I kept waiting to see if she’d do what everyone expects her to. I cant wait to read the next one just to find out how is going to tell her the truth.
A great series! Wonderful historical fiction that is easy to read.
Very enjoyable.
This book was much better than I thought it’d be! I really enjoyed the characters and the struggles they went through to make it to the other side. It was well written and fun to read!
Haven’t been this drawn into an imaginary world since The Godfather.
It took me a few chapters to get into this book, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down and had to read all 6 accompanying books. There were some parts that were too gory for me, but it was a WONDERFUL story. I was sorry when it was over.
Initially I felt this was slow moving and a little trite but as the series progressed it became way more interesting and entertaining
The most interesting aspect of this novel was the women’s place in society. It offerred an insight into the hardships of women born even into the upper eschelon of society.
More! More! Give me more!
Love the book…still waiting for the next one in this series.
Predictable in some ways, but with a twist. The heroine goes to London for the season to find a husband only to find herself courted by a very curious fop whom she eventually finds herself married to by an equally curious set of circumstances. But who really is the man she finds herself married to? The book end with a cliffhanger leaving one wanting to find out not only who he is, but also the resolution of the mystery in which she has become unwittingly involved. I’m pretty well convinced I know his true identity because the author he’s left some clues, but what will our heroine think when she discovers that he is not who she thinks he is? Will she be pleasantly surprised or will she be angry at his deception?
The characters were well developed and interesting. I really enjoyed the story, this is a series of 3. All well worth the read!
I absolutely loved reading this historical romance! It was very well written with characters that had so much character. The story always kept me eager to turn the page. But the ending…kept me hanging. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
After reading all the Outlander books, I was drawn to this. Well written, good characterization but not enough historical detail and I hated there was no ending!!! From the first chapter I knew this guy was going to be the Knight in shining armor, so all along I was anticipating the great reveal (at least to her) …..never happened. Is there a sequel? If not, I’m not reading another one of her books fearing the same kind of ending.
I will definitely rear this series
Too much a romance … not enough history. Characters built up well but plot is too full of slicing corsets and “oh should I or shouldn’t I? “
Loved the book. Have bought all the books in this series.
Enjoyed it , would like the others.
Only problem was i wanted next chapter
This was fun to read. I liked the unexpected twists.
