Viktor Sokolov doesn’t know if he should make love to his beautiful new wife… or kill her. Growing up with a father who held a high position in the Russian mob, Alexandra Volkin was thrilled when her parents signed a contract promising her to a Russian mob boss, even though she’d never met him. All she’d ever wanted was to be the powerful woman of a man everyone respected. So, when her intended … intended is murdered and she is promised to another, Alexandra is nearly unfazed. One mob boss is as good as another. Besides, she can’t deny the strong attraction she feels for Viktor. Alexandra learned at a young age that sex equals power, and she’s about to exert a heavy dose of power on her new, coldly distant husband. It’s not long, though, before she learns Viktor believes her father murdered his own.
Through a dark twist of fate, Viktor marries the woman intended for his murdered father—and his lovely bride’s own father is the likely murderer. As the saying goes, though, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. It’s not so big a sacrifice when your enemy is your sexy new wife. Viktor doesn’t have the stomach for the brutal violence his father exacted on his enemies, but it’s almost a certainty that his wife’s father killed his own father, and that leaves him with little choice. Yet, while he can ignore his pretty wife’s pleas, and her insistence that her father is innocent… ignoring how she makes him feel is a whole different challenge.
There isn’t a going to be a happily ever after for the two of them. Unless, that is, she can prove her father’s innocence.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. It’s really good from start to finish. I absolutely love Viktor and Alexandra. They are just perfect for each other. I need more of them please!!!
Viktor Sokolov marries the woman who was destined to marry his father. Alexandra Volkin must prove she had nothing to do his father’s death while falling in love with her husband. Good story to keep the pages turning. New series for the Sokolov brothers starts in this book.
Ebook from net galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
** spoiler alert ** Alexandria has always dreamed of being a wife and being respected. Viktor took his father’s place when it came to everything from marriage to occupation. He is determined to find out who killed his father. Will Viktor figure out who is behind it? Will Alexandria get the life she has always dreamed of?
Definitely liked how both of these characters couldn’t help their attraction despite what was going on. I loved how Alexandria was determined to do what she could to help. Loved how Viktor couldn’t help, but soften towards her time and again, despite what his suspensions were. Good read!
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) I read the second part to the this series first and since I enjoyed it grabbed this one and was happy that I did. So we meet Alexandria who has always wanted to marry a mob boss (yeah) she was supposed to marry viktor’s dad but he was murdered and so Viktor steps in. Viktor will do what he needs to do even if he has to kill his new wife, he is a jerk and doesn’t listen when he needs to..but as these two start on there marriage which as you just noticed is pretty much a business deal it does change..Enjoy!
A very intriguing, excellent story with love scenes that steam up the pages a lot of challenges filled with action that add a whole twist to things which made me love it more
Alexandria was sweet and naive as she anxiously looks forward to her marriage. She’s been groomed from a young age to be the bride of a Russian leader, and it doesn’t seem to matter who it is. Optimistic that her marriage will grow into a strong one as she has faith in the stable bond her own parents have nurtured together in spite of also being arranged years ago.
Viktor is full of purpose, pride, and loyalty to his Bratva. Stepping into his murdered father’s shoes by marrying his young intended bride is done emotionlessly and dutifully.
Alexandra is as sweet, trusting, and warm as Viktor is calculating, suspicious, and cold.
I loved the way her guileless personality charms Viktor in spite of his reservations.
The writing style was easy to follow with steamy and romantic scenes that show the growing relationship between the main couple.
Some drama as the true culprit is exposed and loyalties are tested.

My first Leslie North read. Book 1 in the Sokolov Brothers follows Vikto Sokolov as he marries his dead father’s bride to be Alexandra Volkin. Predictable, very cheesy, quick and enjoyable read. Overall not my idea of a fantastic read. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
I’ve read other books by Leslie North. Look at her Amazon page and you’ll see that this is her type of story. I enjoyed the exciting and fast-paced story, paired with characters that have you cheering them on. There are twists and turns, so make sure you allow ample time to read the book in one sitting. If not, you’ll want to steal away as soon as you can to continue. Now, onto book 2!

This story has so much going for it from beginning to end. These guys have issues from the beginning and it’s a difficult road, but they finally get their HEA. This page-turning story makes you sit on the edge of your seat holding your breath waiting for the next shoe to drop.

This book is a good mafia romance that is captivating, intense, and gripping. The characters are enticing. I am voluntarily reading and reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
A great well written mystery romance is faced paced nail biting story that is filled with angst, passion, and drama. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out who the murderer is and why all the while the love is growing between and Alexandra and Viktor. Alexandra wants to marry a mob boss so when she ends with an arranged marriage it becomes ideal. Before her wedding her fiancee is murdered. She ends marrying her fiancee’s oldest son Viktor the next mob boss. As investigation continues it starts to point towards Alexandra dad and her. She tries to prove that untrue and the feelings and chemistry can’t be denied. A great exciting read. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

Married to the Russian Kingpin: Sokolov Brothers Book One Written by Leslie North
“I’m getting married! I’m finally getting married, and to a rich, powerful Russian mafia boss, too. My own happily ever after.”
Wow~I finished this book in one sitting. I couldn’t believe when I hit the last page…I didn’t want the story to end! I’m excited for book two Falling for the Mob Soldier. It is next on my TBR list!
“I’ll do it. For my family.”
The expression careful what you wish for could not be more true…what you may think will be your ultimate dream may soon become your worst nightmare when granted. To live in the unknown, fear, uncertainty, being on guard, recipient of others rash mood swings may not be worth the title of Mrs.
“This mansion, beautiful as it appeared, was to be her prison.”
This book keeps you guessing until the final pages. It is filled with deceit, mystery, passion, pride, loyalty, revenge, sacrifices, secrets and hope.
“Confusion tugged at him, but he remained stoic in front of the men. Bad enough that he was uncertain how far he was willing to go; he didn’t need anyone to doubt him or his position as leader.”
Book 1 in the Sokolov Brothers novella series, Married to the Russian Kingpin is a great read. I found the storyline and the characters intriguing and well developed. I will definitely be recommending to other and looking forward to reading more by this wonderful author

In this marriage of convenience who has the upper hand? Is it the bride with a warped sense of security. Or the groom with an agenda of his own? When your world is built on a web of lies, there’s no where to go but down. North is back with more danger, more heart and more puzzles waiting to be solved. Finding your footing is only half the battle. Just when the pieces seem to make sense, there’s always a twist to throw you off course.
Alex was supposed to marry a mob boss he is killed she marries his son , I don’t like how she just goes with the flow to protect her family. But the she starts to fall in love with the new mob boss

I just finished reading this book and it was another awesome book by Leslie North. The characters are well developed and are interesting which drew me into the story. Alexandria and Viktor have amazing chemistry but they also have to navigate through some major drama (which was riveting). I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance story with some suspense thrown in.
A fast read that kept my interest throughout. Viktor Sokolov and Alexandra Volkin’s story has murder, suspense, drama, a traitor and two people who will have to learn to trust. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a story, I love everything Leslie North writes. Married to the Russian Kingpin is an exciting tale With mystery, murder, romance, intrigue and passion. Victor is the head of the Russian Mob family and Alexandra has just married him, what she hoped was going to be a wonderful marriage is not Viktor is scary and cold, when she finds out what Viktor is up to she sets out to prove him wrong and save the people she loves. There is never better than settling down with a sexy mafia story that is captivating from the first page till the last and this story is that and more. Can’t wait for book 2.
