Mason (Trinity Academy Book 2)

OMG!! I was counting, not lying, COUNTING the days until this book showed up. That cliffhanger from book one liked to killed me.

So… The boys are back! If you read my review for Falcon you know that I fell hard and fast for this series. Now, I will be honest, of all the characters, Mason was probably my least favorite. In the first book, that is. Oh Mason!! Hold on while I fan myself a minute.
Man Y’all! I knew this series was for me and I was gonna like it in the first book, but Michelle Heard ensured that I fell so much farther down the Trinity Academy rabbit hole that I could have possibly imagined with Mason’s book. I’m starting to have anxiety and withdrawals at the thought of Lake’s book be the last.

Michelle hear the cry of this poor southern girls heart and bless it. It can’t end! It just can’t. We’ve still got Preston! He needs a book for sure and Julian, he needs one too.
I love this authors writing y’all and I have been swept away into this little world that is Trinity Academy and CRC Holdings and I don’t want to let it go.

Now, I absolutely love Kingsley! She is feisty and owns it. She fits in and doesn’t at the same time. I love that so much. Mason has had a really hard tragic thing happen to him. So in turn he scares the hell out of everyone with his mean and vicious attitude. Except for those closest to him, most are terrified of him.

Kingsley isn’t scared nor intimidated by him. Does he make her hotter than biscuits and gravy? Um, Hells Yeah he does! But she has backbone and has no problem throwing anything he throws her way right back at him.

This book has so many twists and turns, tons of angst and suspense. I hate spoilers and this whole series is connected so I will just say…If you haven’t read Falcon. Start there. Then read Mason. They are both MUST READS! You will get them done just in time for Lake’s book, because of course this ends on another gut churning cliffhanger!

This second book in the Trinity Series is about Mason. He’s the broody, alpha, jokester type of friend who wants nothing to do with relationships. Then Kingsley enters the picture and blows all his thoughts out the window! Not that he would let her know that. These two are a match made in Heaven in more ways than one! Their interactions will at times make you laugh. You will also note that while Mason is rough around the edges, he is loyal to a fault and will do anything for those he loves. I truly enjoyed this story and can’t wait for the next book. All these main characters will embed themselves into your heart. A truly brilliant series!

From the start I’ve had a favorite in this series (Lake) and after the ending in Falcon I couldn’t wait to dive in and find out just what was in store next at Trinity Academy. Mason and Kingsley took me by surprise and completely played with my emotions and I loved every moment of their captivating story.

I wasn’t prepared for Mason Chargill to catch my attention and steal a piece of my heart like he did. A beautiful, dark angel with a hidden heart of gold Mason’s past has left him a bit broken. Learning more about him broke my heart and made me love him so much more. I absolutely loved his protective nature and how once things clicked for him he was all in.

I adored Kingsley from the first book and would love to have a sidekick like her. Sassy, witty, fun and kindhearted she was such a breath of fresh air. I loved when she squared off and went toe-to-toe with Mason and how I never knew what was going to fly out of their mouths next. Their witty and heated exchanges kept me laughing out loud and hanging on to every word.

This series has definitely become a quick favorite of mine due to such amazing characters. I loved the brotherhood between Falcon, Mason and Lake and love seeing them interact together. After the last two books I’ve quickly realized the author is the new Queen of Hangovers with the endings that keep my jaw dropping in shock and a bit impatiently waiting for the next book. I can only imagine what’s in store next for my Lake!

Mason and Kingsley this book put my heart thur the ringer of up and downs and so many hwartbreaking moments I couldn’t put it down. With each page I read I wanted to help piece these two together myself. Will they be able to overcome what they have to go thur to find their happy ending or with orther people try and keep them apart? I so can’t wait to read the next book. This author knows how to twist you up and slowly unwind you and keep you wanting more

Mason has a ton of baggage, he lost his sister in an auto accident, he harbors guilt that he could of saved his sister but didn’t. Even though there is no reason for Mason to feel the way he does, it was an accident. He still harbors these feelings and they keep him locked behind a mask that he portrays to the world.

While he enjoys giving Kingsley a hard time, he slowly begins to enjoy having her around and having someone put him in his place when need be. But, it takes almost losing Kingsley to make him realize that he has feelings for her.

Mason Chargill is the complete ass that you want to love. You want to break through his tough exterior and get to the gooey center.
And this book does just that. In book one he is cocky and arrogant but you know there is a reason behind the way he acts.
His friends are loyal and would die for Mason, so you know there is something good in there – somewhere. This book dives you right into what makes Mason tick and in the end you fall completely head over heels in love with him.

The trauma of his past and what makes him Mason is gut wrenching and at times heartbreaking to read.
Not even going to lie, I cried. I cried a lot at the pain Mason was feeling and what it took for him to face his trauma.
He is such a complex character that you just can’t wait for him to open his heart and let Kingsley in.

