“You’re my assistant.”The magic words every girl at Trinity Academy are dying to hear. But I’m the one who gets stuck with Mason Chargill, the star of most women’s fantasies but my nightmare. One of the heirs to CRC Holdings, he might be dangerously gorgeous, but his cold and callous demeanor makes him an ice prince. He expects me to abide by the Academy’s hierarchy, to be at his constant beck and … hierarchy, to be at his constant beck and call.
Yeah, right… hell will freeze over before that ever happens.
Unfortunately for him, I’m no pushover.
Unfortunately for me, he’s determined to break me.
If only there were a way to melt that shard of ice, he calls a heart.

Firstly, I am so glad I didn’t have to wait six months for this book in the series. I had just finished Falcon and I was beyond eager to start Mason. The ending of Falcon had me hanging but not for long… So I honestly went crazy a little bit…
After reading book one to this series, I knew book two was going be without a doubt just as amazing as the first… Well actually, I think I loved this book and Mason’s story a little more than Falcon’s.
In book one we got a glimpse at Mason and Kingsley and these two had a complex love/hate relationship… The moment they were introduced into book one, I was intrigued and I knew I needed to know more, and was excited to see what the author had up her sleeve for these two and as anticipated, it was beyond amazing.
Mason was such a strong character to me in book one, so in his own book… I fell for this boy hard and fast. His story is rough and after a devastating and tragic past… It’s left the guy pretty cold, heartless and emotionless in away. His past impacted his life a lot, even though he is still young… It has torn his life and his family apart, which leaves him trusting and depending on his best friend and the support he gets from them… And what gets him through it all is the constant battles with his worst enemy.. It felt as though that got him through most days.
He knew the moment he met Kingsley that there was a connection between the two of them… But he was doing everything he could to avoid the growing connection and the intensifying feelings. When his life takes a turn and is put at risk, it’s slammed him hard that he can’t run away from these feelings he has for this girl…
Kingsley was sassy, she was witty and fun, but truth be told she was frightened of Mason, and how he treated her and how he treated pretty much everyone in his life… But even though that fear was there, she handled him well. She didn’t let him treat her like a doormat, she stood up for herself, and once the light was shed on why he is the way he is… She got more understanding of why he’s so closed off, why he treats people the way he does and why he does the things he does.
These two were everything that screamed opposite of each other…Yet, when together with the chemistry, the push, and pull, the insane intense connection between these two was so evident. I knew from the moment these two were introduced into the storyline that they were meant to be…Something about them sucked me in and I was completely consumed by their love/hate relationship and of course, that love/hate turned into insane desire, lust, and passion that I devoured in less than a day!
And of course, and I shouldn’t be surprised… THAT ENDING? GAH!!
The author knows how to keep me on my toes, with a million and one questions running through my head.
I cannot recommend this series enough! So far I am completely addicted to it and can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.
5 Stars!
4.5 Stars
Mason Chargill is one of the heirs to CRC Holdings along with his best friends Falcon Reyes and Lake Cutler. When he was younger he was in a car accident with his sister Jennifer who died in the accident and he still holds guilt over the accident and not being able to save her.
Kingsley Hunt is best friends with Layla Shepard who is dating Falcon Reyes. She is also Mason’s “assistant” and the two are injured in a skiing accident and both realize they that they have feelings for one another.
Yet as Mason and Kingsley begin to get closer they realize that there are certain individuals who will due whatever is necessary to get closer to Mason, either to destroy him or to improve their own life.
Can Mason, Falcon and Lake stay one step ahead to protect CRC Holdings and themselves?
This is such a great series so far and I really hope that we get more books with these characters!
Mason was probably the “coldest” of the three friends yet he was super protective of those closest to him. He was extremely loyal and I loved his dedication to the plan that he, Falcon and Lake worked out. I love the changes within his own family in this book as they finally dealt with the death of Jennifer and realizing that they needed to move on.
