Masterful men yum
It’s funny I originally read the second story in this awhile ago. I gave it a 3 at the time. But having now read at least these 5 stories in the series I’m reevaluating that 3. The series is wonderful. But I’ve never really enjoyed reading a series out of order. Now I want to say more about this series but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won’t go into details.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Happily Ever After, Witty, Romantic, Wonderful characters, Page-turner, Great world building, Realistic for the time, Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Action-packed, Steamy, Funny.
Bookshelves/tags:
adult, britain, collection, domestic-discipline, historical, humorous, romance, series, spanking, sweet.

What a fun set of stories. I really liked how each story is connected and you get to visit with characters from all the stories from time to time. What a fabulous choice of stories to put together.
His Colonial Rose made me laugh out loud. She was so against being married off and he disliking women from the colonies. I loved the dogs too. This story has a little bit of everything humor, romance, HEA, and great characters.
Sir Thomas’s Bride
Oh my goodness what a strict gentleman. But oh did he turn his waspish wife into his sweet honey bee. Lady Margaret was such a nasty character but by the end she has changed. Lovely story about the journey to becoming a different person and finding love.
Viscount Weston’s Bride
Poor Imogene and poor Oliver. Her innocence was sweet but combined with her strong will, it became a stumbling block for all involved. The intrigue in the story really raised the bar on this book. Thomas and Oliver created such a web of lies, it took a while to untangle it all. This makes for great reading.
The Colonel’s Bride
Claudia is such a strong and vibrant character. You just have to love her curiosity. Her poor military husband never had a chance. This story had a lot of twists and turns that makes you want to keep reading. Guy’s promise and his mission, almost destroyed their marriage but it made for a fabulous story. I loved the ending.
The Smugglers Bride
This is a seriously good story. I loved the characters and dialogue, along with the descriptive words that brought it all to life in my mind. I won’t give away the plot because I hate it when that happens to me as a reader, but I will say it’s a delightful storyline that had me totally engaged. The author does use big words that required me to keep a dictionary at hand but I appreciate learning new things. The Celtic used brought a realism to the premise. Overall a great read.
A wonderful collection of historic romance and so well written. Love the words.
If you love no nonsense husbands , feisty adventuress women who keep they’re husbands busy taming them with spankings for their naughtiness & vapor gossip the Masterful Husbands Tame Their Wives Series is for you ‼ It’ll keep you entertained & laughing …
This collection of books by Vanessa Brooks is another example of what she excels in: stories that have an alpha male vs a stubborn opinionated female that includes passion, adventure, romance, and of course domestic discipline, that results in many red and sore bare bottoms for the ladies. I also like that she continuously shows that these ladies know and understand that they truly want and need this control by their men, even though they may not at first. But, and this is probably one of the most important points to take away from stories, is that these women are all loved, admired, and protected throughout their ordeals. Always look forward to reading tales about blushing tails on women. (05/23/2018 – This is a voluntary review of a copy of this book from Booksprout.)
