“Katy Regnery is a fresh new voice. I eagerly await every Katy book and I tell everyone I know to read them!” –Carly Phillips, NY Times Bestselling Author
Note: Marrying Mr. English is a STANDALONE PREQUEL to the English Brothers series and can be read before or after the other six books.
Trust fund playboy, Tom English, was supposed to find a “good woman” and marry her by midnight on his 32nd … midnight on his 32nd birthday. If he didn’t, his grandfather promised to disinherit him. Unfortunately for Tom, three days before he was set to get married in Vail, his fiance elopes with her skiing instructor leaving Tom high and dry. With only a week before his birthday, it looks like Tom will forfeit his millions.
When Eleanora Watters, a smart, sassy – totally broke – waitress, spies down-on-his-luck Tom English in the breakfast-all-day diner where she works, she doesn’t think much of him. He’s at least ten years older than she is and he looks like another trust fund jerk with a silver spoon shoved up his…a-hem. But Tom surprises her. Set up on a blind date by Eleanora’s cousin, the two bond over books, and after spending just a few hours together, Eleanora offers to marry Tom in order to help him secure his fortune.
After a whirlwind marriage in Las Vegas, Tom and Eleanora begin to realize that they’re not as unlikely a match as they once seemed, and their feelings for each other deepen. But when Tom’s grandfather sees through their scheme and threatens to cut them off, Tom will have to decide if he wants the money more than the Colorado waitress who seems to be something between “a dream and a miracle.”
This full-length, standalone prequel can be read before OR after the six English Brothers novels!

Great romantic read with great humor and suggestive sex without being prurient! Loved this book!
Great job
I absolutely loved this book and I read the whole series. Each one is about one of the English children…and then then the parents story as well. It’s well written and sweet. I highly recommend it to lovers of romance.
Loved this book. Ended up buying all the rest of them. Great series.
I didn’t finish the book. It was not entertaining to me and I gave up reading it.
Great story with believable characters that were smart and reasonable while still being funny and entertaining.
I enjoyed this book very much.
Loved this book, I don’t usually like contemporary novels but always like hers.
This book was realistic and informative and I iked the ending.
Read all of the Blueberry Lane series and had enjoyed each and every one of them. Although according to the Amazon suggestion where you can read Marrying Mr. English, before or after the series, I personally think it’s best to read it at the end, as I plan to do now … read it the second time.
Fun book to read.
fun read
could not get interested in the book from the beginning.
Enjoyed story easy read.
Love Kate Regnery! Marrying Mr. English pulls at your heart strings. Definitely worth a read!
Falling in love with all the characters in the “Blueberry Lane” series is proving to be as easy as breathing. With the exception of a few (because you can’t win ’em all) I have loved each uniqure story in this series, from Barrett and Emily to the breathtaking romance between supposed scoundrel Etienne and the darling Kate English. The story between Patriarchs Tom and Eleanora English was something I didn’t know I wanted until this author announced she was writing it. All bets were off then because the thought of their story excited me like no other.
Tom and Eleanora have been together for 30 plus years and survived having 5 sons and what a pleasant surprise to see how it all began! I would have never guessed, as strong of a pair as these two have been (granted we’ve only seen them at the fringe of their sons stories) that their start would have been such a whirlwind. A chance encounter, a mutual decision and trip to Nevada culminated in one HELL of a great and epicly sweet, endearing romance for this amazing duo! Tom and Eleanora had a story full of love and hope that could turn the most bitter heart (raises hand) into a warm melting pot of glee. I’m always scared to start one of Regnery’s books because I KNOW she writes such great romance and I’m such a scrooge that I don’t want to chance ruining one of her stories with my attitude and though it’s only happened twice, where I just didn’t quite mesh with one of her books, I always come out feeling more in love with her world. Once again, I absolutely LOVED this two part story and continue to anticipate things to come from this talented author.
Enjoyed this happily ever after story. Love that it set the stage for the books about their children
Too much filthy language.
I liked the characters although the initial scenario was a little contrived, the story ultimately worked! I love how tenacious the characters are and how they grew together throughout the story and became a strong bonded couple.
Good book a bit long winded but worth the read!
