When life goes wrong, can it ever be made right?Five years ago, Sabrina left Boston anticipating her stay back home to be full of joy and hope. Instead, she became the leading role in her own living hell. Nothing more than a shadow of her former self, she escapes a malevolence determined to break her, and returns to Boston, trying to regain a semblance of the girl she once was.The girl without … girl she once was.
The girl without nightmares.
The girl without shame and fear.
Five years ago, Chase lost his heart and has compared every woman he encounters to the green-eyed beauty he met on the yacht. His life didn’t turn out quite the way he expected, but he has grown stronger through his trials. Now, a marriage deadline is looming and the woman he wants seems to be a ghost trapped in his past.
Fate brought them together. Evil tore them apart.
Can Chase lead Sabrina into the light before she’s lost to the darkness forever?
***Please note this is Part Two of a three-part series. It must be read in order, or nothing will make any sense.

This story just got insane. Insanely good? Yes. But also insanely insane!
Sabrina was still learning about who and what she was. This young woman had been victimized in some of the most horrific of ways. Now free to live her life, she in no way is enjoying her freedom. She’s constantly scared that her life will be stolen right from under her. And when Chase makes it back into her life, she’s not ready. Chase wants to conquer her, protect her, fight for her, but she’s beyond resistant. She’s afraid and when you’re afraid of the unknown, it’s hard to let someone else convince you to trust them with your fears.
With forces out to get their hands on her, Sabrina cannot be left unprotected. Luckily she’s got Chase and crew of merry men to save the day. Again. But what does that mean for the potential future of Chase and Sabrina?
Seriously, this story was all over the place and got downright freaky and I liked it! Chase’s character went through a transformation that I wasn’t expecting, but somehow it didn’t change the way I felt about him. I still admired him even though I was confused by his proclivity for the Brotherhood’s activities.
So this story was incredibly hot, incredibly dramatic, and incredibly fun in the worst of ways. I can’t wait to see how Sabrina grows into her half-immortal life and how she comes to accept all that it entails.
5 I just want to be Normal Stars
Attn!!! You must read book 1 (Master of My Body) before diving into this twisted story! This is a Dark Read series that has a lot of triggers. If you do not read dark, stay away from these books!!! This is book 2 of a 4 book series that must be read in order.
Sabrina…the young ballerina that just wants to be a ‘normal’ person. This unfortunately is not in the stars for her. Born a Koriathanati she is a very dangerous woman. She has strengths, strong sexual desires far from being a ‘normal’ woman.
Chase fell in love way back the first time he met Sabrina. Disappearing from his life for years, will he ever get her back? How in the world can he not find her?
This story just keeps going on…you are pulled in like the forces that are after Sabrina!
Will Sabrina ever learn that Freedom and contentment doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive?
Will she finally realize that her choices in life are already dictated?
Can she survive the Manor and what that will bring?
OMG I need book three like immediately!!!

Wow! Just Wow!!!
I think I might be wordless for the moment. It was so good to be reading another book by Marissa Honeycutt. I feel like it has been forever since Finding Sabrina Book 1 in the Finding Sabrina Series.
If you love “Dark Reads” then I would say this book and The Life of Anna are MUST READS! They are truly very very good books! Page Turners for sure! But, not for the faint of heart! These are pretty dark and detailed books to read!
Damian Sinclair is back! Sabrina doesn’t know who he really is and you will have to read this book to know what I mean. Master of My Heart is deliciously dark! Bad things happen to innocent’s like Sabrina. And, how she can take the things that happen to her I DON’T KNOW. Other than she is immortal.
I loved reading Master of My Heart and I hope that we don’t have to wait so long for the next book in this series. Although, I don’t have a choice about that. I just know that I will be waiting on pins and needles until Book 3 is out.
I loved the story, love reading this authors books and I give 5 “deliciously dark stars”.
Ohhhh Sabrina. I feel so bad for her. I’m loving this series though. Marissa’s books are definitely not full of hearts and roses. Know that you’re getting into dark and twisted stuff here. Book 2 of a 4 book series and you have to read book 1 first… Master of my Body
OK… so there is a reason that Marissa Honeycutt is one of my all time FAVORITE authors, and this book continues to prove why! I loved The Life of Anna, so when Master of My Body came out, naturally, I inhaled that without even tasting it. LOL Master of My Heart was my most anticipated release thus far this year and reading it was almost as good as having sex! The dark twisted depravity of the story was so deliciously written. The angst level in this book is OFF the charts! This is one of those books that you take off work on release day so that you can indulge in the wonder and thrill of the world that Marissa has created for her characters, who by the way, love making cameo appearances in other books! So if you haven’t read The Life of Anna, I highly recommend you do, so that you can have a better understanding and love for the characters that I was so happy to read more about. I don’t want to give any spoilers about the book away, but I can tell you that you are in for one hell of an emotional ride when you dive into one of Marissa’s books. Buckle Up, there are twists and turns where you least expect them!
This book starts right of where Master of her Body ended.
Sabrina has escaped. But while she is physical free, the last 5 years have left deep scars and changed her forever.
