A tornado chaser with a battered heart. The devastated country boy she left behind. Can they weather a storm of second chances, or will their past destroy them? Lauren Reynolds needs the adrenaline rush that chasing tornadoes brings. Since the death of her parents four years ago, storms are the only time she feels alive. Now she’s determined to land a roving weather reporter job in Tornado Alley, … in Tornado Alley, and she’ll do anything for the position—even return home to Oklahoma and face the country boy she left behind.
Meteorology professor Tanner Erickson is totally over Lauren—at least, he thought he was until he moved back to Sunset Plains. Memories of his high school sweetheart haunt him around every corner. Even after four years, he can’t forgive her self-destructive penchant for chasing funnel clouds, or the way she dumped him in a letter and then disappeared.
When a funeral brings Lauren and Tanner face-to-face again, the chemistry between them is as potent as ever. As they cautiously pick up the broken pieces of their old relationship, another deadly tornado forms in Sunset Plains. And Lauren needs Tanner’s equipment to chase it. Can they weather past hurts to claim a future together, or will it be swallowed by the storm?

A tornado chaser with a battered heart. The devastated country boy she left behind. Can they weather a storm of second chances, or will their past destroy them?
My rating is 4.5 stars
As Lauren ran from the storms of grief that threatened to overwhelm her, she left Tanner devastated in her wake. He had thought he was protecting her yet in the process she was feeling strangled.
While I had a hard time relating to Lauren, I was well able to feel her pain thanks to this compelling story. She sought to draw closer to her parents through chasing storms and thrived on the adrenaline rush it provided.
Tanner, on the other hand, had no desire to be in the storms. I related very well to him! I loved the way the author managed to make him very attractive despite the fact that he was a slightly nerdy professor. Of meteorology! His protective nature and the way he strove to overcome his fears in order to be what Lauren needed were so charming. He wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination. He had a very hard time forgiving Lauren and being able to really listen to her, to see her needs.
I enjoyed this in its original form (Twisters and Textbooks) but I love the new version even more.

I was given a copy of this book for free. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
I received an ARC of book leaving my honest review. I can’t relate to the other reviews that read this story before with a different name, except I too enjoyed this book. Getting to know Tanner n Lauren and what they’d been through for the past 4+ years helped put certain pieces together for me. Career choices, 1 being a teacher, the other loves to chase storms, (pass on that one) grieving over loved ones, 2nd chance with your true love, n more. They finally really understood each other when they worked together n was there for each other. I loved how the epilogue brought more of the story together, giving updates on characters n yet seeing more come from the story.
Lauren ran from Tanner after her parents died chasing the very tornadoes that took their lives. She’s back trying to work her way into a roving weather reporter position by catching footage of tornadoes and their destructive paths in action. She takes a lot of risks in pursuit of her goals, seeing death flash before her eyes several times. As a meteorology professor Tanner enjoys watching storms from the safety of the school’s equipment lab is afraid to let Lauren back in only to lose her permanently.
The Audible narrator added to the intensity of this storm chasing romance with her voice changes and inflections keeping me listening in until the end.
A wonderful well written enjoyable second chance wonderfully narrated romance. This fast paced engaging storyline has humor, twists, drama, angst in a sweet romance. The narrator is a great storyteller who gives such personality and heart to each character with separate voices. A pleasurable romance keeping me interested from start to finish.
Chasing the thrill of a storm, Lauren will stop at nothing to get the job of her dreams. Tanner is a local weatherman who thought he was over his high school sweetheart, until she returns home. I loved how they had similar jobs yet were so different. When they met again, the sparks fly as if they never died out. The chemistry between them quickly drew me into their romance and I could not stop listening. Can Tanner curtail the adrenaline junkie in Lauren? This is one twister of a story that you want to chase.
Tiffany Williams narrates this story perfectly. She brings the chemistry of Lauren and Tanner right off the pages. Ms. Williams is so easy to listen to. I get lost in her narration and the book becomes more of a movie in my mind. Ms. WIlliam’s is always a must listen to for me.
I listened to the audio version of this book.
I really enjoyed Lauren and Tanner’s story. It is a second chance trope, which is one of my favorites.
Ms. Armstrong really did a good job of expressing why things fell apart for the couple the first time and made it seem believable and justifiable. I loved the weather and storm chasing aspect of the book. Ms. Armstrong also did a great job with the description. It may have been unlikely that Lauren survive two direct hits by tornados, but you can’t exactly kill off your main character.
I loved Tanner. His thinking about the relationship was understandable, but his moment of clarity was touching. They really had a great love for each other. Another good, clean romance by Lindzee Amstrong!
The narration by Tiffany Williams was very good–kudos to her for getting the screaming parts across without actually screaming in my ears!
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book. All thoughts are my own.
This was a clean, second chance romance.
I really enjoyed this book. It was relatively drama free, other than the personal drama the couple had between themselves. Lauren & Tanner were high school sweet hearts set to go on to college together until Lauren’s parents were killed in a tornado accident. All of a sudden Lauren – being the emotional (naive) 18 year old she was – needed to get out of town and as far away from her real life as possible instead of dealing with her grief head on. Because Tanner wasn’t thinking along the same lines as her she took off by herself to get her degree and become a tornado chaser. 4 years later they are both in the same town and although Tanner is still in live with her he won’t put himself through watching her walk into danger over and over again because she thinks she can somehow find or feel her parents in every dangerous tornado situation she is in. The story and the audio were both really great. Would love to read/listen to the other books in the series.

