Amanda Bryant has been a spy for five long years, but when aliens suddenly appear claiming a deadly enemy threatens Earth’s very survival, Amanda is asked by her superiors to accept the most dangerous mission of her life…volunteer to be an alien’s bride, to share the strange warrior’s bed and then betray him.
Accepting the assignment, Amanda is processed as the first Interstellar Bride and … Bride and transported halfway across the galaxy to her new mate’s battleship where she awakens to discover she has been matched to not just one huge Prillon warrior, but two.
Shocked by her craving for the touch of two dominant alpha males, Amanda attempts to hide her body’s immediate reaction to Commander Grigg and his second, Rav. Resistance is futile as her new mates expect to control every aspect of her life, and her pleasure, and neither will hesitate to deliver a thorough and embarrassing spanking should she disobey their sensual commands, or resist a complex and deeply arousing series of medical exams designed to ensure her sexual readiness for their claiming.
Seduced and cherished by two alpha alien warriors who hide nothing from her, Amanda quickly comes to realize that the threat to Earth is very real. When she witnesses a battle with the enemy and the resulting death of a highly respected warrior, she knows she must tell her mates the truth and hope they can forgive her for her duplicity before it’s too late.
Loyalties will be tested as Amanda fights the most important battle of her life. How can she protect the warriors she has grown to love and save the people of Earth from making a terrible mistake? Will her human contacts believe her when, with every touch, every look, they will see just how thoroughly she has been mastered by her mates?

Mastered by Her Mates is listed as book six in the Interstellar Brides Program by Grace Goodwin. It can be read as a stand-alone.
I grabbed this as a freebie and sometimes free books work and other times, well, they leave you wondering. This story felt like it was the first book in the series instead of the sixth. Why I say this is; because we are told near the beginning that Amanda is there first in the program for Interstellar Brides.
Mastered by Her Mates is a smoking hot read. Lots of smoke’n sex, but it was lacking in several areas.
To start Amanda Bryant is a spy. If an author is going to make their character a spy or be specific on what they do, then they need to make sure that character has aspects in that field. Amanda is not a spy. She is in words on the page, but she has no spy qualities or anything leading me to believe she is a spy other then the author talks about her job and why she is being sent into outer space.
Next, their is no relationship building. Non! We have lots and I do mean lots of smoke’n hot sex between our three characters M/F/M, but they lack the connection. Our males have been with each other for years, so they have that friend male bonding and concern, but when Amanda comes into the picture we don’t get any building on that relationship.
Then we have the world building. It’s not much. What we do learn about the aliens and this war is interesting.
Last, the plot and backstory weren’t done well. I felt they didn’t add anything to the story and the main issue is put on the back burner or background; until the end of the story where our couple needs to confront, complete, and/or clear it all up; before they can complete their bonding ceremony.
I’ve read Goodwin before and I have to say she’s just not doing it for me. The sex is hot and numerous, but I need more.
Unfortunately, Mastered by Her Mates was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.
Rated: 2 Stars
OMG, just the beginning of the book seemed to be too much. I am now so intrigued that I have to finish the series.
Amazing world and concept.
I am a huge sci-fi fan so this was an amazing treat. Incredibly steamy with their internal emotional battles and insecurities – great characters and world that Grace built.
This author is completely new to me, and she knocked me right off the block alien stories!
She had me drooling to keep reading, of this new world that she had built from her mind. From how they transport the “humans” to space. To how sneaky the government was in the story.
This is an absolutely breath taking story that you will not want to miss. It does not have a cliff hanger. You can purchase the other books but do not need too. This has a happy ever after. But with lots of twists that keep you entertained.
I highly recommend this book, loved it.
Love everything from this author!
I loved all the books in this series. The world built by the author is intriguing and realistic. The Prillon Prime warriors were my favorite of the bunch. If this is what an interstellar bride program looks like, sign me up!!!!
Totally out there, but loved it.
When Earth doesn’t believe that there is an alien threat, they decide to send their spy Amanda in to investigate using the bride program. She learns things are much different than they seem to be on Earth. She also has strong feelings for her chosen mates. Will she have to choose between Earth and her mates, or will she find peace with both? I really liked the story and it had interesting character’s.
My first book by this author. I was wonderfully surprised! Will definitely by an author/series I will read more of!
I loved the story line. There actually was one! Some are just erotica no story.
I loved the way she poked at the political people in a GREAT way. They are all to big for there britches. Fighting over an inch of land. Pounding there chests and bellowing like they actually knew what they are talking about and don’t, (sound familiar?). You go girl! Just so you don’t misunderstand, the erotica is also Great.
Great start to a wonderful series from Grace Goodwin. Each book is not a cliffhanger and has a storyline. If you do not want to read erotica, this is not for you. However, this is one of her first ones. Give it a try.
Very entertaining book, fantasy with strong characters Very easy to read.
This was a good menage story. It was unpredictable. The sex scenes were steamy and many throughout the book. There were actions scenes and the female was strong throughout too. I would recommend it to others.
A wonderful witty futuristic read with steamy characters.
Hottest book I’ve read in the erotic romance sci-Fo genre!
It needed a deeper plot.
I have to agree with the comments that there was no romance, just sex. And the mates just wanted to claim her. There was no attempt to woo her. A good romance does that. There has to be an attempt to get to know the person before the wham, bam, thank you ma’am.
Decent detailed story line/ scenery, explicit sex scenes, emotions that come through the writing, and characters that are easily liked all made for a great read.
This book follows Amanda as she is processed as one of the first interstellar brides. She is to be matched to a mate and has 30 days to accept or not accept his claim. Several catches, 1-she can never return to earth- if she doesnt like the match, she can be rematched to a different mate until she finds one who fits. 2- she’s actually a spy for the US government sent on a mission to retrieve any and all information, equipment, etc that she can from the battleship where she’ll be living and she it back to help them defend against the supposed threat ( the hive). 3- she hadn’t planned on actually falling in love with her mates
This was the first book I have read by Grace Goodwin so I had no idea what to expect. Amanda is a spy on earth and as part of her job is sent through the Interstellar Bride Program to spy on aliens and send the information back to earth. She doesn’t really know what to expect but it isn’t being matched to 2 alpha males, Grigg and Rav. Doesn’t take long to realize that the threat to earth is real and she must tell her intended mates why she is really there.
We get a little bit about the characters pasts but it would be nice to have some more development. Interesting concept will be looking to see how the others play out. This is a hot, steamy book so if that is what your looking for then start reading.
This was the first book I had ever read by Grace Goodwin. I went into Mastered by Her Mates with zero expectations, and really enjoyed reading the book.
Amanda is an excellent heroine, who thinks things through and knows when she is bested. She listens to her heart, but deals in all situations with her mind.
Grigg is Amanda’s first Mate. A broken, dominant Prillon, he is looking for the love he has always needed. Not expecting to find it in Amanda, he accepts the mating for their second’s sake.
Rav is Amanda’s second Mate. A medical Prillon, he is needing the love that he can find in a Mate. He also finds that same platonic love in Grigg.
The three of them come together to create a glorious triad of care, concern, and understanding. All is great, except that Amanda is a human spy, sent to the Prillon’s to extract all the information she can and give it to her contacts.
I love how Grigg and Rav deal with Amanda’s mission, and how Amanda reacts when faced with the truth. The Prillons, and other races, are here to protect Earth from the Hive invasion. There is hope, faith, and trust between the three of them that is inspiring.
I can’t wait to dive into another one of Grace’s books!