Just like Anna my heart just breaks for Sabrina. After what has been done to her she doesn’t expect any kindness and is so happy with the little things in life. And I just love all the ballet scenes.
She is trying to get her life back on track, but her Master will not let her go easily.
I also loved getting to know more about Chase and what he had been up to in the last years. He is an amazing guy and perfect for Sabrina. Just like Sabrina he carries scars with him.
And I enjoyed learning more about the Brotherhood and what changes had been made after Anna.
I can’t wait to read what happened next.
I just love reading the dark, twisted, messed up stories of The Brotherhood! Marissa Honeycutt never disappoints!
This reads alot like Life of Anna, but it’s more a continuation of that storyline, with different main characters. You still get to see some familiar faces though, like Tom and Tommy. I always did love them! This story will make your heart break for Sabrina though, she’s been through so much. Chase has too, and I adore him. I love that he’s friends with Alex too. I’m really hoping to see Sabrina and Anna team up and kick some butt…I think that would be great! LOL.
I can’t wait to read the next book. These books just totally take over when I read them and I don’t want to put them down, don’t want to read anything else…they’re my favorite! I wish she’d write another 20 books in this storyline!!
Once again we are sucked into the insanity that is Sabrina’s life.
Right after the carnage at the end of the last book, Sabrina tries to get back to safety. For a short time it seems as if she manages to lead a relatively normal life but all too soon her past rears its ugly head and she has to fight outside forces and her own twisted perception again.
Fortunately friends and colleagues gather around her and try to make sense of her strange reactions, her nightmares.
But even though they all try to help, the nightmare begins again.
Once again she is sucked into a maelstrom of cruel depravity.
Being rescued by Chase and his friends, she gains the protection of powerful allies and begins to learn about herself, about the forces that are protecting her and about the Brotherhood and their practices and expectations.
It seems as if the love story between Chase and Sabrina is finally able to begin to grow.
Until……!
This is a four book series and this is book two, you must read book one to fully understand the story. If you have read this author ’s very first series The Life of Anna you will know that her books are not all hearts flowers these are Dark reads.
Once again, Marissa has my emotions all over the place; she knows how to get you hooked on her words. This series is starting to blow me away. This author always has a great storyline and it has you guessing until the final book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat leaving you wanting more and more.
I do love this author writing she knows how to make you feel like you are right there with these characters so much depth too them. We meet some new characters too. Some you will like others not so much.
I do not want to say much about the book, just know that in this book we learn more about Chase I really liking Chase he is close to me liking him more than Alex but just not yet. Lots of action in this book a lot happens.
I loved Sabrina in this one. but my heart broke for her. I do love this author writing she knows how to make you feel like you are right there with these characters so much depth to them.
These books are dark and twisted if you cannot handle these then this book is not for you. However, if you Love dark and twisted this book is defiantly for you.
Bring on book three cannot wait.
As always this author delivers a dark twisted tale of one woman’s descent into the realm of the Immortals, the Elders and the Brotherhood. All Sabrina wants to do is dance, it’s what she loves and is what she was born to do. Starting where book one left us hanging with Sabrina being kidnapped she fights her way to freedom and makes her way back to Boston and to the man who captured her heart when she was just 16 years old. Unfortunately for Sabrina there are dark forces conspiring against her as she learns she has powers far greater than anyone else that these unseen forces want for themselves by controlling her.
If you have read The Life of Anna you will know what a crazy, dark, twisted world this author has created. There are a crossover of old characters and some new. But this spin off takes on a whole new meaning of far out wacky. It’s dark and not for the faint hearted. It’s not a problem if you haven’t read Life of Anna because this author does a great job of explaining how the hierarchy of the Immortals work and how the whole crazy notion that there are a secret power controlling and influencing the political world and people of influence.
This book has every genre possible thrown at it; horror, fantasy, romance, psychological thriller. It’s a must read for dark romance lovers that search out trigger warnings!
Marissa Honeycutt gives a book that is impossible to put down. It dragged me right into the pages and wouldn’t let me go even when I almost wished it would. The words just twist the soul and heart.
The character development continued to build. While the author poured so much into Sabrina and Chase, it is even more phenomenal the amount of depth she adds to the secondary characters. As Marissa Honeycutt presents the most detailed world possible, it means quite a cast of characters. Yet each one was vivid. Between that level of detail on character development and world building, the author transforms words into what passes for reality.
The storyline itself is dark, depraved, cruel and yet so absolutely perfect. I was on the edge of my seat as the author excelled at throwing in curves. It is an original premise, which I really love and her words flow naturally. I can’t imagine what will happen in book 3 and can only say that I need it!
5 stars for cringe-worthy darkness, heart stopping suspense and captivating read!
This book was a heavy dose of insane! It reminds me a lot of The Life Of Anna simply because it’s in the same world with Immortals and Elders but it’s also different. Sabrina doesn’t even know what she is, she’s learning new things not only about herself but a whole new world. She’s learning what’s right and what’s wrong and things that aren’t her fault that she previously blamed herself for. She’s been not only abused physically but also very much so mentally and emotionally and has to come to terms with not just what she is but also who she is and who she wants to be. Chase is amazing! An Elders-son who knows his place and knows what he wants but wants to let Sabrina choose the life she wants with what freedom she is allowed. But evil is not done with Sabrina and he’s coming for her.
