“Katy Regnery is a fresh new voice. I eagerly await every Katy book and I tell everyone I know to read them!” –Carly Phillips, NY Times Bestselling Author
Note: Marrying Mr. English is a STANDALONE PREQUEL to the English Brothers series and can be read before or after the other six books.
Trust fund playboy, Tom English, was supposed to find a “good woman” and marry her by midnight on his 32nd … midnight on his 32nd birthday. If he didn’t, his grandfather promised to disinherit him. Unfortunately for Tom, three days before he was set to get married in Vail, his fiance elopes with her skiing instructor leaving Tom high and dry. With only a week before his birthday, it looks like Tom will forfeit his millions.
When Eleanora Watters, a smart, sassy – totally broke – waitress, spies down-on-his-luck Tom English in the breakfast-all-day diner where she works, she doesn’t think much of him. He’s at least ten years older than she is and he looks like another trust fund jerk with a silver spoon shoved up his…a-hem. But Tom surprises her. Set up on a blind date by Eleanora’s cousin, the two bond over books, and after spending just a few hours together, Eleanora offers to marry Tom in order to help him secure his fortune.
After a whirlwind marriage in Las Vegas, Tom and Eleanora begin to realize that they’re not as unlikely a match as they once seemed, and their feelings for each other deepen. But when Tom’s grandfather sees through their scheme and threatens to cut them off, Tom will have to decide if he wants the money more than the Colorado waitress who seems to be something between “a dream and a miracle.”
This full-length, standalone prequel can be read before OR after the six English Brothers novels!

Great book
Wow!!! I loved this story so much!!!!! So Mr. English has to get married to get his trust fund. In walks Eleanora, and her sassy attitude.
Tom lets her know what is happening and at first of course, they are only doing it for the money, but they find themselves smitten with each other. Tom is accustomed to the rich life, and Eleanora is accustomed to the penny pinching lifestyle.
Tables turn, and Tom has to learn how to do pinch some pennies!! So many twists and turns on what happens, and it’s so good!!! They all make the amazing story that it is.
I liked how Katy makes it jump back and forth from when Tom and Eleanora met, and to when their older kids, and their partners are all together. She’s telling the story of how it all happened.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Beautiful
The beginning. This is a wonderful story about how the English brothers came to be. It’s always great to know the back story about the parents. Tom & Eleanora may have come from two different kinds of lives. But love reigned even in the hard times.
This was a wonderful love story. I truly enjoyed it from start to finish. I look forward to reading more work by this author. I definitely recommend this book and this author.
2.75 stars
Cute Cinderella like story. Poor, sweet, tough h and a sexy, rich H needing a wife. They make a deal but fall in love. Cute quick read to introduce the series.
A very sweet, romantic, beautiful, story. Loved every word.
I just could’n get into this book
I loved this book so much, I read about all the English brothers, the Winslow Brothers & the Rosseau’s. Out of the 13 books, there was only one that I didn’t care for all that much. But, so worth reading if you enjoy romance.
I enjoyed this book!
A sweet, lovely story with an engaging plot and characters that capture your heart. Well written and a joy to read.
I’m not usually a romance novel reader, but this was recommended to me. I like the way she handled the passage of time in this story.
Love the series’
Great reading!
Fun read
I liked how the story was put in a setting in the past 30 years.
I enjoyed this book.
3.5 actually, but I’ll bump to 4. This is a modern take on Cinderella. Apparently, you can read this one as the start to Blueberry Lane/English Brothers, or you can read it as seventh in the series as a flashback. I read it as the introduction to the series, since I haven’t read any others I’m not sure which order is best or if it even matters. OK, so what did I think? It was a cute story. The whole insta-love thing wasn’t too realistic, but the rest of the book was believable. It’s a good read for when you’re busy. It isn’t a book you can’t put down and it’s easy to follow. Eleanora and Tom are an engaging couple that may be just a little too perfect. But this is a good start to a new to me series.
Loved it!
Great foundation for the introduction to the rest of the stand alone characters to follow.
A good, if slightly typical romance novel.
