times in the span of a few sentences. It made it hard to keep up with the dialogue.
This second chance romance is book 2 in the Misfit Brides series.
Will/Billy is now a country music superstar and Lyndsey is a successful lawyer, much different from when they met so many years ago.
They reconnect and regain the friendship they used to share. Lyndsey has to accept her gifts and really evaluate what it will take for her to be happy in her life. She also has to consider if she can handle being exposed to the attention that comes with a country superstar. I love how Will is so patient with her as she comes to terms with what she needs to do.
Bliss is full of an amazing cast of characters and I enjoyed the humor and the chaos that comes with a town that revolves around weddings.
I enjoyed this series very much and I highly recommend it.
I do love a man with a southern drawl and ladies Will has one! This is a second chance romance between a country singer and Lindsey the Divorce lawyer by day but hiding her true nature as a matchmaker because of past experience with telling people. There’s a lot of fun to be had in Bliss and if you liked the first book, this book just got a smidge better. You will be laughing and maybe gasping at some of the things that are going on in this spunky town. it’s a HEA with comedy and some feels. I can’t wait to read book 3
I loved all the books in this series. I loved the wedding obsessed town and how each of their happy endings came about, it was a great book and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
Albeit a second chance love story I found this to have a truly imaginative plot, holding my attention until the last page. The characters are quirky and witty lending to delightful dialog. A definite page turner!
A good story and easy to read. Quick and easy to read with a happiely ever after ending that makes us all happy. Easy reader for someone looking to escape reality.
Lindsey is one tough cookie. She grew up in Bliss, a town focused on weddings, and she has a gift. She can tell when a couple is a good match but when sharing her knowledge in college turns her friends away, she decides to hide her gift. Though, one spring break she encounters Will, a fabulous guy that sweeps her off her feet until she gets scared and breaks his heart. She boldly becomes a divorce attorney, something no one in Bliss wants to consider. Will shows up in Bliss, he is now a famous singer, having achieved all his dreams. When Will shows up, Lindsey’s match meter goes haywire and she still believes they aren’t a good match. As Will finds his music, can he crack open Lindsey’s heart? A beautiful journey of love, redemption and learning to believe in yourself.
Will and Lindsey met when they were 19. It was spring break and Lindsey’s friends were avoiding her and Will starts spending time together. They fall in love over the week, when Will gets up on stage and sings a song for her declaring his love, she cruelly takes the mike and dumps him. Fifteen years later, he shows up at her sisters wedding, a famous country music star, Billy Benton. Will’s first hit album was inspired by his romance with Lindsey. He has lost his muse, and it comes back when he is with her. Lindsey is a hard nose attorney who has the gift of being able to see if couples are a good match, but tries to deny her gift. This is a nice second chance romance.
Welcome back to Bliss, the most-married town in the US. For Lindsey, a divorce lawyer, not so much happiness for her. She doesn’t believe she can ever be happy especially after she let the man go that she truly loved many years ago at college. Much to her surprise, he shows up in town and she faces him again. Will is now country star Billy Brenton. The problem is that Lindsey can tell when people are good matches and she cannot see her own happiness. This story will make you laugh (I laughed out loud a couple of times with what I was visualizing as I read), make you sad, and then happy again. Love the romance and drama of this series. I bought the rest of the series after reading the first one. So glad I did.
Well crafted and typical. Good summer read
Didn’t care for it. It went on an on struggled to finished but I did. You knew the ending.
Just enough/not too much angst. Couldn’t put it down – Yay!
I give it an okay for light reading.
Always enjoy Jill’s boxes,fantastic.
