Very entertaining and great story line!
A surprise in the marshal. Women were tough back then too. In a different way than today. Hard to put down once I began!
A lady Marshall back then was an interesting twist
Who ever heard of a female marshal? I like that the person I thought was the villian, wasn’t. That rarely happens, so it was refreshing! Interesting characters. Well written. No smutty sex scenes. A great read.
Story of a strong woman who was placed in a position where she was doomed to fail, but managed to succeed with the help of the community. Story would have been better if it developed the mystery of her late husband and friend’s husband better–wove the mystery a little more.
I really enjoyed this book. Kept you guessing.
This book was OK. It could have been longer, but the characters were good.
Great book, good characters, totally enjoyed this book
I would have loved to be in her shoes.
The idea of a woman marshall intrigued me, and the author did a wonderful job of making it realistic. All “loose ends” were tied up, no random traits or details that clashed with the story, it all fit together as one big satisfactory puzzle. Highly recommended for fans of clean historical romance who love a happy ending.
One of the best books I have read in a while! Loved it!
Different slant on western story!
Unusual Western – light esy reading with a few laughs & some suspense.
Liked reading a clean romance!
A fun romantic story in the old west! Clean and enjoyable!!
A clean, unexpected, enjoyable read. Great read for a relaxing afternoon.
I love historical fiction but this was a little contrived. I enjoyed the book though.
This is one of those books you dont want to lay down. Very talanted author
Great read, didn’t figure out the ending as with other books. Like the Author.
This book is a light read that has the added plot twist of high level corruption among public servants. The title character is appointed marshal after her husband (the former marshal) is killed. Forced to marry because of town gossip, they agree to annul the union once again the investigator solves his case but soon realize that they’ve grown to admire one another while working together.
