Deklan Kelly comes from a family of well-known attorney’s, and growing up his parents told him that’s what he wanted to be, too. Privately, he wished he could spend his days sketching and painting the beauty of life instead of wheeling and dealing with dregs of humanity.Sky Clarke hides behind the walls of her families’ home protecting women and children from abusive partners. She is devoted and … devoted and passionate to her cause, and will do anything for her clients, even break the law to protect them. What she won’t do is put up with annoying attorneys.
When Sky finds Deklan innocently sketching on her property, the two of them get thrown together into a spiral of events that will keep them both on their toes.
Will Deklan finally be able to remove the mask and be the man he truly wants to be for Sky, or will she run from the passion he wants to give her because she’s afraid to remove her own mask?

Deklan has always done what his father wanted him to do. Sky locks herself away from the world helping women and children in need. Deklan is trying to live both sides but knows he must make a decision soon. I love that Sky’s friends finally tell her like it is, exactly what I would have said to her. And we get to revisit with our Celebration favorites.
I’ve gobbled up every single Celebration book! I’m so not ready for this series to be over. But I have to say, his one may have been one of my favorites! My heart always love a strong female lead. And that’s exactly what Sky is. Fierce and strong and not ready to let someone in even thought Deklan is so ready to be that guy. And let me say, Deklan? He’s perfect. He’s got a secret ambition that will let you know just the kind of man he is. When they give each other a chance they are perfect! Add in the visits from the rest of the characters in this town and you won’t be disappointed! Every single time I visit Celebration I’m never ready to leave!!
I really wished I could visit Celebration. This town appeals to me on so many levels as I read each book and none more so than in this book. If you have read any of the other books in The Celebration Series you know that while you do not HAVE to read any other book to enjoy any one book… by reading the other books in the series you will the books so much more.
This book is based around Sky’s shelter or underground home as it is that she runs for domestic violence and abuse victims (women and children). We got to meet Sky is book 10 “Working with Wheels” and now we really get to know her and why she does what she does.
We also get to know more about handsome DA Declan Kelly. I always knew there was more to him than just his friendship with Thad and being a lawyer and boy do we discover all the is and outs about Delcan in this book. From his family to his hidden secrets. I have to say the phrase “Still waters run deep” comes to mind when i read this book.
In case you have not read any of the books let me just share like any small town Celebration is no different… Everyone knows everything or at least they try too. They even use social media to spread the word…sound familiar? And yes there is always one person who seems to know it all and that is Missy.
But it is not all about Sky and Declan…oh no Stacy Eaton gives us a well written book with a storyline that does touch deep in my heart because of family history. It allows us to catch up with so many of our friends that live in and around Celebration and knowing that there are only 2 more books left in the series scheduled at this point; those of us who devour Celebration books soak them in and wait for more as they come out with baited breath.
Deklan works for the District Attorney’s office and has a secret passion for taking photographs and painting. Sky owns the Rising Sun, a mansion that she turned into a safe haven for abused women and children. They meet when Deklan trespasses on her property and even though there’s immediate chemistry between them, Sky’s not happy that he’s trespassing! Can they overcome their pasts to get a HEA like the rest of their friends in Celebration? This was one of my favorites in the series so far!