Kingsley was awesome and I loved her friendship with Layla from the first book. They had an incredible bond and I liked that it even got stronger in this book. I loved her relationship with Mason and how it progressed fast but still had some ups and downs.
I was shocked that Serena made another appearance in this book and still wasn’t ready to give up her chance to marry someone associated with CRC Holdings. I liked that she came clean about another event and now Mason is on the warpath.
I really liked that we got to see more Preston in this book and I really hope that he gets his own book as I loved his sleuthing!
The end was great and I can’t wait for Lake’s book!! – By Rebecca
In this second book of the Trinity Academy series, we find out why our Hero, Mason, is always so quick to get into a fight, and why his two best friends/pseudo brothers, Falcon and Lake, are always there to gently ease him down off the “cliff”. We met our heroine, Kingsley, in the first book when she became Falcon’s girlfriend, Layla’s best friend. Since the two are always together, Mason decides to make Kingsley his personal assistant and has her running crazy errands for him, which in turn riles her up. Although this story takes place at an elite college, many of the villains/villainesses’ actions can be compared to things the “mean girls” would pull in high school. Although Mason and Kingsley self-proclaim their annoyance with one another in front of their friends, we hear their inner thoughts try to fight off feelings of attraction. In this book, Mason becomes Kingsley’s knight in shining armor on more than one occasion, and we find out it’s because of unresolved feelings surrounding his sister’s death in an car accident 5 years before. Once Kingsley finds out the real reason behind Mason’s “pig-tailing pulling” moments, she silently vows to help him, and their resulting romance brings on a lot of heartfelt emotions.
The overarching story about their families’ legacies that started in Falcon’s book continues with revealing answers in this story. Although Mason’s story ended satisfactorily, this book does end on a cliffhanger.
5 OH MY GOODNESS STARS!! OMG….I loved Mason’s story as much as Falcon’s…..I wasn’t sure that was possible. This series is killing me with these endings. I know my is heart is working beautifully…I am still alive after the first two endings. Mason and Kingsley have all the feels and has you pulling for them. I love Michelle Heard’s storytelling, she keeps me flipping the pages and telling myself to breathe. You definitely need to 1-Click this book, but you do need to start with Falcon’s book first.
Some series don’t get better with a second book, but this series does. In the second of the Trinity series we follow Mason and Kingsley’s story, which is a entertaining ride. I had a hard time putting this one down once I started. I can’t wait for Lake’s story next.
MASON by Michelle Heard is book Two in the Trinity Academy Series. This is the story of Kingsley Hunt and Mason Chargill. I have read the previous book “Falcon” which added to my enjoyment of this one, in addition there is a underlining story that is following through each book in this series. So you might just want to read the books in order to fully enjoy and understand the story line. Mason is one of the heirs to the CRC Holdings which he is also very well off and with his family being part of the start up supporters for the Trinity Academy he has a high ranking at the school. What he doesn’t have is a easy going attitude, understanding of emotions or feelings other than hurt and anger. We found out in the first book that he has lost a family member earlier which has set his tone for feelings. Kingsley is everything that he is not in emotions. Kingsley tries to see the good and the light where Mason seem to see only darkness. When she is chosen to be his assistant she isn’t going to be a easy person for him to give attitude toward.
This book does end sitting us up for the next book “Lake”.
5 My Light Stars!
One breath. Two beats of my heart.
Mason took the cake and ate it too! This book, this series… is everything with a cherry on top! All the feels from beginning to end. Mason is one sexy mofo who can go from all dark and broody to totally cute and swoony.
“Mason, unmasked. The beauty of a fallen angel… with broken wings.”
The chemistry and banter between Mason and Kingsley was off the charts scorching.
“She has challenged me every step of the way. She’s never backed down from a fight, no matter how I tried to intimidate her.”
Kingsley is a strong, take no bs from no one kind of badass, and is especially so with Mason. I absolutely loved them together. They took enemies to lovers to a whole new level. They had me laughing then crying the next page. I couldn’t get enough of them and the rest of the group!