Kingsley Hunt doesn’t come from old money. In fact, trying to find her place at Trinity hasn’t been easy. She knows she doesn’t fit into their world. But she is going to make the most of what she has. Kingsley has become best friends with Layla. Falcon’s girlfriend, which puts her right in the firing line for Mason. But, Kingsley just doesn’t take Mason’s crap from the get go. She dishes everything he gives right back to him. She also makes you want to become her best friend and hang out and eat snacks all day.

I love that all of the main characters are completely loyal to each other. That no matter what they are there for each other.
This series has been a whirlwind of emotions. You know those cocky rich guys that you want to hate. But once you crack their inner circle you start to realize that they have their own issues and problems. And they deal with them on a daily basis just like everyone else. I have completely fallen for the men of Trinity Academy!

I just want to add that Michelle Heard has now become the reigning queen of cliffhangers. Book ones cliffhanger was like UGH…. Ok… Can’t wait for book two.
But this books cliffhanger left me shocked and bewildered and cursing Queen Heard. Because seriously – who does that to someone! I mean I should have expected
It but absolutely did not see it coming – flying out of left field to smack me right in the face. Well played… Well played….

Mason has just turned up the heat and charisma quite a few notches in Trinity Academy series. If the first book Falcon got you hooked to this world, Mason will make you a straightforward addict. Intense. Hot. Explosive . Passionate. Adrenaline rush. Michelle Heard has written an amazing story.

Mason is the brooding, dark one with a short fuse. He is hiding a lot of pain behind his asshole routine. He loses his mind over every little thing that threatens his family and friends. And Kinsley is fast becoming one in his heart even if he denies it. Oh the enemies to lover romance came out in finest quality. The chemistry was burning my device. Kinsley is a sassy, sweet, lively and fierce woman who takes no shit from Mason. They collide and fireworks of emotions come out. But Kinsley is breaking his wall and Mason does not hate it exactly.

The story is full of secrets and twists. My heart was lodged at my throat all the time. The apprehension of something sinister is going to happen was niggling at the back of my mind. I freaking love Mason. He is angry with the world and can come across cruel and rude. But he can lay his life for Kinsley. When his protective side comes out, that made me fall in love harder. And when his super confident and uber bossy attitude took revenge for Kinsley, I was gone! But that ending was awfully cruel.

Mason by Michelle Heard was an exciting and sexy adventure. I loved every minute of this unique love story!

This series is blowing my mind and pulling at my emotions! The second book in the Trinity series gives us Mason and his story does not disappoint. Mason has a very prickly outer shell to keep people, except for Falcon and Lake that is, away ever since he lost his sister. Enter Kensley, the one woman who has a snowball chance of breaking through that shell but it wont be easy at all. Where Mason is closed off, angry and growly Kensley is fun loving, no filter and will stand up for those she care about, which include Mason even if he scares her at first. The path that these two travel is full of things that push Mason out of the past and fly him straight into the present. I loved going on the journey with these two and am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one, Lake’s story.

I am so glad I did not have to wait long for this book because after reading Falcon I was really intrigued by Mason. He is broody, rude, arrogant, and so much more that I had to find out why he was the way he was and what Kingsley was going to do about it.

Michelle did not disappoint me she had me on the edge of my seat right till the end and I was like OMG no way this does not end like that but it did and I am so happy that I read this book.

Mason is mean and rude and everything else to Kingsley but she is strong and determined to break through those walls Mason has put up. She is determined to find out why he is the way he is and when she does the chemistry she knew was there sparked like a fire cracker and these two were explosive. They had their love hate relationship but in the end love won out.

WOW, just WOW! There is so much going on that I devoured this book in one go, I started it late at night and didn’t put it down until the wee hours of the morning not caring what I have to do today. Kingsley and Mason have this crazy relationship where they goad one another and actually enjoy doing it, it’s sort of like foreplay without either of them realizing that’s what it is.

Mason has been through a lot and in this book we find out just how devastating his past has been. No he wasn’t abused, but his sister had died in a car accident which we know because it was mentioned several times in the first book, but in this book we find out just how things played out and how it truly messed with him. MY HEART BROKE for him.

Falcon (Trinity Academy Book 1) ‘s book ended on a cliffhanger and this book picks up right where that one left off and we find out what happens when the snow comes tumbling down. I won’t spoil anything but I will say that it sets Mason on a new path, one that was fun to watch even though at times I had tears rolling down my cheeks from the sadness but then there were times it was from the laughter, so I guess it balanced out.

This trilogy must be read in order: Falcon (Trinity Academy Book 1) , Mason (Trinity Academy Book 2) , and then Lake, each story is a continuation of the one prior but no worries because you will not be waiting long for them to be released, books one and two are out now and book three will be out next week. Yes, Michelle Heard has done readers justice with releasing all three books in three weeks so when you finish one you can grab the next. I would highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys NEW ADULT ROMANCE that will steam up your kindle, this books will have you falling in love with each of the men and the woman that steal their hearts.