I loved this book as much as a person is allowed to love such a dark and depraved book lol! A lot was packed into this part of Sabrina’s story and I couldn’t put it down!
Welcome back to Sabrina’s life. And all she wants is a normal one. Yea, that’s not gonna happen honey.
Guess who’s back, Chase!! Pining over Sabrina, his love life has basically been at a standstill. Waiting and hoping to find his beautiful ballerina.
What will happen when he finally finds her? Will she be the same girl who stole his heart all those years ago?
If you know this author, then you know what to expect. A dark ride that just keeps getting darker the deeper you delve into it.
This spinoff from The Life of Anna is deliciously dark! It’s a psychological trip filled with evil machinations and twisted desires. Sabrina wants to find her true self, but she’s afraid of what she’ll find and whether she’ll be worthy. Vamar is up to no good, and Chase is just omg so good! I am quickly becoming invested in this series and need to see it through to the final conclusion!
Love it! Ready for book 3
Ack. This girl is driving me absolutely bonkers. She is too stupid for words. I can’t take her anymore. I mean, I thought in the first book she was just young, naïve. After 5 years of having every depraved thing inflicted on her and she’s still that naïve?! I don’t think so. I really wanted to find out how this resolves itself, but I can’t bring myself to continue. Very disappointing. Truly. Every single other character is fascinating except for her. She’s just… too stupid for all of these men to be interested in her. Ack.
Another deliciously dark and twisted read
*You should read book one first to get the full impact of this story*
I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a spin-off series from the Life of Anna that continues the darkness that is the Brotherhood – and I was not disappointed – this is the second book in Sabrina’s story and to say it is emotionally draining is truly an understatement
There are so many hidden twists and unknowns, many of my favorite characters from Anna are back and they play very predominate rolls in Sabrina’s story
Sabrina is trying to find her way to the one man whose memory has kept her sane – She knows she has a darkness within her and she fears that he will no longer love the woman she has become – by no fault of her own, mind you – it is the result of years of torment and unspeakable cruelty that have twisted her once vibrant innocence into the dark servant she is today
It is hard to describe this series – It is an emotionally trying, and at times devastating read – definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and fighting my inner child who wanted to peek at the next page to relieve some of the tension (there were times I wanted to scream, others I cried). A perfect blend of devastation, and hope -enabling us to see the beauty that lies just beneath the dark and broken surface
There are very dark elements within this story – both psychological and physical that will have the most seasoned of dark readers cringing
Not so patiently awaiting book three
EEEEPPPP!!! Oh my goodness! Once again, Marissa Honeycutt has enthralled me. I could not put this down once I started.
Ahh! This story! I need more! But, it’s not just Chase and Sabrina that have captivated me this time, it’s everyone! The characters in this story are all so incredible. I love the Brotherhood. This story has many layers and many emotions. It’s complex, and disturbing at times, and makes you feel.
I love Chase and Sabrina’s connection! It’s so powerful. And master! I just don’t know how they are going to defeat him. I’m so anxious for the next book!
The writing is so good. It’s told in so much detail, and while there are some details you may not want, it really adds to the emotional aspect of the story. You grow with Sabrina, you feel everything she’s going through and continues to go through, her apprehension, her fears. You feel all of the characters and their emotional stock as well. There’s so much hope and love. Oh Chase, what a character we have here. He’s so understanding and will do everything he can to protect Sabrina.
This dark, compelling thriller will keep you riveted until the end! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book!
So good!! This series is dark Marissa at her best.
Having read Marissa Honeycutt’s books before, and loving them, I knew this was going to be dark. I thought that having read Life of Anna that I could probably guess what was going to happen. But then I read the first installment of Sabrina’s story. Then I read this one. I’m thinking that Anna might look at Sabrina and feel sorry for how hard she has it.
After being missing for 5 years, Sabrina managed to escape and has made it back to Boston. She wants to find Chase. It isn’t until she gets to Boston when she realizes that maybe he’s married, and she doesn’t want to ruin his life. She’ll just go try out for the ballet company and hope that she can stay away from Chase and his family.
Chase has spent the last several years trying to find Sabrina, but after so long, his hope has faded. But when he finds out that she’s back in Boston, his hope flares.
I knew that this book was a serial, since that’s how Marissa Honeycutt tends to write this particular world. However, that doesn’t mean that I didn’t want to curse her name at the end of the book. Poor Sabrina. I’m so devastated for her. I’m so angry for her. She’s had to go through more things than any one person should. But, she’s also a lot stronger than she thinks she is. I would love to see Anna get together with Sabrina and help her out a little because Anna is probably the only person living who could come close to understanding what’s going on. Chase is a good and honorable man. I think that he’s so good for Sabrina. She trusts him and I hope that she can let that trust carry her through.
The next entry in Sabrina’s story cannot come soon enough for me.
