I found a Jessica Ames book that I haven’t read yet!! This is so different to her MC series but no less emotional and heart stopping.
Cal and Sadie have each experienced heartache in one form or another and decide to give Match Me Perfect, an online dating site that uses science to find their matches. On paper, these two may seem poles apart but something clicks with them.
My heart, honestly, this gave me the warm fuzzies! And got me hot under the collar!
And if you take anything from this book, is that life is too short to not live it to the fullest. Take that chance, you won’t regret it. But you may regret not taking that chance!
What an amazingly sweet story!!!!
I loved Callum and Sadie so much!! I love Cal for standing up for himself and I love Sadie for trying to move on from a devastating loss. Sometimes things aren’t what you think they are and I think Sadie got that fact slapped in her face. These two are so incredible! I really felt their connection and was on the verge of tears at one point.
There’s steam in here but it’s mostly sweetness. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.
Match Me Perfect was my first time reading a book by this author but it will not be my last. I thought that the writing was wonderful and the story was amazing. I loved how the very first chapter started out with so much danger and excitement as a way to pull me into the story.
Both Callum and Sadie have had a rough time relationship-wise. Callum lost his wife unexpectedly and has been struggling with the idea of moving on for many years. Sadie was a jilted bride after her fiance decided the day of her wedding he no longer wanted to get married. When the two of them are matched in a dating app neither one really expects things to go very far.
I really loved the chemistry between the characters and enjoyed getting to read the emails and text messages they sent back and forth to each other as they got to know one another. I was definitely hooked right from the start wondering whether or not these two would be able to find a way to be together. There were some dramatic moments and some heartbreaking ones as well. My favorite thing was how I got to see the story from both characters points of view since each chapter alternated between the two of them.
The only thing I really wish was that the book wouldn’t have been over as soon as it was. I really wanted to know more about everything that was going on between Callum and Sadie and I really would have liked more information about what exactly happened to Callum’s wife. I was left with lots of questions and wasn’t ready for the book to be over.
I definitely think this is a must read book and can’t wait to get my hands and another one of the author’s stories.- By Alisa
4 Cranky Stars
At first I thought I was reading two different books, each chapter alternates between the main characters and they are poles a part. One is about Callum, a fisherman in his thirties who lives on a tiny island off the south coast of Devon. He is a widower of 6 years, but the population on the island being only just over 100 he had to be careful he didn’t come onto a distant relation. The second was a bout high flyer Sadie again in her thirties, who lives in London. She works very hard for her step father organising corporate events etc. She has recently just been jilted at the alter by her long term partner of 5 years, she was devastated. Their stories start to come together when they were both pushed into applying to a science based internet dating site. They were chosen as a match, but distance is their main problem. The whole book is written in depth with a lot of feeling. There are few surprises but a true romance. The end makes the decision for the rest of their lives. If you like a good romance this is the book for you.
Sadie is left at the altar, and to help her out of her depression, her friends sign her up on a dating up. Callum is a widower and fisherman living on an isolated island, and has just about given up with the app when Sadie sign is. This is a beautifully written story, which is a sweet read. I was intrigued and hooked throughout, and look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.
This book was one of the best contemporary romance I’ve ever read!! I am blown away by Jessica Ames and her writing!! Her descriptions are beautiful and is a very visual read in the best way!! There’s something so uplifting about this book. The storytelling is beautiful and that first chapter pulls you right in!! Callum is perfect for my harem, he’s with the book husbands!!
I was not prepared for just how sweet this was! I truly loved it. Callum and Sadie were so cute together right from they’re first messages. I loved the uniques start to the relationship they had with being matched in a dating app. What’s becoming the norm in the real world hasn’t really become the norm in books yet so it was fun to see these two connect in a way so many people do in real life now.
Poor Sadie went through a relationship nightmare before her friend signed her up for a dating app. Dumped on her wedding day minutes before she was supposed to walk down the isle she wasn’t sure that she’d even bother logging in to the account her friend created. Callum is finally ready to move on from losing his wife years before but living on a pretty isolated island means dating is more than difficult. Just as he’s about to give up on finding a match Sadie is finally taking the leap and using her account. They form an immediate connection with that first message and as they continue to talk their chemistry becomes more and once they meet its off the charts.
This was a fun story, unique in it’s own way, with how the characters met and then got together. Lots of feels, with two people finding their way through the pitfalls of life and online dating.
Sadie had spent a long time feeling depressed after being dumped by her ex, on the biggest day of her life. Her friend wants to help pull her out of the doldrums and sets her up for a dating app. Sadie’s sure it’ll be a waste of time.
Callum is a widower who lives on an isolated island, he signed on the dating app too, but it’s not been super productive so far. In fact, he was about to give it up as a joke, when Sadie finally takes the plunge and signs in. They are soon chatting, texting and getting to know one another.
From that first chat they discover a chemistry that can’t be denied, but will it be the same when they met for real?
I really enjoyed reading this new to me author, she has a great descriptive way with her words. They draw you in and keep you spellbound until the end. A lovely, warm and tender story.
Jessica Ames creates a unique spin on the online dating world pairing two wonderful characters together after different levels of tragedy struck. This novel is fun, entertaining and the sappiest of romance readers will fall hard and fast for this epic online dating love story.
Set in overseas in Britain, Ames pairs Sadie, a recently jilted bride with Callum, a widower and fisherman who lives in a remote island. Now, if you are a lover of “You’ve Got Mail” you’ll be a huge fan of this novel. Ames creates a romance between message left to each character over the period of a few weeks. Their online chemistry is phenomenal, but will there in person be too?
Ames is a new author to me. Her sweet, heartfelt romance gave me all the feels as it came to life. Her characters were warm, realistic and you couldn’t help but hope that love would find a way between them. If you are looking for a romance that’ll give you heart sighs and leave you full of hope, then make sure you check this one out.