Match Me Again
No Match for Love, Book 10
By: Lindzee Armstrong
Narrated by: Tiffany Williams
This is a sweet and enjoyable second chance romance. It is well written and well told. The storylines and characters are interesting and well developed. Lauren Reynolds left town & her boyfriend, Tanner Erickson, after the tragic loss of her parents. The only thing she left him was a note and a broken heart. Four years later she returns to attend a wake for her H.S. teacher where she see Tanner. Lauren never stopped having feelings for him, he claims to finally be over her. But there is definitely something still there. But can he forgive her for how she left him and broke his heart. Can he get past her need to chase tornadoes and the need to feel that thrill she gets from being in the middle of the storm or is her need to be in the midst of the storm something else. This is an entertaining fast paced story, with drama, angst, twisters humor and sweet romance. This book is part of a series but I enjoyed it as a stand-alone. Lindzee Armstrong, thank you for this great story, I am looking forward to checking out the rest of the series.
I listened to the Audible edition, Tiffany Williams is a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality and a lot of heart. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

Match Me Again
No Match for Love, Book 10
By: Lindzee Armstrong
Narrated by: Tiffany Williams
Lindzee Armstrong has the perfect formula for this series, and each time I listen to one, I fall in love all over again. This second chance romance had me completely invested in Tanner and Lauren’s story. Lauren made some rash decisions when dealing with the death of her parents, including leaving Tanner. Now coming back home, the two meet once again at a funeral and the storm between them begins to brew. There are so many parts of this that I love. Both in the field of meteorology leads to a really interesting story. Armstrong shows us the beauty of the storm as well as the danger, letting us feel the adrenaline rush Lauren needs and the fear Tanner has when she goes to get it. More importantly, we get to learn how important the grieving process is when dealing with loss and how seeing things from each other’s perspectives can help you heal. These characters tug your heart strings, and make you look for the sunshine. It’s a great addition to this series.
The voice of Tiffany Williams brings these novels to life. She has a way of adding the inflections to the characters so that I can feel their story. The richness of her voice gives the narration a warm quality and gives that comforting feeling as I listened. I love her narrations and know that when I turn the book on, it’s one I can relax and immerse myself in.

I loved this second chance romance! It was a quick, satisfying read. There were heart-stopping moments, tender moments, romantic moments…all of which were great moments! Lauren is a bit reckless. Tanner is more logical, wanting to help her and protect her. They jump right back into the issues they had four years ago, sending sparks of all kinds flying. I understood where each person was coming from. I was so happy when they finally started seeing things from the other person’s perspective and realized that their love trumped all.
I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.
I enjoyed Twisters and Textbooks but this new, expanded version is even better! Lauren felt lost when her world collapsed with the death of her parents in a tornado. Tanner meant well but, in typical male fashion, he wanted to “fix” things for Lauren. Lauren left abruptly when she could no longer deal with Tanner not listening to her. Now that they are both back in Oklahoma, the sparks still fly when they are together. But Tanner cannot handle Lauren’s need to chase storms. Will they find a way to communicate or will they again be pulled apart? You will have to read this well crafted, clean romance to find out.
All Twisted Up
Each of us deals with grief differently and the pressure of caring from loved ones trying to absorb our pain and “make it better” can be too much to bear. This careful rewrite of an earlier novel explores loss and love tenderly and with open eyes and humor. There are also vivid descriptions of tornadoes–trigger warning for my friends who’ve survived them!
This was a great story that was filled with sadness, action, and love. Lauren found her way back to her home state after leaving unexpectedly ten years prior, leaving behind a broken heart and bad memories. I like Lauren’s willingness to face her past and hope for forgiveness. Tanner was the one left behind with broken heart. Tanner never understood Lauren’s disappearing act or why she couldn’t keep moving forward with her life after the devastating loss of her parents. I like how the sparks fly when the couple is together. They still have the love sparking between them, but a big wall of regret and hurt to overcome. I recommend this book to those that love second-chance romance with a little action in there for fun. I received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
This is a delightful second chance story in which high school sweethearts Lauren and Tanner are suddenly faced with seeing each other four years after she left town without saying goodbye. Lauren had difficulty dealing with her parent’s sudden death in a storm and when she felt that Tanner wasn’t hearing how she felt, she left town. When they both back, he can’t believe get over his fear when Lauren goes to chase after a tornado. Will they be able to explain their feelings to each other, or are they doomed to remain apart?