Mason is book two of the Trinity Academy series. Mason gets his HEA, it’s not the last you hear from them as they continue in Lake’s book. Amazingly written and totally captivating, Mason is a book everyone needs in their life. Definitely one of my top books to recommend this year! I cant wait to read Michelle’s next book and see what everyone is up to next.
“I like that. I can be your light while you’re my heart.”
I knew I was going to love Mason and he did not disappoint! His story is heartbreaking and you totally understand why he is the way he is. There is so much more to him than meets the eye. I love Kingsley and how she challenges him at every turn plus she’s freaking hilarious. They have have crazy hot chemistry and you knew it was only a matter of time before they got together. I was sucked in to their story from the beginning and couldn’t get enough. I cannot wait for Lake’s book!!
Trinity Academy only gets more intriguing. Dark secrets, dastardly plots, and vendettas make this college like a daytime soap opera but with better sex.
Mason is closed off and with good reason until Kingsley makes a mess of everything with her sass, her candy, and her no f@c×$ to give. These two are special frenemies. I often found myself smirking at their comments, antics, and craziness.
Plus, I am so glad Lake’s parents are rich! Feeding that boy is an expensive endeavor. I look forward to his future happiness.

MASON’ is book 2 in Michelle Heard’s ‘Trinity Academy’ series. This is Mason & Kingsley’s story.
All I can say is – hold on to your seat and get ready for a jolly good ride! Be prepared for heartbreak, heartache, anger, pain, passion, feels, romance, steam, intrigue, suspense, chemistry, friendship, family and the sweet moments that make this such a beautiful story. I don’t want to give anything away but know Mason is a complex, unique and undeniably desirable character. He has had a past of pain. Just know that you will find him someone who is intriguing. Kingsley is a very sweet girl who has a sassy personality. Mason and her match in ways that will soon become evident. This book is amazing and the way this book ends up on that cliffhanger ending has me dying for book 3 already!!
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
Wow this instalment held so many emotions for me. I honestly think this is my favourite series from Michelle to date.
Mason is the darker one of these three hot gods at Trinity Academy. He’s the one with the tough outer shell, with the defences sky high for everyone other then his boys. He was so beautifully broken and OMG I just wanted to hug him. I spent some of this book reading through tears.
Kingsley, oh I loved this girl. She was one of the only girls to not drop at Mason’s feet. She stood up to him with her sass. As much as Mason wanted to deny it at first she has brought him back to life and made him want things he didn’t think he deserved before.
The chemistry between Mason and Kingsley was electric and seriously combustible from the very beginning. Nothing quite like angry hate sex <3
Michelle has been very evil with the end of this book and has left us hanging in the most deliciously annoying way!! I NEED LAKES BOOK NOW!!!!!
Give me more!
Fucking hell! Michelle Heard did it again.
Prepare to get your mind blown, your hopes up and broken-hearted, because that’s exactly what Michelle does lol but in a good way.
This time we have Mason story and is so much more that I was expecting.
Mason, brooding and overprotective, is ready to move on with his plan of taking over the family business and continue by his friend’s side. He was not expecting to find love with the person that hated more (not really lol he didn’t hate her) Kingsley was his biggest pain in the rear, she knew how to push his bottom and love to push all of them at the same time.
Kingsley was not a woman for him. She is full of life and laughter. He was dead inside and live a life full of regrets. But at the end love don’t care what you need or what you want and this book is for me one of the most beautiful HEA I have ever read.
Struggles still up ahead as we headed to the last book of this wonderful trilogy.
Don’t miss out this series!
Seriously, don’t!
Don’t!
My interest in Mason was piqued by him in book one,Falcon.
He got my attention right away.
I loved reading his story.
There were lol scenes and scenes that had my tears rolling out of my eyes uncontrollably.
Mason is a very multilayered character.
He is not a what you see is what you get type.
Even though that is what the mass majority of the people around him think.
There so much more to him.
