Sometimes it takes a reality television show to show you the love that’s right in front of you…
To Louisa Tanner, Jack Doyle is perfect—heart surgeon, loving single father, and best friend a girl could have—so it’s no surprise when he’s tapped as the next Mister Perfect for the reality dating series Marrying Mister Perfect. But watching her secret crush romancing gorgeous women on national … national television? That flat out sucks—even if he will never see her as more than a pal.
Jack is skeptical of reality shows as a path to love, but drastic measures are needed to shake him and Lou out of their rut. His friend deserves better than being his live-in nanny and will never chase her dreams if she is busy taking care of him and his kids, so he vows to take the show seriously and find a new wife.
But the more stunning women he woos on command, the more he begins to realize the only woman he wants just might be the one he left back home. How can he seduce his best friend without jeopardizing their friendship? Especially when the cameras are always rolling…

An entertaining story! I enjoyed following Lou on her quest for love.
An entertaining and enjoyable read. Lou is kind hearted and such a great comfort to Emma and TJ. Jack is a hot shot surgeon but oblivious.
Jack going on the Marrying Mister Perfect show reveals emotions neither of them had allowed themselves to feel.
Absolutely loved this book!!! Great job!!!!
Great job Lizzie Shane!
I loved this book! It was original and entertaining, which is exactly what I like! Thanks!
A well written and edited book, a silly concept of putting a widowed Dr on reality TV, but handled well. I enjoyed the descriptions of the TV process and the LA locations as well as a wonderful love story with REAL characters with flaws and all!
I loved this book. It was refreshing and a bit whimsical. The author brought the characters to life and I was cheering them on, eager to see what would happen next.
Better than most…especially if you are a Bachelor fan
While I’m generally not a fan of books based on reality show situations, this was original and entertaining. The long-standing relationship between the protagonists offered a fresh perspective on the friends to lovers romance trope.
Allow for the fact that I shudder at the Bachelor shows. This is a great poke at that genre. I could not stand Jack for most of it. I laughed a lot at the various events. I wanted to knock some heads together. But alls well that ends well.
Enjoyed reading this book.
Cute story.
iT WAS A DELIGHT–The characters are alive with passion, the doctor, because he obligated himself to see the projec through and eventually give in go love==that was always there, very sweet
Loved this book. Great story.
The beginning of “Marrying Mr. Perfect” (nook) was an unusual way to introduce the main characters. I immediately was drawn into the story and cried my way through all of the ups and downs for Lou and Jack. A great angst-filled story with a HEA.
This ebook was available for free on Amazon, and, intrigued by the premise, I decided to give it a go. As a Bachelor fan, I adored the idea of the story taking place in a fictional version of the Bachelor where the protagonist is secretly in love with her best friend who becomes the next “Mr. Perfect” (aka Bachelor). I’ve read a couple different Bachelor-esque love stories of varying quality, so I was hooked. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, which is told from both the male and female leads’ points of view and has quite likable main characters, albeit fairly stereotypical supporting characters. However, it was EXTREMELY predictable, and, at times, a little boring. Predictability isn’t always bad (I love knowing there’s a happy ending and who doesn’t love certain romance tropes?), but there were pretty much ZERO twists and turns to this story to add intrigue. I guess in that way, it’s not very anxiety-inducing, if that’s what you’re looking for. There’s also a strange and rather unfinished subplot involving one of the television producers, that was never quite wrapped up and it’s unclear whether it may be a thread through the series, the producer gets her own book, or what we got was supposed to her happy ending. Regardless, for a free book, it’s a definite download. Now the question is whether I spring to purchase the rest in the series…
A whimsical with some angst but not too much read.
Attention grabbing. I really enjoyed Jack and Lou’s story! It was hard to put this book down once I started reading it. If the rest of the series is this good, I can’t wait to read it!
