Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
I just dodged one massive mistake, and stepped smack dab into an even bigger one.And it all started with a kiss. One unforgettable, scorching hot kiss with Nate Callahan.Which turned into one unforgettable night. And now the big sexy rescuer wants to win me over. And it’s kind of working.Only I’m keeping a huge secret that could tumble into massive mistake … secret that could tumble into massive mistake number three.
Third times the charm, right?
I like my relationships like I like my women, short and sweet.
Only there’s something about Mikki Russo that keeps me coming back for more.
Maybe it’s that sexy southern belle accent.
Or all those feminine curves she shows off proudly.
Maybe it’s the way she kisses…
Or maybe it’s the way she took me in when a rescue went wrong.
All I know is that proving to her that I’m a better man is suddenly my top priority.
Until I found out what she’s been hiding from me.
Now I have to decide if one lie of omission is worth throwing away everything for.

This is a great romance in the Hometown Protectors series with engaging characters and a great story that I just couldn’t put down until I read the last word. I loved the electric chemistry and steamy romance between Nate and Mikki and enjoyed “catching up” with the folks in Tulip, Texas. Ms. Sullivan never disappoints whatsoever and I look forward to reading more from this gifted author. I received an advance reader copy of “Mastering Her Curves” and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Another good addition to this series but I have to give this book a 3.5 in ratings due to many grammatical errors which isn’t like this author at all. This book is about Nate and Mikki and yet again the characters were very enjoyable. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series and I am hoping that Max gets her happily ever after soon.
Really enjoyed this instalment of the Hometown Heroes series. There’s great chemistry between Mikki and Nate and their story is sexy and sweet. Worth reading.
Mastering Her Curves is a contemporary romance by Piper Sullivan. This book is written in first person, alternating point of view format, my least favorite. Other than that item this small town romance was quite entertaining. Mikki moved away from her family and opened her own shop in Tulip. Nate was one of the Hometown Heros the town’s mothers and grandmothers were trying to play matchmaker for. Nate and Mikki’s story is loaded with drama, humor and sizzle. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more from Piper Sullivan. Mastering Her Curves is book 7 of the Small Town Protectors Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
An enjoyable fun entertaining second chance romance. This engaging storyline had me addicted page after page. It had some commitment issues, self doubt, romance, drama, trust issues, surprises, funny circumstances, angst, and love. The characters are realistic and interesting with sizzling hot chemistry. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC and really enjoyed catching up with secondary characters.
Mastering Her Curves by Piper Sullivan is a great book!
I admire Ms. Sullivans writing style, and although there were a few typos in the ARC COPY I received, it did not detract from the overall small town hero story.
Recommended!
Another hometown hero meets his match. Southern Belle Mikki is finally living life on her own terms, moving to Tulip and opening her store gives her the peace she didn’t have back in Mississippi. Nate Callahan is a S&R hero and he likes the ladies but there is something about Mikki that captures his attention. Fate does what the local matchmakers can’t and soon these two have to admit they care. This book is sweet and steamy and full of how not to start a romance.
We are back in the quirky little town of Tulip and the Hometown Heroes are still hard at work with the calendar. We follow Nate and his steep fall into love with newbie resident Mikki. Heartbroken and determined to make her little shop a success and she doesn’t believe in love anymore but slowly Nate works his way into this independent cynical young woman’s life. They have plenty of chemistry but have a steep hill to climb for their HEA. Highly entertaining story.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
Another great one for the Hometown Hero series for Nate and Mikki. Love that these two do everything to try an avoid the attraction, but the matchmakers of this town now exactly when to give a helping hand. Liked how Nate has to step up and be a man, and realize he is can do better than what he grew up with as a child. Mikki is great being an independent woman always willing to see the the bright side and the possibilities.
I voluntarily read this ARC for an honest review.
Mikki and Nate are opposites but well, they keep seeming to end up kissing. And more.
Can they make it work?
Voluntarily reviewed
All it took was just one kiss to change Mikki and Nate’s lives. Mikki is trying to recover from a cheating ex. Nate has no plans to settle down. Unfortunately for the two, fate and the matchmakers of Tulip have other plans. I really liked the story-line but had issues with both Mikki and Nate at times. Still, this was a nice addition to the series.
*I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
This book was a good read from the very first page with the well written storyline and characters that were so well created that I was lured into Mikki and Nate’s journey as it unfolded!
Nate is a hometown hero who doesn’t believe in settling down with one woman. He is scarred from his childhood and the relationship his parents had. Mikki is a transplant in Tulip trying to make a name for herself. She is getting over a broken engagement and a betrayal. One kiss and one night together set them on a collision course. These two are constantly fighting as they each struggle with their demons. With the help of their friends and family they are eventually able to come together and plan a future.
Another great read by Piper Sullivan who once again brings a fun, sexy and entertaining story with strong characters in Mikki and Nate. Their chemistry is hot and steamy , their romance is sweet and I enjoyed reading their story. It’s well written,is brought to life with her detailed scenes, moves quickly and fluidly and I would recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This story will have you cheering on the sidelines for Nate and Mikki. She just go out of a bad relationship and he is commitment phobic. They are captivated with each other but their past is getting in the way. Will they find a way around their hardships to build a bond that will unite them for a happily ever after? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This was not one of my favorite Hometown Heroes books. There was too much antagonism between Nate and Mikki for me to really enjoy this book.I was expecting a romance with some humor, but the H and h seemed to be angry all of the time.
Their friends and family seemed to not be bothered by the tension their relationship brought, although I don’t see how people were not uncomfortable around them.
The last 2 or 3 chapters they seemed to finally like each other, or enjoy being around each other without all of the hurt and anger.
Not a bad story, but I was looking for a lighthearted romance, and I didn’t find it in this book until the very end. I would recommend you read it and judge for yourself.