He loves wholeheartedly and he hates wholeheartedly.
He’s extremely loyal and defends with all his might.
Mason let’s his strength and power shine bright.
But carefully conceals his vulnerabilities.
Kingsley is my girl.
I loved her!
She’s sassy and feisty.
She gives as good as she gets.
Kingsley is so lovable.
She’s bubbly and spirited.
The dynamics between Mason and Kingsley is absolutely combustible.
I loved seeing the interactions between them.
Their connection is undeniable.
Whether they are bickering or flirting it is always explosive.
But best of all I loved how protective they were of each other.
I can’t wait to read Lake’s story
This was a good read, very emotional! I loved Mason and Kingsley together and the comradery amongst the guys. Definitely hate the cliffhanger ending but luckily it will be out soon!
Wow, this has to be my favorite one yet. I did not put this book down!!
My impression of Mason from the first book Falcon was he was basically a moody Alpha-hole, well he didn’t prove me wrong there but as the story progressed you get to see more of the real man behind the mood, you see the hurt and the reasons for Mason being Mason to those who don’t know him.
“I fell for a feisty girl with zero style. I fell for the smile, which used to annoy me. I f** fell.”
I loved Kingsley, she is a young woman who definitely does not take any crap from anyone and even though people fear Mason because of his power and wealth and his status at the academy she isn’t the kind of person to back down and she gives as good as she gets. Kingsley may not be the type of bimbo type woman Mason normally goes for but she is definitely his match.
“You were literally a light that forced your way through the darkness. I became accustomed to after I lost my sister”
A brilliant frenemies to lovers story and a thrilling addition to this series, I was hooked from page one I could not wait to read Kingsley and Mason’s story from what I had read in the previous book, I knew I was in for some hot and fiery treat and I was not disappointed.
I loved how the guys were more playful in this book too and how you got more of an insight to their friendship dynamic.
I laughed, I swooned, I felt the angst and the heartwarming moments. I loved it and can’t wait for more.
Trinity academy is a series, each book is focused on a different character but the plot does continue so cannot be read as a standalone. I would totally recommend starting this book beginning with Falcon and Layla’s story.
ARC RECEIVED FOR REVIEW PURPOSES
Must be read after Falcon, picking straight up where it left off.
During Falcon you learnt that Mason lost his sister in a tragic accident, but now you learn just how much Mason is affected by the accident and why he is the way he is, cold and emotionless.
Kingsley overhears Mason and Lake talking and realises that Layla was right, it was how he coped, but the fact that she’s hurting him, reminding him of his sister, she knows the way he acts is only a mask for his pain. She can’t help but wonder if she can melt his cold heart.
Mason keeps reminding himself – she’s not his type, there’s not an attraction and she annoys him. Mason continually blames himself for his sister’s death, but he’s friend help him see that it was an accident, but it’s still going to take him time to accept that.
He’s friends tell him he won’t be in this stage long, he’s in the denial stage, then he’ll realise and take the plunge and then it’s all over. Mason denies it will ever happen, Kingsley challenges him and sassy AF, but he knows he won’t take the plunge, until something happens making him realise he doesn’t want to let go, now he just has to wait for Kingsley to catch up.
End’s on a cliff hanger – can’t wait for Lake’s book.
5 Cranky Stars
Oh, Michelle you better not have done me dirty with that one! It might take some time to forgive you. I refuse to accept what might have happened and I’m going to need Lakes story now so I can sleep tonight. You are a master at shaping a story and leaving everyone on the edge of their seat. Bravo to you woman!
Mason Chargill is ruthless. He presents a rough exterior and takes no one’s crap but underneath all that anger and granite is a guy with a heart. He loves his family and his friends well when his family was whole before the tragic death of his sister. He exists and is just going through the motions. Accepting his future role as President at CRC Holdings he attends Trinity Academy and it’s here he meets Kingsley Hunt. He pushes her and pushes her and fights with her every chance he gets and she gives it back just as good. He is enamored by her but refuses to acknowledge it until tragedy strikes and Mason is faced with the hard truth of how he feels about her. Kingsley Hunt hates Mason Chargill. She was beside herself when he claimed her as his assistant to get back at her for simply existing and shining her bright light on Masons dark heart. She doesn’t need his prestige or his time. She just wants to attend school and work on her own future. Kingsley is a sarcastic spitfire who doesn’t back down from a fight. She is truly the definition of dynamite coming in small packages. When she is faced with Serena and her worse fears come to play, she finds herself questioning everything even Masons feelings. Can the ruthless future company president and the girl who is happy in her own skin and loves life have a chance of a happily ever after?
I’m still not over that ending! Seriously Michelle Heard did this with Falcon and now Mason you better not end it like this with Lake. I love Mason though I could tell he had a heart with the way he loves Falcon and Lake it just needed someone to nurture it and bring it back to life. Kingsley was my idol. I love how she didn’t back down. She verbally sparred with Mason and it made me laugh. I love that finally Serena will get what’s coming to her. Mason takes no prisoners and I love it. Once again Michelle Heard took my heart for a ride with the sexy twisted love story. Now go write faster I need some Lake in my life!
Mason is the second book in the Trinity Academy series. This book is Mason and Kingsley’s story. I highly recommend you read book one in the series, Falcon, first. Falcon is Falcon and Lydia’s story but there is crucial information and key moments you don’t want to miss that leak into Mason.
After reading Falcon, I reallyyy wanted Mason’s book. He’s the broody, mean, alpha-hole, and to be honest, those are my favorite types! So to say I was excited for Mason is an understatement. I’m not sure what it was, but I couldn’t connect with Falcon and Lydia in book one. But after the ending Michelle left us with, I knew I had to read Mason to figure out what had happened. Even though I couldn’t get in to Falcon, I REALLY enjoyed reading Mason.
Mason and Kingsley’s relationship is a tolerate/hate relationship. I say tolerate and not love because that’s about all they did to each other in the beginning. They tolerated each other for the sake of Falcon and Lydia. I really enjoyed their banter though. Kingsley did and WOULD NOT put up with Mason’s crap. She gave just as good as she got. She refused to be a pee-on.
Mason has such a tragic past that he refuses to move on from. So he takes his anger out on everybody else.. including Kingsley.
Kingsley has this perky, doesn’t care what anybody thinks about her attitude. She is spunky and goofy. Clumsy and free-spirited.
Michelle really stepped it up with Mason and this book got me back into the series. That ending has me hanging out by a thread though!
“Oh Mr President”
Another awesome book in the Trinity Academy Trilogy. My perspective keeps changing with each book and the more time spent with the elite attendees of the Trinity Academy. As the true agendas are revealed I see a different side to these men, one kept guarded for those close to them. It has become obvious that not only are Falcon, Mason and Lake close but their fathers share the very same bond.
There’s a lot weighing down on Mason’s broad shoulders, upcoming President of CRC Holdings and the guilt of Jen’s horrible death. He keeps people at a distance with his abrupt attitude, but his icy exterior begins to melt after the events on the side of the mountain. Guilt once again holds him in contempt, as he blames himself for not holding onto and keeping Kingsley safe. Mason is guided into a journey of taking back his life and living it.
Mason by Michelle Heard is the second book in her Trinity Academy series. Picking up where book one, Falcon, left off in a wicked cliffhanger, book two doesn’t disappoint. I was left wondering in the early pages just how Mason and Kingsley would ever be able to get past their surface animosity to each other but with the unintentional help of some crappy people tensions run high and they manage to work it out, if you know what I mean – WINK! There is an underlying level of respect that these main characters to the series have for each other, for their families, and for those they love. It is refreshing to see domineering rich alpha men with such openly soft hearts with those they care for. This also ends on a cliffhanger – probably even more intense than the last one and thank goodness it’s on;y a week until the release of book three, Lake. Enjoy!
